This is a YouTube video titled "There’s an old song The Roches called the married men and it made me reflect on the times" (uploaded 2023-11-01). It contains a first-person reflective monologue by a single, unnamed speaker discussing experiences and opinions about dating married men — noting short-term benefits (nice dinners, hotels) but emphasizing long-term downsides (limited availability, low priority, inability to have a full partnership) and advising against repeating the behavior. The excerpt reads like a personal vlog/reflection rather than a multi-speaker conversation.

Perhaps you're thinking about going out with a married man, or maybe you are going out with a married man. One of the things that my mother told me, and I think it's absolutely true, is that after 6 months, if the guy hasn't left his wife, he's unlikely to. Of course, there are some benefits to going out with a married guy, especially if he's got a bit of cash. I've done this sort of thing way in the past. I wouldn't do it anymore, and had some very nice dinners, went to some incredibly lovely hotels which I really liked, and just generally had a really nice time. But the downside was couldn't ring him up in the middle of the night or pretty much any time when he— I knew he was with his family because I knew he wouldn't pick up. I knew that we weren't ever going to go on long holidays together, and I knew that when it came to his priorities I was most definitely at the bottom of the list and his family and all of the stuff around that was definitely a priority for him. I also know that if you are also married and with a married person, then perhaps you're both on a fairly equal level and you recognize the circumstance that you're in and you just make the best of it. But when one of you then becomes not so married, i.e., divorced, then of course the dynamic can very quickly change because the divorced one realizes they don't have to put up with all that limited time that their married partner has available, and they don't have to put up with being way down on their list of priorities. They can find somebody who's equally available and have a lot more of an equal relationship with that person, and I suspect it's a lot more fun. So, you know, those are my thoughts on going out with the married guy. Wouldn't do it again, but I can recognize the benefits when I was in that situation.
