Hello, my beautiful friend, and welcome to the Mind Body Alignment podcast. I'm your host, Tessa Romero, and also your coach. I'm here to teach you powerful skills and tools to not only know who you are, but how to become exactly who you want to be with a mindset that finally supports you. I'm so grateful that you're here. Let's get started. Sometimes we all just need a little pep talk, and that is exactly what I'm going to give you today. So if you feel like your thoughts are in a tizzy and you're experiencing this whirlwind, and maybe it's getting difficult to tell which way is up in your feelings, feeling the weight of that, and your behaviors are completely outside of alignment with who you really want to be, let's pep talk it out, sister, because you have freaking got this. You've got this. You have. And you have overcome absolutely everything you have ever been through. Tell me the hardest thing you've ever been through. Really take a minute to think about those times that you. You thought you wouldn't make it through those hardest parts of your life, the most painful things you've been through. The times that you were completely caught off guard by the way someone was treating you, whatever was going on, that felt unbearable, that felt difficult, that felt challenging, that felt hard. And yet you overcame it. You have a proven track record to overcome 100% of the things that you are given. That's why you're here today. And guess what? Today will be the same. Today will be the same because you are greater than absolutely anything. You're given any circumstance, you're given any thought that you have, any feeling you experience, any behavior that's outside of alignment with who you want to be, you're greater than it. And you have this conscious self inside of you that can decide, I'm ready to change. I'm ready to try again. I know I can do that better. I'm here for it. I'm really here for it. Like, you have the ability to have that conscious thought and voice within you, and it's such a gift when we choose to use it, that we're not just living life in default and on autopilot. And we aren't just the reaction of whatever is happening around us. You're a conscious being that gets to choose. You've overcome everything that you've ever been given. You're greater than any circumstance, any feeling, any thought, anything that you find yourself in. And you get to do these things. As much as we resist that sometimes that Truth that we get to do this and we fall into the. I have to. It all falls on me. There's nothing I can do. Like, as much as it feels comfortable to fall into that place, there is another place. And maybe sometimes you experience resistance going to that place of what you really get to do. And at that point, I would encourage you to have compassion for yourself. Like, I get it. This feels hard right now. I get it. Things are feeling unfair. I get it. This isn't what I anticipated it looking like. And remember, we're using. And. And I know I can do this, and I can put one foot in front of the other. And I give myself permission to try again, to do the best I can, to look at this a new way, or to call, phone a friend. Right? I give myself permission to do all of those things. And when you really look at your life and you think about all the things you get to do. Pardon me while I get real sappy over here. Friends. How much of your daily life are things that you once dreamed of doing? Having a home. Having a home that you can care for, maybe a wall that you can paint, belongings that you can declutter and limit and donate and resources that you can give generously. So many times our problems are really coming from our abundance, and we don't even realize it. Like, we have so much. We have so much that it becomes a source of problem. Isn't that crazy to think about that there's just so much in your life that it feels overwhelming. There's so many beautiful people to show up for that it feels overwhelming. There's this. There's beautiful home, this beautiful space for you to make your own and take care of that, it feels overwhelming. And when we change our perspective just a little bit that we don't have to show up for these people in our life. We don't have to take care of this space. We feel a little lighter. And when we're thinking that way and we're feeling that way, we do things in alignment with that version of us, with that way of thinking, that way of feeling. Because thoughts create feelings. Feelings lead to our actions. Our actions lead to our outcomes. They're connected. So I'm encouraging you to look at the home that you get to take care of. And how much of this was once just a dream. The family that you have, the children running at your feet and crawling up your leg. That's what Drew's doing for me right now is like, he's learning to pull himself up. So he is just, like, at my feet and pulling up my leg and whining for me at the bottom. And I look at his perspective. Like, gosh, that's gotta feel so hard to be that little and want something so badly. And it just seems so big. Like, wow, think about a baby's perspective at your feet. And they have this whole thing that they want so badly, and it's you, and you're like the mountain to climb. And you look up at the thing that you want so badly and it feels so hard because you feel so small against it. Do you ever see your baby giving up? No. Let's look at that. Perseverance. Okay? And you, you're gonna keep going, too. You're gonna keep going after what you want, even if it feels like a mountain in front of you, just like a baby feels when they're climbing up our lake. They're so little, and yet they know they deserve it. They know they're worthy. They know that it's safe to communicate what they want. And they're worthy of communicating what they want. That's why they'll cry in the middle of a grocery store. They don't care what other people are thinking. They want to communicate their needs. And we can do that, too. We can get back to seeing our worth and our value. And you can start doing that right now. Even when it feels uncomfortable. Speak it. This is how I'm feeling. This is what I'd like. This is what I need. This is what I'm going to try. And you can do that. So these are the things you really get to do each day. You get to cook. You get to prepare meals and snacks and go grocery shopping and have a budget that allows you to buy groceries and have an abundance of options of these groceries at the store. You get to seek out things to do with your kids, really, no matter the budget. Sit in the grass anywhere that's free. Right? Maybe you're fortunate enough to go on those trips that we say are just so stressful for us to pack and plan for, that we're missing how amazing it is to be able to go in the first place and how fortunate