Now let's talk about a different kind of sex tourism. Sex tourism's got a bit of a bad name because it typically refers to often middle-aged women who go out to foreign countries seeking sex with sometimes young men who can be predatory and looking for a passport. But we're not talking about that. We're talking about just when you're traveling as a solo traveler. Especially as a woman, the opportunity to meet somebody for a date without any of that other stuff and just enjoying just meeting somebody wherever you are. And thanks to the wonders of the internet and all the apps that are out there, you can do that pretty easily. Back in the day, I used to use Craigslist when I was traveling, and it was a lot of fun to just rock up somewhere and just put an ad saying that I was in town for a week and seeing if I could meet up with one or more people, and often I did, and it was— it could be fun. But nowadays, of course, Craigslist doesn't allow you to do that, but there are other apps that do. And I just have a few words of advice if you are traveling and you want to go on a date with someone. One, make sure that you meet in a public place because, well, it's just for safety really. You don't want to necessarily go back to somebody's home that you've never met before because who knows what might happen. Two, there's no requirement to have sex with somebody that you've just met, and I'm sure I don't need to tell you that, but if you meet somebody and you're traveling and you just have a cup of coffee or a drink, it can just stop there and that's all. 3, I would suggest that you indicate on your profile that you're just traveling somewhere and you're not going to be in town for long, so that, that alleviates any disappointment that the other person might feel because it's clear that you're not going to be there for long. And similarly, on your side, it's clear that this is just a bit of fun that you can have while you're away from home.
