Welcome to the Soul of Innovation podcast. I am Thomas Anglero, and I want to share with you a very powerful way of changing your mood. The way— quickest way I know to get yourself out of your own head, to stop you from feeling sorry for yourself, your situation, the victim mentality, and we all suffer from it. Sometimes you wake up in the morning, you feel sorry for yourself, you think about your situation, or sometimes during the day something happens. But here is the quickest way to get out of it. I want you to think about— think about someone that you love. Who've passed on, someone who's no longer with you, who's died. This morning I woke up and I had strange thoughts in my head, and then I saw a picture of my father-in-law who recently passed away, and instantly I thought, There's nothing worse. Absolutely nothing worse than the sorrow that's going through the entire family that the absolute foundation stone of the family is no longer around. We celebrated our first Christmas without him, and that was so— just did not feel right. All the moments, all the laughter, all the placements, sitting at the table, talking, there was always a voice missing. There was always a presence missing. The first year of going through— after you've lost someone you love, the adjustment you make because that person is no longer there, it is horrible. When you feel sorry for yourself or down, or you feel that this life isn't going the right way, Think about that person that you love so much who's no longer with you. That'll set your mind in the right place. You'll no longer feel sorry for yourself. You no longer feel down. You feel like you have all the opportunities in the world ahead of you. Nothing can stop you. Think about people who you know today that are sick. Who have been diagnosed with something that is horrible. Again, you'll feel blessed and lucky and you'll be ashamed that you'll even think that you have such a negative life or negative thoughts or something. Do you know how lucky you are? Do you know how lucky you are to wake up every single morning and have another chance to have another great day, to have another day of new experiences that you've never experienced before? Conversations with people you've never met before. Enlightenment, laughter, smiles. You know how lucky you are. Do you know how lucky you are? Go forth and spread beauty, your beauty and your light. There's no reason to be down. The blessed gift that you've been given is this opportunity now to do whatever you want to do, to say whatever you want to say, to experience whatever you want to experience, to breathe, to touch, to smell. Don't take all these beautiful things for granted. Because if one of our senses are taken away from us, then you're in a situation. But don't take for granted the fact that you could taste something, the fact that you could feel something, the fact that you could see something. The person who you loved who's no longer with you, they cannot do those things. Anymore. You can. You have every opportunity right now to experience life, to create a whole new life for yourself if you want to, to further enrich the life that you have now. But you're not a victim. Don't feel sorry for yourself. Be excited. That the world is yours and all 8 billion people on the planet are here and you can interact with them. It's like one big party on this planet waiting for you to join it. So do that. Pick your head up. Smile. See the world for this beautiful, adventurous sunrise with an ocean breeze and birds flying, animals eating grass behind you. With all the opportunities and harmony of the universe with you. That is where you exist, and that is the life you've been given. Welcome to your new world. I'm Thomas Anglero, sharing with you an epiphany I have that I want to share to make sure that we, we both get the most out of every moment of our lives. I love you. Until next time.
