So what is the best type of insurance to sell in 2026? Well, somebody who's worked with top producers in literally every single field in insurance, I can confidently answer the question and tell you who is making the most money and living the best lifestyle. So I broke this down into a tier list and I'm going to be breaking down all of the main types of insurance that people sell. What's the best, what's the worst, so that you can decide what you should be focusing on in the new year to maximize your income and live the best life possible. So, without any further ado, let's dive. Alrighty. So if you're unfamiliar with how these videos work, this is basically what's called a tier list. And so essentially S tier is the best. Then we got A, B, C and D is for the worst. All right, so let's kick this off. We're going to start with ACA insurance or Obamacare. I'm going to put this one into C tier. The reason why I'm going to put ACA or Obamacare into the C tier is there's a lot more regulation that's come up recently. I know for a while people were making really good money with this, but it's, it's kind of saturated to some extent. And there's a lot of people that just have massive call centers. Like any industry where you're having to compete with tons of call centers that are PE backed, private equity backed, and could just spend a ton of money to acquire a customer. And the commissions are small. Like eventually all the profit is going to get sucked out. Also, we're in a Republican administration right now, which means that there is less money in Obamacare. Next thing, milk, eggs and cheese. We're talking about term insurance. I'm going to put this one into B tier. Here's why. I think term insurance is good if you sell it with the right writers and if you're selling it in addition to another product. So let's say you were selling term insurance plus health care. Cool. Makes sense. Or you're doing term insurance and then maybe you're taking people's assets under management. Kind of like the Primerica model. You know, there's money in that. But the problem with term is just so commoditized where, like if you look at what are the ads that you see when people are advertising term insurance, it's literally pay the least, get the most. It's like the Walmart of insurance. People don't really value it. They want a $5 million policy. For a dollar a day, right? That's kind of like the main advertising that's out there for term. So while you can make money in it, and there are people to make money in it, usually they're selling term in a little bit of a different way. Which brings me to mortgage protection, which I'm actually going to put. I'm going to put mortgage protection in A tier and term will be in B. The reason why mortgage protection is one of those products where when it's hot, it's really freaking hot. Okay? It's really hot. There's definitely a lot of chargebacks, which is a downside. Not as bad as some of the other products we're going to be talking about, but it's very cyclical. And when it's not hot, it's just basically worthless. Right. The main way that people generate these leads is by using mailers, which are expensive. But I know people who, you know, make half a million, a million dollars a year selling mortgage protection. It absolutely can work. The downside to it is, like, a lot of times it is a little misleading in terms of the way you're selling it. You're calling and you're basically pretending to be from their, you know, mortgage office, and then you're selling them a policy to protect their mortgage. And it's kind of like a little bit iffy in terms of how most people sell it, but there is money in it, and when it's hot, it's hot. So I will leave it there. Next, I'm going to put Medicare in B tier. By the way, mortgage protection can either be an A tier or D tier, depending on when it is Medicare is in B tier. The reason why is actually we're going to put term down to C because Medicare is definitely better than term. The nice thing about Medicare is you build up this renewal base that can pay you over time. But the problem is right now they're stripping commissions like crazy. So, yeah, as I'm like thinking through this, this is going to go in C tier. We're going to put term back in B. Medicare in theory is like, amazing, right? Medicare is like, amazing. I literally joined the business because of the way that Medicare commissions are paid. The problem is right now they're stripping a lot of the commissions and regulations are getting worse and there's becoming less and less money in this industry. However, you know, if you got into that 10 years ago, I mean, it was like discovering fire in the caveman times. You know, like, people made out like freaking bandits with Medicare Advantage plans. And built up massive renewal bases that just paid them so much money. But now it's a little bit iffy, in my opinion. So I probably would not sell that if I was starting or deciding what to sell next. We're going to go to iul. I'm going to put IUL and A tier. I would put this in S tier, but there's a couple of things that have happened recently that caused me to drop it down to A tier. I still think IUL is a great product to sell. I still think there's a lot of money in it. Something is very beneficial, however, you know, with some of the things that are coming out in the news, like there's some bad publicity for IULs, which will make it harder to sell, but it's still better than term. And it's about on the same level as mortgage protection, if not a little better. I wouldn't quite put it in S tier, but I would put it in A tier. Okay. And maybe mortgage would come down here. To be honest, this might be better. Yeah. IUL is good product to sell. You can make tons of commission. You can build an agency on it. It may become harder to sell in the coming years if it gets worse publicity, but you can still make good money in it. Next, I'm going to put PNC also in C tier. I have friends that, you know, do