Welcome to the Soul of Innovation podcast. I am Thomas Anglero, recording from a beautiful forest here in Norway with a running stream. Growing up, you know, it was always my dream to be able to get up and go for a walk in the forest. And growing up in New York City, what forest do you have? You have the concrete forest, but You don't have a forest like this. You have running water, a stream. It's just a dream. So let me ask you a question. What's your dream? What was that thought you had of yourself when you were a kid and you woke up? Where did you see yourself? Got that thought? Let me ask you a question again. Why aren't you there now? I am not saying that I'm better than you because I'm at a stream like I envisioned a long time ago. All I'm saying is that I got up this morning and I said, I'm gonna go for a walk in the woods until I find a spot that reminds me, that resembles that amazing place that I saw when I was a kid. And I said, someday I want to be in a forest. Someday I want to be out and enjoy beautiful streams. And here I am. But this is not the place. This is one of the places. What dream do you have that you need to fulfill? What version of you do you exist in today that you're not happy with? And you know you have to get to your dream. You have to get to you. How do you get there? You get there by taking in this moment. You get there by being able to feel the clothes on your back. You get there by saying, I am in the now. Do not think about the past. Do not think about the future. Think about the now. Where are you? How do I feel? What do I smell? What do I taste? Be in the now. And when you're in the now, when you are— you distract— not distract, you eliminate, you delete everyone and everything in your life, and you are just you and your environment, these trees, the leaves, the pebbles, the rocks, then you have a chance to spend time with you. Then you have a chance to be you. Then you have a chance to say This is who I want to be now. Go forth and spread beauty and light. Be in the now, right now. It's not scary. Let me be honest, it actually is scary because when you're in the now, like I am now, I say to myself, what is the thing that I want to do most? And that is to talk to you, to record this video, and to share this moment that I have that I feel that I'm so connected to everything. And that feels vulnerable, it feels strange, but I know that is a form of love, so I do it. And that comes out naturally Because I'm in the now. So therefore it's perfect. Be in your now, right now. And then everything feels perfect. It'll feel weird, it'll feel strange, because we spend so much time thinking about what he said, she said, what to do, bills to pay. School, classes, training. Oh, but we in the now. Look, where else do I want to be but right here, right now? You could be sitting on the sofa and it could be the most amazing moment in your life. You could be on a bus holding on. It could be the most amazing moment of your life as long as you are in the now, in your head, in your mind. You're so happy with you. Yes, there might be frustrating thoughts. Yes, you might have not enough money. Yes, you may have too much money. You may have all the creature comforts. You may have all the cars and all the boats, but you're still feel unhappy. You center yourself in the now. Love is for everyone, not just for the poor, not just for the rich. It's for you. Go forth and spread beauty and light, and do that by being in the now. When I was coming here for this walk, as I was going on this walk, I passed by so many people and I said hi or whatever, and so many people didn't make any eye contact whatsoever. And I thought, wow, they chose this moment to be in their own world. Even when I said hi, it was just like negative. They destroyed their now, they destroyed their moment, they destroyed their day when someone was willing to give them love. I was willing to give them love, I was willing to share a moment. Let's have a moment. And they just grunted away or didn't look or I had one man laugh in my face. I don't understand what that was about. Look at the choice they made about their now. What do you do with your now? What are you doing right now? Spend time with you. Spend time feeling, thinking, and then planning you tomorrow and the next day. There's always a better day. There's always a better you. There's always that amazing you that's right around the corner. I'm Thomas Anglero. From the bottom of my heart, I love you and I believe in you. You. Believe in yourself as much as I truly, truly, truly, truly believe in you. Until next time.
