Reading The Most Unhinged Reddit Threads I Can Find

In this solo YouTube episode, self‑styled “spicy coach” Angel Ardito records himself in a cramped hotel room and reads a series of Reddit posts that detail extreme relationship problems. He narrates each story, adds his own reactions, and offers blunt advice. The posts cover a wide range of red‑flag behaviors: a husband suspecting his wife of drugging his coffee, a wife spending late‑night drinking sessions with a male neighbor after a past infidelity, a boyfriend obsessively confronting an ex’s friends after her wedding, a young woman overwhelmed by a dependent boyfriend who lives with her, a long‑term couple where the boyfriend declares he doesn’t love his partner during an argument, and a woman who calls police on an abusive, substance‑abusing husband whose aggression escalated after testosterone use. Angel intersperses each reading with personal commentary, often emphasizing the seriousness of the red flags, urging listeners to set boundaries, and sometimes expressing empathy or disbelief. He concludes by thanking viewers, encouraging subscriptions, and signing off with his “stay spicy” catch‑phrase.

Hello and welcome back to my channel, you nasties. If you're new here, my name is Angel Ardito and I'm your online spicy coach. I like to talk about all things regarding sex and relationships, so if you're here for those conversations, feel free to give me a follow or subscribe. And if not, that's okay as well. I just appreciate you for being here and for clicking on this video today. And before we jump into it, I'm just gonna let you know that I'm gonna be shifting around a lot. I'm still living in a hotel and sitting in the middle of the bed. This is kind of the only place that I can record as of right now, and it's really not that comfortable for my lower back, but I'm doing the best that I can. So if you see me shifting around quite a bit, um, that's why. Okay, so if you've been here before, you know what the deal is, and if you haven't been here before, I'm gonna read some Reddit threads. Basically, I'm just gonna go on Reddit and I'm gonna scroll and I'm gonna read to you guys what I see. All right, number 1: Am I overreacting for asking my wife to stay at her mom's after I caught her putting something odd in my coffee? I, 46, 36, male. I'm really shaken and need advice to know if I went too far. My wife, 49, female, and I have been married for 4 years, together for 7. She's always been so kind, making my morning coffee, and we've had a good life together. For the past few weeks, I've been feeling off after drinking my coffee— dizzy, nauseous, sometimes my hands shake. I thought maybe it's work or stress or something I ate, but 2 days ago I came home early and saw my wife in the kitchen dropping some kind of powder into my coffee mug from a small unmarked vial. It wasn't sugar or creamer, It looked strange, like medicine or worse. When she saw me, she slipped the vial into her pocket and said it was just a new coffee mix, but her voice was shaking. She wouldn't look at me. Oh my God. That evening, I asked her to calmly tell me what it was. She said it was a natural supplement to help me feel better, but she couldn't say what it was or why there was no label. Dude, this is horrible. This is awful. Those symptoms I've been having aren't normal, and she's never hidden things before. I told her I needed space to think. And asked her to stay at her mom's for a few days. She got upset, started crying, and said I was overreacting and breaking her trust. She left last night, and now she's texting me saying it was nothing harmful and I'm making a big deal out of nothing. I kept the vial, but I'm too nervous to test it. Test it, test it, test it, because she's— I— okay, I don't want to jump to conclusions, but also, she's probably drugging you, dude. I'll just— I gotta continue. I love her, she's my everything, but I'm scared she might be putting something bad in my coffee. Am I overreacting for asking her to leave? Please Please tell me if I'm wrong here. You're not wrong, dude. You're not wrong. And, and I would be paranoid too if she's been making your coffee all these mornings and you're starting to get sick and you come home early and she's putting some random ass powder in your coffee and can't tell you what it is and it's in an unmarked vial. And oh, this one has an update. It says, thank you all for your response. I called 911 and they said they'll look into it. I'm feeling worse each day, dizzy, weak, and my stomach's off. So I'm heading to the hospital to get checked out. My wife keeps texting, begging me to come back and saying it was just an herbal energy boost, but she still can't explain why she was hiding it. I told her to stay at her mom's until I know more. I'm scared and exhausted. Update, update! There's another update. Hey everyone, I'm at the hospital. Sorry for not keeping you guys updated. I'm not feeling well. Thanks for your comments. The doctors ran some tests and said there's something off in my blood work, but they don't know what. They're sending samples to a lab and it'll take a couple days to get results. They told me to stay here for observation because of my symptoms, so it's getting worse very quick. I gave the vial to the police when they stopped by and testing it. My wife keeps calling, texting, and sobbing, saying she's sorry and it was just an herbal remedy from a friend to help me, but she's still dodging my questions and it's making my head