What's your communication style? I was thinking about that this morning because I've been living in another country and all my friends and everybody are somewhere else, and so there's a lot of texting going on and also some phone calls and things. And I am definitely a phone person when it comes to talking to people. I either like to meet them face-to-face or go on something like Zoom where I can see their face, or second best to that is via the phone. And I find texting actually really not very conducive for making a genuine connection. Yeah, it's really great when you want to say things that you might find difficult face-to-face, and I do find it sometimes easier to be able to share my feelings over text, it feels less, well, less vulnerable. But when it comes to actual connections and building connections and really getting to know somebody, if I can't see their face, if I can't hear the sound of their voice, if I can't like recognize the inflections in their voice and their, their, you know, face and body language and all of that stuff, then I don't really know completely what's going on. And I suspect that's why I sometimes struggle in relationships that are solely based on conversing via text. It's great for kind of, you know, getting a little bit fruity sometimes, and you can do sexting and things which can be fun. But when it comes to like actually establishing a real relationship, for me, face-to-face, phone, seeing the person, hearing them is really for me what counts.
