Welcome to the Soul of Innovation podcast.
I am Thomas Anglero, and I want to talk about the reality that you're creating for yourself.
You control your reality. Are you aware that your boss makes a decision about you and your career? That's not controlling your reality. Someone breaks up with you, that's not controlling your reality. Someone hurts you, no. You control your reality. When you walk around, what do you think?
What do you feel?
Are you happy?
Are you upset? Are you negative? Are you not making any eye contact? Do you not greet people with good morning?
What reality have you created?
Be real with yourself.
What do you feel like? Are you grouchy in the morning? Are you grouchy when you go to work?
You don't want to go to work.
Who are you? What reality have you created for you? Don't blame anybody else. What reality have you created for you? Got it?
Very painful, heavy. Good. Welcome to human, human life.
All right. That's your reality because you put it there. This past holiday season, I flipped my reality. I was walking around New York City and going, I gotta be happier, let me be more focused and stuff like that, because all the people around me was so negative. They was so damn frustrated. I have never seen my fellow New Yorkers being so frustrated as they are now. Things are so bad financially. People working 2, 3 jobs. People are so unhappy. No eye contact, which is unheard of in New York City. It's all about eye contact.
And it wasn't really much this time because people have created a very negative reality.
So I turned it up. I said, nah, hell no, I'm old school New York. I got to talk to people. And I started talking to everybody. I was acting like the way I always feel like when I'm in New York. I see you, I'm going to talk to you, we exist together.
That reality, boom, it instantly changed. And I saw people go, oh, this is fun, oh, this is different. And then of course there were one or two people who said, no, I don't want a piece of that, I'm happy in my negative reality.
Or I'm unhappy in my negative reality.
And it reaffirmed in my mind, we create our own realities. If we're unhappy, it's our fault. If we're broke with no money, it's our fault. If we are not loved by a person that we want to give us love, it is our fault. If we aren't loved and nobody's around to love us, it is our fault. Everything is your fault. You control your own reality. You just flip it around. From this moment on, I am going to be this way. I'm going to feel this way. That's the most important thing. I'm going to feel this way. I'm going to love this way. This is who I am.
That's your reality. That's your reality. You are your reality.
You control your reality by what you feel about you. What you feel about you, not what you think about you.
Because we think too many things, thousands of things every single minute of the day. So thoughts are—
they have but so much weight.
But what you feel about you, that's it. How do you really feel about yourself? Now change that feeling to something so amazing and positive. I Example: I see myself as a CEO, as a leader. I'm an amazing leader. I'm a visionary. Boom, you're it. I see myself as a loving father. I see myself as a loving mother. I see myself as a loving wife, a loving husband. I see myself as somebody who laughs and surrounded by people who enjoy my company and I enjoy theirs. We find each other's jokes wonderful.
You hear me saying that right there? I'm like, oh yeah, I can feel it. It's wonderful. This light is like feeling like you're on a feather. It's so easy to feel that. Now you just go ahead and spend the rest of the day feeling that, and your vibration is vibing on that, and people feel that, and that's your reality, and that's who you are because you feel that way, not because you think that way.
What do you feel about you defines your reality. You define your reality. You create your reality. So recreate your reality by finding you, by saying, this is who I really want to be. This is the new year. This is a new year.
As I tell this podcast, we are in the new year.
Happy New Year, everyone. And in this new year, in this new you— every day is a new year if you look at it from that perspective— in this new you, who do you want to be? Who do you want to feel like? That vision of you, that person of you that you have in your mind— this is who I really am, I can feel that person, that's the type of person I want to Be.
That's it. Boom. You're it. Hold on to that. Hold on to that. And that's it. That feeling is what you repeat all day long. All day long, including in the shower. Powerful time when in the shower. That's a private time for most people. If you're not private in the shower, you're busy doing something else, but that's okay. All day long, repeat that feeling. Feel that feeling of who You are.
And that's your new reality. That's who you are. Don't think it, feel it. Once you feel it, you're it. Done.
And we all see it.
Go forth and spread beauty and light and you, your new reality to all of us. I love you. Until next time.
