Let's talk about what gives your partner pleasure. And I don't mean preferring Chinese over Italian food, or bikes as opposed to cars, or baseball as opposed to football. I'm talking about the stuff in the bedroom, those intimate topics that we so very rarely discuss with our partner. We think we know them because maybe we think, well, they seem to be enjoying themselves. That's the sign that everything's good, right? But we all have so much other stuff going on in our brain that we so very rarely discuss. Fantasies that we may have about things, just stuff that we'd like to do that perhaps we're just too scared to ask our partner to try. So one of the things I can recommend is what's called the Yes, No, Maybe checklist. You can Google it, Yes, No, Maybe checklist. I'm actually going to put some links in my bio, but basically what it is is exactly what it says, is it's a checklist where each of you go through and say yes, no, or maybe to a whole variety of sexual activities. Some of them may be really basic, like kissing in public for instance, and some of them may be more kinky, like spanking for example. But it's a really good way to actually open up the subject about some of those topics that you may be too scared to discuss by just literally marking off on paper whether or not you would like to try stuff out, really don't want to try stuff out, or perhaps you're— you would be open to it. The Yes, No, Maybe Checklist, it's a great way to open up your relationship to some of those things that maybe you really would like to try but you're just too scared to suggest.
