Hello and welcome to the Soul of Innovation podcast.
I'm your host, Thomas Anglero. I'm excited because I've been traveling around Europe for the last couple of weeks, and I experienced a realization. Do you appreciate where you are right now. Where are you right now as you listen to my voice? Are you on a bus? Are you commuting in your car? Are you on a train? Do you appreciate the steering wheel that you're holding on to? Do you appreciate the amount of engineering that went into having the train that you're riding on? Do you appreciate the light bulbs and the light being provided? I'm not a weirdo. Here I'm going, here's where I'm going. Life is all about moments, and you can create a life moment right here, right now. I don't care where you are. It doesn't matter. It literally is, is free for you. I mean, so many of us want to have a life moment. So many of us say, I want to have— find the right person, or I want to travel to that magical island, or I want to go skiing, blah blah blah, all these things, you know. I want to have that fast car. And, and it's not about that. It's, it's, it's free. What you're looking for, and you can enjoy it right now. I want you right now, wherever you are, I want you to, to, to clear your mind other than listening to my voice. And I want you now to look around. Start to the left. Don't use— don't turn your head, just use your eyes and scan from the left to the right. As I do that now, I'm looking out my window And I see trees everywhere. The leaves are flowing with the wind, and there's so many beautiful trees and a blue sky and beautiful cotton-type clouds. What do you see? And most importantly, how do you see it? Do you see the shape of what you're looking at? Not just the tree, but the individual leaves? Do you see how things are flowing? Are there a group of kids in front of you? Do you see how they laugh together? Are you stuck in traffic? But you can see how everyone's beating to the same beat. No matter where you are right now, you could have a life moment. Life moments come from within us. Life moments come when we get out of the way of ourselves, of all the crap that we get from society. Where are you now? Are you in your home? Are you in your room? In your bedroom? Are you in your kitchen? Look around. If you're in your home, all the things in your home, each one has a memory. You bought this with someone, you found this someplace, you experienced this memory with someone. Do you see how emotionally powerful your life is? How everything has a meaning and how everything can bring joy to you. How this very moment that you're having these feelings of joy, it's free and it's yours. You can have this feeling, you can have this moment of bliss anytime you want. You literally could call it up at any time. You can guarantee yourself a smile. How cool is that? Anytime you want, you can make yourself smile. Not fake a smile, but you actually can make yourself smile by looking around and saying, where am I? How am I going to experience this? I was just thinking, boredom is a blessing, isn't it? When you're bored, isn't that another way of life saying, hey, let's have a life moment? Because the flip side of bored is your day's too busy, you don't have enough time to think, you have no time for yourself whatsoever. And that's when you're at that maximum busyness that you really are desperate for a life moment, aren't you? But then the flip side to that, the opposite of that, is boredom. And yes, so many times when you're bored— is it true for you? When you're bored, it's kind of frustrating, and yet boredom is exactly what you've been looking for, so that you go, yes, I have a moment for me. Yes, I could just imagine, daydream. I could look and experience these things that are just in front of me, and they could take me someplace. Let the mind wander. Daydreaming is powerful. Daydreaming is necessary. Appreciate where you are and then let your mind wander. Be that child again. Imagine yourself someplace. And then look around you and you're there. You're always there. And you can always take yourself back. You don't have to save up all that money or spend all that money. You don't have to travel. You're already there. Isn't that an amazing way for you to live your life from now on. I think, I think you're so lucky. I really do. You are where you've always dreamt of being right now. See it. Feel it. Embrace it. You have a wonderful life. This is Thomas Anglero, reflecting hard as always. Go forth and spread beauty and light. Love as many people as you can. And smile to everyone. That you walk by. Till the next time.
