Three dating terms that didn't exist a decade ago: love bombing, where someone floods you with intense flattery; breadcrumbs, the sporadic messages that hint at interest but go nowhere; and ghosting, when they vanish completely.

Breadcrumbs, love bombs, and ghosting. Until recently, I had no idea what any of these words meant, but if you're familiar with online dating, then maybe you've heard them before, or maybe it's even happened to you. Let's start with love bombing. Love bombing is when you meet somebody and you seem to click, and before you know it, they're just bombarding you with messages telling you how awesome you are and how wonderful and fabulous and just making you feel really special and of course getting those big dopamine hits every time that text message comes through. Breadcrumbs is when somebody is perhaps doing all that love bombing but being very non-committal as to when they're going to see you again. Or maybe they're just giving you bits of attention in the shape of breadcrumbs that just suggests that maybe something's gonna happen, but then nothing really ever does. There's just no action being taken. And finally, let's talk about ghosting, my favorite one, which is when you've perhaps been out with somebody, you thought it was all going very well, you've had some communication back and forth, and then suddenly they just disappear. I'm curious to know if any of this is familiar to you. It's happened to you, you know, your thoughts about any of that, or if there's some other words that I don't even know about that you've heard that maybe you could share with us. Don't forget, if you like watching my videos, to please like and follow me.
