A short spoken anecdote (YouTube video/transcript) by Timothy Schucker about his experience door-knocking for life insurance and encountering an unkempt house where a middle-aged man answered the door naked. The narrator describes severe neglect at the property (mold, dirt, many open cat-food containers, flies, foul odor), felt alarmed, left, and called police for a welfare check.

I was door knocking for life insurance and this guy opened the door completely naked. So I was knocking doors in a less than desirable area. I came up to this house and it was covered in dirt and mold and it had vines growing all over the sides of it. There's duct tape and blankets covering the windows and like 15 half empty containers of cat food on the front porch. There's bugs crawling everywhere and legitimately, hundreds of flies going in and out of the cat food from the outside of this house. It smelled like rotting flesh. So obviously I knocked the door. About 20 seconds go by and the door slowly opens. There's a guy in his mid to late 50s, only wearing a dirty wife beater with stains all over it. I mean, it was only the wife beater. Everything else was just hanging out. I just got the sense that something terrible was happening or was going to happen. So after I left the house, I ended up calling the cops just to do a welfare check to make sure that everyone was okay.
