Suzanne Noble explains how partners who pressure women to orgasm, or 'orgasm chasers,' actually prevent climax by making women tense and unsafe. She argues that partners need to step back and let women reach orgasm on their own terms.

Let's talk about orgasm chasers, those guys who really are determined to make sure that they give you an orgasm, and they do that by informing you that they're going to make you come. It is such an enormous amount of pressure for so many women, myself included, to be with someone who insists that they're going to make me come because Frankly, as Zoe, my co-host on our podcast, said recently, in order to have an orgasm, most women need to be really relaxed, really comfortable, feel really safe and secure. And often they don't. That pressure that comes from being told, I'm going to make you come, as if it's some big achievement like climbing a mountain for them or winning some great award, is actually exactly what you don't want. What you want is to just feel really relaxed and to feel really comfortable and not to feel the pressure that you might feel from somebody who insists that making you come is the ultimate thing for them. So orgasm chasers, chill out, relax, just let women have their orgasm as and when they want to.
