An instructor shows how to modify a couples yoga pose that hurts your knees. Place your hands on your partner's chest, shoulders, or hips to lean forward and shift weight to your toes. If that's still too much, drop one knee to the ground.

Welcome back to another couples yoga session video. I'm going to be addressing this comment here. It's my understanding that you want to be doing this couples yoga position right here. If you are doing this couples yoga position, something that's going to be really important for you to take some of that stress off of your knees is that you can take your hands and place them on your yoga partner's chest or on the outside of your yoga partner's shoulders or hips, wherever you can place them that will allow you to lean forward. Once you lean forward, you're going to be a little bit more on your toes. If you can handle that, Great. If you can't handle that, take one knee down to the ground, and you can be here with one knee up, one knee down, and this may be a little more doable for you and your yoga partner. I hope that that helps. But if at the end of the day you're unable to do this one yoga position because of your hypermobility, it's really not the end of the world. I'm a firm believer that not every single yoga position is for every single body. We're all different, we all have different capabilities, and our bodies all move in different ways. There is no shame in that. So if you want to give this a try, do it. If you don't, then don't, and that's okay as well. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments below and I'll get to them as quickly as possible. And until next time, stay spicy.
