Welcome to the Soul of Innovation podcast. I am Thomas Anglero. And do you ever focus on your dreams? In your dreams, do you ever realize that you're dreaming? And if not, when you're dreaming, who are you? Who are you in your dream? Are you the hero? Are you the victim? Who are you in your dream? Or you're just an observer? You're just observing as the whole thing goes on like a play and sort of like watching Netflix or sitting on your sofa watching TV? Who are you in your dream? This is significant. This is really important. I had a dream last night, and in that dream last night, I realized I was actually dreaming. And I I was at a presentation, I was at a meeting, a meeting with less than 10 people, and there was a woman presenting before me to the group of 10. She did a good job, fine. Then it was my turn, and as I started to talk, the woman who presented before me interrupted me. So I was polite and I was quiet, and I realized I knew I was in a dream. So then I let her finish interrupting me and I continued with my presentation and she interrupted me again. So then I said to her, "May I please continue, please? I'd like to go on my presentation." She then said, "No, I don't like the fact that you get so much attention for your presentations. Everybody thinks you're so good. I should get as much presentation, if not more and more recognition than you do." So she purposely interrupted my presentation to not allow me to talk. Now I realized that I was dreaming. I've said this several times, and I said to myself, the way I behave in my dream is a test for the way I will behave in reality. I'll say it again. The way You behave in your dream is a test for the way you behave in reality. When you dream, do you realize you dream? Or forget that question. When you dream, who the hell are you? How do you behave in your dreams? It shows a lot about you. Are you just watching the dream? That says a lot about you. Are you a victim in your dream? Are you the person who's being chased? Are you the person who's being victimized and you wake up in a nightmare? Or are you the hero? Are you the person who jumps into the fire? Are you the person who saves the baby that's crying, who's all alone in a park? Who are you in your dreams? And that tells you a lot about who you are when you open your eyes and you live life with the rest of us. I want to set a goal for you. When you go to bed tonight and you dream, try really hard. You don't have to say, "Oh, I'm dreaming now," but while you're in that dream, I want you to behave I want you to be that ultimate person you're supposed to be. Do you know how hard that is? Because in a dream, you sort of let things go, and that's reflective of your life, isn't it? You just sort of let things go. They frustrate you and everything. You're not really in control. Things are just going all over the place. Take control of it in your dream. That's sort of like your free practice time. It's your free time to get in a couple extra shots, free time to get a couple extra kicks, free time to go for another run. Your dream is your time where you perfect you, where you actually practice the things that, you know what, I need to get better at this. Let me do that in my dream. Let me behave like that in my dream. Let me attend the meeting of people who are experts like that in my dream. Do you understand what I'm saying? Dreams are created so that you can be a better you. So they're you. You got to go into that dream and you got to manipulate it. You got to take control of that dream. It's you. Who's dreaming? What are you intimidated of? What are you scared of? You're not scared of yourself. When you open your eyes and you're conscious, you're going, I'm not scared of me. That's kind of a stupid thought. But when you close your eyes, oh my God, I'm scared of this. I'm scared of that. These are all the things that you created and you put in your dream to scare you. So you're scaring you. Do you get it? Your dreams are a test bed. I don't know if you're a nerd. Your dreams are a beta test. Your dreams are your warm-up area for life. I want you to go into your dreams and manipulate it, transform it into what you want to transform it into. Don't let it just happen. Don't just experience it, but to partake in it, manipulate it, form it. Do you understand? This is a big deal. When I woke up in the morning, I thought to myself, why did I have this dream? And then I thought, even the more deeper question, I was very proud of myself that I didn't go over there and inflict some damage on that woman. Now, I'm not saying I'm a violent person, but this is one of the alternatives. And that's the thing, in your dream, what alternatives do you have? You know what alternatives you have. Now, let me ask you this, because if you know you're dreaming and you know there's no repercussions because there is no rule of law, right, in your dream, do you actually— if you're me and the woman's interrupting you, you just like take her, lift her up, or do something? I don't know. Or do you just, I don't know. What do you do? It'll say a lot about you. I woke up and I reflected and I said, you know what, I'm proud of my behavior in that dream. I never lost my temper. I never started yelling. And a lot of you might be going, well, I would never do that in reality anyway. But in a dream is different. You can get away with whatever you want. Ah, there it is. That was the test. If you could get away with everything, anything you want, no repercussions, and you won't go to jail, nobody will know, you're going to be completely innocent. Nobody's gonna see you. What would you do? That says a lot about who you are in reality, because in reality, if there were no repercussions, nobody would see you, no, you would never go to jail, you could get away completely, would you take the money? Would you have relations with that person that you really want to have relations with, but you know you can't? The way you see yourself in a dream, the way you think about yourself in a dream, and what you do in a dream reflects about a lot of who you are. And you have a lot of reflecting to do. But if you want to be that ultimate version of you, then you control your dream. You be active in your dream. Stop watching it like you're watching a damn movie. Be a part of it. Talk to the people in it. I was talking. I was presenting. I even remember I tried to present in Norwegian in my dream. How about that one? You are your dream. Use it. Use that time you sleep, not just to restore your body, regenerate the cells, repair the tissues, all the things your body does physically while you sleep. But mentally, and more importantly, spiritually, heal thyself. Don't just lay there. Get the pun? I love you. Go forth, spread beauty and light unto Thyself. While dreaming.
