Welcome to the Soul of Innovation podcast. I am Thomas Anglero, and I'm looking out at the news and I'm at the world, and things are really not going very well. People are losing their jobs. The newspaper's not reporting on it. People losing their confidence in the government. If this is you, you need an inspiration to get you to get things going. You got to stop looking at your mobile phone, stop reading the damn newspaper, and start doing. And here's what I want you to do. What I want you to do is I want you to start using all of this generative AI, this ChatGPT, Claude, uh, Facebook has something called Meta, Twitter has something called Grok, or it's called X. I want you— I don't care which one you use, I want you to start using it. And when I say what I want you to use, this is what you're going to do. They're free to use. Do not be intimidated. When the window— when the box opens up on the screen, once you register with your email, you don't need a password, it's all free, doesn't cost anything. I want you to ask it the question that you have in your mind. Do not think about it in technology. Think about it like an old friend. Think about it as a neighbor. Think about it as a cousin or pen pal if you're that old. What question would you ask them about the universe and your situation? What do you want to discuss to get off your your chest. And the AI would then, after digesting all the information on the internet and other private sources, it would actually give you some life advice. And then you have a— you answer and respond to what is said, just as if it's a person. And you will go back and forth in this conversation and you will realize that you were never alone. I am not saying AI can replace people. I'm saying that AI is a conversation starter for you, a conversation starter to get you motivated, to get you up and running, to get you to start thinking about things differently, to get you to start thinking, period, but also get you to start thinking about that there is more than this depression of listening to all the bad news that's happening around you. Matter of fact, the worst thing is if you feel that there's nothing happening. That's scary. That's probably the most scary scenario because everything is happening geopolitically. We have wars everywhere. We have racial riots. We have elections happening and people winning. Parties are winning that should have never won or haven't won in 30 or 50 years. And these political ideologies are coming back. And the world is changing. And if you think that nothing's going on, then you need a shock treatment. And that shock treatment is a conversation with yourself. And I've been using these AIs. I love Claude. I use ChatGPT, but I'm in— I just— my favorite is Claude. And I have a conversation about thoughts. I ask the questions about things as if I'm calling my, um, my great uncle Louie. I've never had an Uncle Louie, I'm just saying that's a cool name. I had a friend who was Louie and he always had something to say. So I'm calling my great uncle Louie, I say, hey Louie, I got a question for you. That's how I use Claude. And after a couple of minutes of going back and forth, I am so stimulated with new thinking Claude has given me so many different examples from different places, not just where I live but around the world, and I keep on digging and I keep on being more inspired. For me, spending 5-10 minutes with the generative AI, Claude in my example, or ChatGPT if you want to use that, is enough stimulation to get me going for a couple of days, to get me looking into things, to get me inspired. And also they get me to train some more because I realize that sitting on my butt, whether inside at a desk or outside at the beach, doesn't make sure that I'm gonna be around tomorrow or a week or a month from now. But training does, and eating right, and definitely sleeping. Matter of fact, have a conversation with Claude or ChatGPT about the importance of sleeping, eating, training, doing. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Start getting excited. To me, right now, this is such an insanely exciting time because it's like the dot-com days when this thing called the internet was new. All possibilities were possible, and it was just like you, you couldn't— what was the expression? If you threw a rock into the ocean, you know, You're guaranteed to hit water today no matter what you do, what question you ask, what conversation you have with yourself. When you have— when you use AI, is you're really having a conversation with yourself. No matter what conversation you have, a question you ask, you're going to get insight. You're going to find out new things about you, and you're going to get inspired. So do me a favor. Today is June of 2024. Start using AI to inspire you, to get you off your butt, to get you a new job, to get you a new friend, a new girlfriend, a new boyfriend, to get you a new hobby. Use AI to have a conversation with yourself. Go forth and spread beauty and light. Seriously, spread it all. Give it all with as much intensity and love as you possibly can. I am so excited. Even though you're in a tough situation, a difficult situation, I promise you, you're not alone. I'm Thomas Anglero. Until next time.