spin. I told her we can't talk until I'm out of here and know what's going on. I'll keep you guys updated. And there's no updates after that. Oh, that is so sad. I don't even have anything to say about that. I'm— you never really truly know who you're with, I guess, because that's like— I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around that. And I really hope for this poster's sake that it— that his wife wasn't poisoning him. But honestly, that's kind of what it looks like to me. So, all right, I don't know what to do. Let's just keep going. Am I overreacting for being upset that my 34 male wife, 32 female, hangs out drinking with our neighbor, 38 male, until 4 a.m.? I'm going to take a shot in the dark here and say no, probably not overreacting. I don't drink and I usually go to bed around 10 p.m., but once a week my wife stays up with our neighbor until 4 a.m. drinking whiskey and beer. To me, it feels inappropriate, like a boundary that shouldn't be crossed. Part of why this bothers me is my history with her. About 8 years ago, she cheated. Brother, she's already cheated on you once, and now she wants to have some weird-ass drinking date night till 4 in the morning once a week with your neighbor. I don't know what else to say. Like, connect the dots. Though we worked through it and things have been good since. I, I would, I would disagree with that. If she's going and drinking with your neighbor until 4 AM once a week, I would disagree with things have been good. This all started when the new neighbors moved in last year. At first it was a couple, but they divorced and the wife moved away. Since then, the husband has been leaning on my wife for emotional support. That's not okay, dude. That is not okay. And the fact that your wife is going out of her way— well, I just— okay, I'm gonna keep reading, but I'm already frustrated. I'm frustrated for you. Maybe I'm overreacting too, who knows. He's not a bad guy and comes over to use my home gym sometimes, and I know my wife likes to drink and de-stress that way, and I hate to take that from her, but it seems odd to me. From my perspective, perspective, it's strange for her to be that close with him, especially late at night and with alcohol involved. Given her past and the situation, I feel uneasy and can't help but think I have a reason to be. Am I overreacting for being upset about this? No, I would be reacting the same exact way. And okay, maybe this is just a fellow overreactor, but I feel like when you're in a monogamous relationship with someone, there are certain boundaries that you need to hold in order to keep the integrity in your relationship. Like, just for the safety of you and especially with her having been someone who cheated in the past. Like, I know a lot of people say once a cheater, always a cheater, and I actually don't agree with that. I, I don't always agree with that. I do believe that people can change. I just don't think that they can really change without implementing some kind of safeguards in their relationship. And one of those things is not hanging out alone late at night drinking with your male neighbor that you could feasibly at some point be or become attracted to. I don't feel like I would ever allow myself to do that in my monogamous relationship because it would just be, one, kind of disrespectful to my partner, but also, two, I don't want to put myself in a situation where I am giving myself the opportunity to have an emotional affair or a physical affair. I'm not going to do that. I'm just not going to do it. So no, you're not overreacting. And honestly, I would not be surprised if she was already having an emotional and a physical affair. I mean, the woman is going to your neighbor's house until 4 in the morning. Once a week, 4 in the morning. Like, why does she have to be out until 4 in the morning? It doesn't even make sense. My money's on that she's already cheating on you. I would check that out ASAP. ASAP. All right, next one. My boyfriend's ex got married and he's acting weird. What would you do in my place? Me, 32, female, and my boyfriend, 37, male, have been dating for a year and are living together for 9 months. He was single for 5 years and dated his ex for 7 years before that. She broke up with him after he got really sick and had to spend months in and out of the hospital. She got married 3 days ago. Some common acquaintances that went to her wedding are in town, and he says he wants to see them. I didn't bat an eye to this because exes have common friends until he told me he's seeing them with the possibility of confronting them about how they interfered in his previous relationship. He said they told his ex to dump him when he got sick, and he might confront them about that. He explained that when they broke up, he asked her to be single for a few months to clear her head, sort issues out, and break free from her parents in order to get a better life because her parents hated him. I asked if he told her that expecting reconciliation. He didn't give me a clear answer. 