Welcome to the Soul of Innovation podcast. I am Thomas Anglero, and I want to ask you a question. Do you feel that there's something holding you back from being the person you're meant to be? Do you wonder why the world no longer reacts to you the way it always worked? The answer is that version of you has to die. It's no longer working for you. That version of you that everyone thought was cute, or everyone reacted to, that version of you that got you to the job or the club or the position or on the team or whatever that once worked doesn't work anymore. That version of you that kept you slim in weight or healthy doesn't work. That version of you that was popular doesn't work. It's your fault, but it's only— here's the good news— is a welcoming of the new you. I went through the same thing many years ago. And it was one frustrating as hell. I mean, frustrating to realize that everything was my fault and that I had to completely change who I was. And I had never heard this before, and I just did it because I realized there's too many years I spent, years being frustrated with myself, years I lost pushing my old thoughts, my old agenda, my old perspective. Because I said, it's always worked for me. And I killed it. And I swear to you, the very next day I felt lighter, and I felt like— and literally things started happening. I think the best way to describe it is, do you remember the version of you in high school? Would that work in your adult world? It doesn't. Adults like being with adults. But if you're an adult, you may have to kill that adult to become the wise adult. Go forth and spread beauty and light. From this moment on, you're not allowed— this is what you should say to yourself— you're not allowed to think anything that you thought before, because that does no longer work for you. Think of yourself like an eggshell, and it's breaking open, and out is coming that new version of you. You don't know what that is, but the old version you do does not work anymore. Give birth to the you that we've been waiting for. I don't know what it is. I don't know what the new version of me is, but I know what I have done is holding me back, and I don't want anything to hold me back. So when I say go forth and spread beauty and light, go forth and see the new light, see the new beauty in the world. Stop wearing blue if you always wear blue. Now wear black or red or green. Stop talking to the old friends that you had. Those friends are holding you back. They're the same people you had around you for years. Yeah, you can have lifelong friends, that's good to go, but what about your new friends? What about the people who make you see and believe and think and taste and smell different things? That is who you are meant to be with now. Who you are meant to be with Now is someone new, including yourself. It's not about getting a new boyfriend or girlfriend or husband or wife. It's about throwing away the old you. Don't blame anybody else but yourself. I'm Thomas Anglero. I'm going through this journey myself with you. As well. Let's kill the old us and welcome the new me. I love you. Until next time.