millions and millions and millions of dollars in pnc. Not a bad thing to sell by any means, because it's literally required legally for every single person in America to have it. The biggest downside is the rates are changing. You're selling a commodity. Like, you know, if you sell State Farm, someone else sells State Farm, why would they go with you versus the other agent? There's not really any way you can differentiate yourself that much. Now, if you're selling, like, business insurance or like commercial insurance, that can be good because those just don't really cancel their policies ever. So, you know, if you're selling pnc, it's very wide in terms of what it encompasses, but there can definitely be a lot of money in pnc. Next. Probably my favorite type of insurance, as you can tell from where I put it and the videos I make on the channel, is final expense. I'm being totally sarcastic, by the way. I think final expense is probably the worst possible product that you could sell as an agent. Couple reasons. One, chargebacks, nasty. Two, you're calling broke people. Three, the broke people don't really answer the phone. So basically, like, answer rates on final expense leads, even if they're SMS verified are going to be dramatically lower than any other type of lead. You know, I'm talking like five times lower or more oftentimes. This is the product most agents are recruited to sell. And the amount of times I've seen it ruin people's lives. Like there's like one guy who says he makes money selling final expense. Who on YouTube and you know, on Facebook and whatnot. And I'm sure he's doing great, but like one person, thousands of agents. Like I've never seen somebody do final expense long term, make money and be in a good financial situation. Never seen as someone who sells it. Now the guy I'm talking about is an agency owner. So agency owners, maybe they can make money in it if they're selling leads to their agents. But as an agent, it is the worst possible product you could sell in my opinion. You're calling people who get tons of calls every single day, you know, barely have any money, will cancel the policy at the first chance they get. And overall it's just an absolute terrible product. Terrible lifestyle. You have to make 500 plus dials a day to make any money. Making 10 grand a month is like the peak of a successful agent and final expense, especially after chargebacks. And I've just seen it every single way. I mean I've generated leads for as low as 77 cents in final expense. I've generated super high quality leads where you do them, you know, they go through like triple OTP verification and the leads are 40 bucks a pop. And no matter which way you skin the cat, it just is a bad business model overall. Next we're going to talk about infinite banking. I'm going to put this into a tier right next to IUL think about infinite banking and I'm basically talking about selling like big whole life insurance policies. It doesn't necessarily have to be for the purposes of infinite banking, but like selling big life insurance policies to like wealthy people that are going to use it for the tax advantages or to borrow against or whatever. Right. I'm going to put this into a tier. The reason why is because if you can master this, you can make multi seven figures a year and you can build this recurring base of renewals that pays you every single year, year after year, year after year for your entire life, as long as they keep the policy. It's a little complex to learn, but once you learn it, it unlocks a lot of doors for you. Okay? And lastly, annuities. Drumroll please. I'm going to put into S tier the reason I put annuities into S tier is because I've seen the commissions that people make on these. You know, we had, I'll give you a perfect example. We've made videos with this guy on my channel. His name's Brendan. A year ago, he was selling a bunch of final expense. He switched to selling annuities and IUL. Now he's mostly just doing annuities. In one month, he made $140,000 in commissions. The four months before that, he made $260,000 in commissions with negligible amount spent on marketing relative to that. And the nice thing about annuities is there's so many things that are playing in your favor if you sell these. One, everyone's terrified of what's going on in the market. Right now. You have 10,000 people turning 65 every single day. So tons of people retiring, all these assets up to be moved into annuities. Third, the average baby boomer has over $1 million saved for retirement. So like, if you just move over a quarter of that money into an annuity, that's like a $15,000 commission. Repeat that over and over and over and over. I mean, you do four of those a month, you're making 60 grand a month. I'm not saying that you're going to do that. I don't even know who you are. But it's 100% possible, right? The other thing too with annuities is the chargeback window is only 30 days. If someone dies, it can be different, but it's not like final expense or mortgage protection or even iul. People can cancel the policy nine months in a year, in two years in, and you lose the whole commission. It's a much shorter chargeback window. Chargebacks are basically non existent in annuities. It's like less than 10% chargeback. So you get bigger commissions, you're dealing with better clientele, you're having better conversations. And you know, if you master that skill, you can do it from anywhere in the world, completely, virtually, and really just live the life that you want. So this is my tier list. If you guys want to break into annuities or break into, you know, some of these higher tier products specifically for annuities. I created a $50 million per year annuity script. So we worked with a producer who does $50 million a year, condensed his entire sales process into a script and a handbook to help you sell annuities. If you want access to that, just click the link down below and I will see you guys in the next video.
