I've been thinking about how many people I know, especially those people that are in long-term relationships, older people, people in their late 50s and 60s, don't seem to have any intimacy in their life at all. They've stopped having sex with their partner ages ago, and they're just not having sex with anyone. There's no intimacy, there's no closeness, there's no physical connection, and I find that really kind of sad. I think that it's an important part of one's life. I know it's certainly an important part of my life. And it makes you feel good, it gets all those endorphins going, it brings you closer to your partner or to somebody else who may be just an occasional partner. But for me, it's still an important part of my life and I want to continue to do it. But I know that that's not the same for everyone, and I've certainly been told by lots of men that I've met that in many ways I'm unusual because there are a lot of people out there who just don't seem to be particularly interested. And if you do want intimacy and you're not getting it, then what are you doing about it? How are you getting that closeness in your life, that physical touch, that connection that just makes all of us feel better?