'Now, 3 days after her wedding, he wants to meet these people and tell them that they did him dirty by telling her to dump him and then setting her up right after with her now husband. I don't understand why he would need to confront these people, and more so after all this time and 3 days after her wedding. I smell anger that she married and unresolved grief. I would never meet any friends of an ex to settle why they played matchmaking. I just don't care who they date and what they do or what was said about me, especially from anyone I dated 5 years ago.' I mean, yeah, there's definitely unresolved frustrations there. It seems weird after 5 years of not being with that person to still be so angered and frustrated. If these were people that he was really, really good friends with at the time, it could make sense that he still has unresolved anger toward them. And maybe it doesn't really have anything to do with the fact that his ex just got married, but maybe it has to do more with the fact that these were his friends too. And they kind of— he feels at least like they betrayed him. But he could also be feeling a lot of anger because his ex got married and not necessarily jealousy that he's not the one that she's marrying. But more so just that feeling of like he's not keeping up, like she's progressing faster than he is. And that can maybe be uncomfortable for some people. Ultimately, I feel like this is something that you just have to talk to your partner about. And I do agree, I think that it's weird that he wants to confront these people after all of these years, but if that's what he feels like he needs, you can't really tell him not to feel that way. You can't really— but if that's what he feels like he needs, you can't really tell him not to feel that way. All right, next up: My 22 female boyfriend, 23 male, doesn't seem to respect my boundaries? How do I have this conversation in a polite way? Been seeing him for a few months after recently getting out of a long-term relationship, and it's just becoming clear he's either unaware that I mean what I say or he doesn't care. Girl, he's a very sweet guy and I have no real complaints about him personally, but I feel like the boundaries I set don't stick. He recently did something stupid and I told him we'd be seeing each other less from that point forward out of respect for myself. I typically see him every single day, which is exhausting. He spends the night every night and he's in an unfortunate situation with his vehicle, so I've been his mode of transportation. When he's here. So he's spending every single night with you, you're transporting him everywhere, and then you tell him, eh, it's a little bit much for me, I don't want to see you every single day. Which already, if you don't want to see him every day right in the beginning, within the first few months, it's probably not going to work out between you guys. Like, when you like someone, you should be like a teeny weeny bit obsessed with them. But I'll continue reading. So I wake up before the sun comes up to take him to work. I drive to go get us food. I pick him up when we see each other. I drive us everywhere. You're doing too much. You're doing the most. You're doing the most, and for what? For someone who respect your boundaries, he's mooching off of you. He's using you to get housing and transportation and food and sex and whatever else it might be while he doesn't have to respect your boundaries at all. And you'll still be there right beside him. Now, for context, I don't think I need context, but here we go. I'm a college student and I work, so I'm extremely busy. I go to lectures at 9 a.m. until the afternoon, and I don't typically get home until 10 p.m. from work. I'm up until 2 or 3 in the morning doing schoolwork. To put it simply, I'm exhausted. So for about a week, he didn't stay the the night anymore, and if we saw each other, it was only for a few hours. He said he completely understood and was aware that he deserved it. I let him spend the night again recently, and from that point, he just assumes that he'll be coming over and sleeping here. I think I'm mostly frustrated because I'm at a point in my life where I don't want to be sharing my bed and space every night. I have no alone time anymore. His stuff is everywhere in my room, his clothes are in my closet. I'm just so overwhelmed with what I feel like I'm sacrificing just so I don't hurt his feelings. Hurt his feelings? Dude, you're not— you're not doing anyone any good by just allowing to continue to move into your life and suck the life out of you. You're busy. Just dump him and get it over with. This is not the person for you. I do like him and enjoy his time. I just enjoy it more when I've had the time to miss him, if that makes sense. How can I approach this? You approach it head on. You approach it by telling him exactly. Matter of fact, pull this out. Pull this post out that you made and read it to him word for word. Tell him how you feel and see how he reacts. This, these, this is getting me worked up more than anything that I've read today. I just can't believe that you're driving his ass around and you're letting him stay at your place, fill up your closet with all of his shit, and you don't even feel comfortable enough to tell him that it's too much for you. Like, that's concerning. Approach it head-on, read to him what you just submitted, and move on with your life, because you guys are not for each other. I'm telling you that right now. My 34 male boyfriend just told me, 33 female, during an argument that he doesn't like me and that's the reason he hasn't asked me to marry him. He apologized 5 minutes later. It's been a few days since this argument, and I guess my mind keeps going back to it. Me and my boyfriend have been dating for 10 years and living together for 9, and everyone and their mother has always asked us when we're getting married. Yeah, because, okay, 10 years. After 10 