we are to be able to experience that and. And how fortunate our children are that they get to experience that. Isn't that interesting how the source of some of our stress is coming from our abundance and the wonderful things in our life because our mind is focused on the wrong things. Not because we shouldn't have good things in our life. We should have good things in our life. We do have good things in our Life. And it's our job to build a perspective and condition our mind to. To look for the good and to remain in gratitude for the good. And to keep the awe and amazement of all the things that we really get to do each day. From mopping the floors to cleaning up to cooking, to grocery shopping, to camping, to walking in the grass with your kids or going on that daily walk and maybe sometimes even going on a trip together. Having family to see. Gosh, you are so fortunate. I am so fortunate. And where our life is right now, there is something that you can learn right now that could be just so pivotal for you. One new perspective that could really feel like it changes everything. And those perspectives are in your control. So if you're just listening to this pep talk and you're a day, I need to do that. Well, come on, girlfriend. What's one area of your life that you'd like to bring a new perspective to? I'm not here to tell you what area of your life to focus on. Obviously, I love to talk about motherhood. My job as your coach is to let you decide what area to focus on. Maybe that area of focus is family relationships. It's your marriage, it's motherhood. It's your career, entrepreneurship, your health, your finances, your creativity. I mean, you could focus on it in any your friendships. Like, where do you want to put this focus? That's for you to decide. So right now, make that choice. Make that commitment to yourself. I'm focusing on this area of my life and bringing one new perspective to it. You don't need 180 new perspectives in order to make a shift. You just need one. One new perspective to make a pivotal shift. So what's the one new perspective you could bring to your marriage? You could bring to you? Motherhood, your friendships, your finances, your creativity. Decide right now what that one new perspective is and just let it be simple. How simple is the shift I get to do this. That's so simple compared to I have to. We're just shifting it to, I get to. I get to work on myself. I get to overcome these behaviors that no longer align with who I want to be. Right. You're greater than the circumstances. You're greater than the feelings. You're greater than those limiting perspectives. And you get to work on yourself. You have 100% proven track record of overcoming absolutely everything you've ever been given. And that's incredible. That's incredible. That's a wonderful place for you to start. And I want to encourage you that you're Doing this. You're showing up as a mother, as a wife, as a friend, in your job, in your relationships, for your health, for yourself. You're showing up this way because you care, because it's who you really are. You're not just going to walk away from it all. Can you. Can you walk away from your kids? Can you walk away from your marriage? Can you run away to a different country and start a new life? Sure, you could try. I mean, yes, you can. That is an option. Are you going to take it? No. I know you. You're not going to take that choice. It is a choice. You don't have to be here. You're here because you care. You take care of your home because you care about it. You keep showing up in your marriage and trying with all you can because you care. And it shows who you really are, that you are devoted and you are intentional and you are productive and. And compassionate and creative and soft and gentle and nurturing and bold and ambitious and courageous, and you're motivated and you're. You're a visionary. There's so many wonderful parts about you. And when we allow ourselves to see, like, wow, I don't do these things because I have to. I do them because it's just who I am. And that's a wonderful thing for you to claim, an incredible space for you to allow yourself to thrive in and step into fully and own that picture of, I'm here with purpose and I'm here with intention, and I freaking show up here because I want to. I get to. I can do this. And I'm telling you, my friend, if you give yourself a little pep talk like that more often, you're going to start feeling lighter and your behaviors will start to align with this version of you that you want to be. It's worth it to continue conditioning your mindset to serve you. There's going to be a lot of loud influences out there that don't align with the type of mentality you want to have. And guess what? You have some power in that, too. Of what you're willing to take in, what you're willing to listen to, what you're willing to make room for in your life, the conversations you're willing to entertain, the content you're willing to consume, and you're willing to take action to make sure that the influences in your life are very intentionally filtered through so that they are serving you. That's amazing. That's amazing. And it is in your control. That's in your power. So take this pep Talk and run with it. Make the one shift in perspective in one area of your life you want to focus on. That's for you to decide. And the shift in perspective comes from noticing just one thought that's not serving you in that area. Motherhood, marriage, finances, creativity, relationships, your faith, your health. What's one thought you have in those areas that's just not serving you? Take that one thought and just shift it one degree, one degree to the right. You don't need a whole 180 flip, you just need one degree shift. And it can bring monumental change. A real pivotal moment for you in your life because you just were willing to view it differently. And I promise you, my sweet friend, I promise you there is always a new perspective to consider. There's always another perspective. You've got this. You totally have this in the bag. And all you need is for you to show up. You're not waiting on anybody else and you're so fortunate for that. I'm grateful that you have the life that you have and you're willing and able to learn the lessons that you need to fully, fully become who you want to be. Let's live life with gratitude and appreciation and realize that we're doing the things that we're doing because of who we are. And it's a beautiful thing to be so kind and compassionate and caring and courageous and bold and gentle and nurturing and thoughtful. It's a beautiful thing to be that person. And you are truly enlightening others lives by being that person. And I'm really proud of you. Thank you for joining us, joining me on this week's episode.
