What if we thought about our intimate relationships, our partner, in the same way that we thought about a job that we absolutely love doing? What would that look like? Well, you'd turn up on time, you'd be punctual, you'd do what you said you were going to do and just do it. Um, you'd want to be respected, right? Like in a job that you love, you want to be respected, you want the admiration of your colleagues. So you want the person that you're with to admire you and think you're pretty special. And probably you might go out of your way, maybe do some overtime or whatever, to please your manager, to please your colleague, or to show that you're really invested in what it is you're doing. In the same way that you might want to do that in your intimate relationships, just go a little bit overboard, do something a little bit special, a bit thoughtful, to show your partner that you really care about them. Why is it that sometimes we don't think about our intimate relationships in the same way that we do a job that we love? After all, a job that we love is probably not going to stick around with us for life, but with any luck, our partner is.
