Penis Pump for Erectile Dysfunction vs Viagra: Which Works Better?

A doctor explains how penile vacuum pumps work for erectile dysfunction and compares them to Viagra. Clinical studies show pumps can be as effective as Viagra for moderate ED. She walks through proper technique: shaving, lubricating, pumping for 2-3 minutes, and repeating daily, then recommends two German-made devices.

I want to talk about penis pumps because I think that there is so much shame around using a penis pump. I've even heard it from men that I know, and I want to overcome all of that. I want to talk about it without shame because penis pumps, when used properly, are incredible devices that can support your erectile function, especially if you're a guy that's had a prostatectomy, if you're struggling with erectile dysfunction, if you've got Peyronie's disease. Let's face it, erectile dysfunction is incredibly common. The stats are that something like 50% of all men over 50 experience some form of erectile dysfunction, and pumps can be an incredibly great way to support your erectile health, and I'm a great believer in using them. So let's talk about the different kind of pumps and what they do. So this one is called the Rehabi, and it is a penile vacuum trainer. And what that means is it's going to encourage the blood to go into your penis and start to rehabilitate and help with your erectile function, especially if you're a guy who's struggling, or like I said, just had a prostatectomy. Caveat: please do ask your doctor before using any of the pumps I'm going to show you, because they will tell you whether you're good to go. What happens when you use a pump? Well, first off, you want to lube up down there. I after you shave the base of your penis and you've made sure that area is nice and smooth, because that's what's going to create the good suction. So lube up down there, lube your penis, lube the edges, and then you're going to stick your plastic penis in here and you're going to start pumping. Um, that's going to create the suction, the vacuum, that's going to draw the blood into the penis. You're going to leave this on for 2, 3 minutes, and then you're going to release the air pressing this button, and then you're going to do that all over again. Pump, pump, pump, wait a couple of minutes, release the air, and you can do this a couple of times a day, and that's going to encourage the blood to more easily get into your penis and ultimately give you a better, stronger erection. So there's this one, it's called the Rahabi, and then there's this one which is called the Active 3. Now this is an electric pump As you can see, it's got buttons on it. You can plug it into a USB and recharge it. This one operates in a very similar way, creates a vacuum. Again, you're going to lube up down there, stick your flaccid penis in, pump, press the button until you've got a nice strong erection, and then you're going to release the ring. And these rings come in various sizes over the base of your penis, and that's going to allow you to have sex. And the, um, yeah, so again, this device can be used in place of something like Viagra, and there's been some studies that have shown that if you've got moderate erectile dysfunction, it is just as good as taking the blue pill. So if you're a guy who doesn't want to go on prescription medication, this might be an alternative for you to consider. And yeah, these two are medical devices. They're made by Medentim, the Rahabi and the Active 3. This is the Rahabi, this is the Active 3. They're both incredibly robust, German-made. They're sold by The Urology Shop, and I'm going to put a link to my bio that's going to give you a lovely little discount. But please, please do consider penis pumps if you are a guy struggling with erectile dysfunction, because they are really an essential part of penile rehabilitation. We need to get over the shame around using them, and I'm a big advocate for them.