years, he's telling you that he doesn't want to marry you, and, and then he apologizes, and you want to just believe that he's sorry? I can't. I can't with you guys. The argument was about me letting his mother borrow money, and somehow it ended up in, I don't like you, that's why I haven't married you. After that, I completely shut down, and I told him I do not want to talk anymore. I was done. Well, it took him around 5 minutes to come back apologize and say he was very upset and he wanted to apologize for what he said. But my sick mind was waiting for the 'I didn't mean it,' and he never said it. Yeah, because he meant it. He's been with you for 10 years and he hasn't asked you to marry him, so obviously he doesn't want to marry you. When a man wants something, he's going to find a way to make it happen. It does not take 10 years to know if you're going to marry someone. And he just let it slip. He let how he really felt slip out in conversation with you. You believe him. Pack your shit and get out. Especially if you want to get married one day, this is not the guy for you. That would piss me off so much. Take that anger, use it to ball up all of your clothes, toss them into a suitcase, and get the fuck out of there. That is the best advice that I could give you right now. Scrolling, scrolling, scrolling, scrolling, scrolling, scrolling. What is that song from? I don't know. Oh, all right, here's one. I, 35, female, had to call the police on my husband, 40, male. I called the police on my husband after he smashed picture frames, ripped a door off its hinges, and chucked my phone as I was trying to call for help, and in front of my almost 2-year-old. We've been married for 5 years. My husband struggles with substance abuse, and I've had to call the police for him pushing me before. I've had to Narcan him back to breathing. We also lost our roommate to an overdose right before he left for rehab. He went to rehab for his used while I moved out and got a new house where drugs were not allowed. I took him back after he completed his 30 days with the boundaries that he never use again. 30 days is nothing. 30 days is not enough. No one changes in 30 days. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Like, I know that when you're going through it with someone who has addictions, it is so hard because you just have this picture in your mind of who they are, who they could be, and you really hold on to that and you grasp onto it. But 30 days is not enough, my dude. This July, he started becoming violent after starting testosterone. Testosterone. The violence started on vacation with his family where he threw patio chairs off the balcony of our Airbnb. He scared his niece off and his family, but they always just excuse the behavior. There were 3 more incidents along the same lines, last one telling me he would break my neck. Get out! That's horrifying. And then tonight I've been begging him to stop the testosterone, go back to his group for therapy, and all in all start treating me and his son better. He always just puts the blame back on me, telling me I'm hard to deal with. I'm a stay-at-home mom with a son, so I started exploring options with my therapist about what comes next if this becomes unbearable. It already is unbearable. This should already be unbearable. You have a 2-year-old son who's watching his father belligerently fly into rages and throw shit and break shit and threaten you that he's gonna break your neck in front of your 2-year-old son. Your son is not too young to be absorbing this. He's absorbing it emotionally, physically, spiritually. He's absorbing it. It should already be unbearable. This is past the line. This is so far past the line. I told him I had a consultation this coming week after he went off on me again, and that's when he absolutely lost it. I called the police. I never wanted it to get this far, but I can't let him do this in front of my son. Did I do the right thing? Yes, you did the right thing. His mom keeps calling me, telling me I'm crazy and her poor son. What this is— this is the issue with boy moms, too, is that they never want to hold their son accountable. They never want to hold their sons accountable. Your son is literally threatening to kill a woman in front of his son. Like, I don't under— I don't understand this as a parent. If my son was ever doing any of that shit, there is no way in hell that I would just call the wife and be like, you're crazy. He has struggles. Yeah, no shit, he has struggles, but he's an adult man and he needs to work through it. He needs to figure that out. Yes, you did the right thing by calling the police and you're going to hopefully do the next right thing by leaving and getting the hell out of there and taking your son with you. This is not a safe environment for anyone involved. God, I am so sorry for some of the things that some people go through. Like, this is— it's just no joke. It's no joke. Substance abuse is no joke. Testosterone is no joke. And violence and children and family, like, it's all— it's all here, and it's so sad. And I'm really sorry for what you're going through. Unfortunately, that is all that I have in me for today. That one— that one is gonna sit with me for the rest of the day. But if you're still here and you're still watching, I really, really appreciate you being here. And if like my content, I really hope that you'll subscribe or at least drop a comment and tell me what you thought about it. But until next time, stay spicy!
