Hi, let's talk about all the men who write to me about their partners who they say no longer want to have sex with them. I've got news for you. Often the reason why older women aren't having sex anymore is simply because it hurts. And I know that because it started hurting for me, and thankfully I met a sympathetic GP and I was prescribed vaginal estrogen, which literally transformed my sex life within weeks. Suddenly I was able to experience pleasurable sex again and nothing hurt and it was all good down there. But of course that's not true, unfortunately, of all GPs. And I've heard from so many older women that GPs are either just ignoring their request to have pleasurable sex and not really supporting them in that, saying to them that, well, they're past procreating age, so what do they need to worry about that kind of stuff for? And they're just not being heard. And so that So what that means, guys, is that if you have to, you need to go with your partner to see that doctor and to advocate for your partner's sexual health and sexual pleasure. Because unfortunately, and I know this from a friend of mine who did this with his wife, until that point, nothing happened. I know it's a dreadful situation, but if everybody's going to be happy and have pleasurable sex, unfortunately, that's where we seem to be. A lot of the time. So guys, you can ask your partner if sex hurts, you can go with your partner to see the doctor together, and you can together try and get her the help that she needs so that you can both have great pleasurable sex.
