How I Use ChatGPT to Book More Life Insurance Appointments

A YouTube video by Timothy Schucker explaining how insurance agents can use ChatGPT and connected apps (notes/voice transcription) to increase efficiency in selling life insurance. The speaker demonstrates using ChatGPT to transcribe calls, generate tailored follow-up scripts, and handle both simple (final expense) and more complex (retirement/annuity and tax) client scenarios.

Look, if you're an insurance agent who's not using this app right here to scale your business, I hate to break it to you, but you are 100% going to get left in the dust. If you haven't heard the Joe Rogan podcast with Elon Musk where he literally had a conversation back with AI be the bearer of bad news. But AI is here, and you can either use it for good and to help you further your business, or you can completely ignore it, bury your head in the sand, and get left in the dust while other agents use it to progress. Which is why in this video, I'm going to show you guys how to use AI to help you sell life insurance. I'm going to give you a quick trick that I picked up that has allowed me to be much more efficient when I'm on the phones talking to people and selling insurance policies. And it ultimately allows me to get way more done in way less time. And it's super simple. It takes, like, five minutes to do so. Without any further ado, let's dive in. All right, so what I can actually do on ChatGPT, this is really, really cool. You can connect it your notes app. So if you take notes, right? If you take notes on your client calls inside of a notes app, you can connect it to ChatGPT and ask it specific questions about that conversation. Right? But some other things that you can do is I can go in here and I can use this voice recording and I can ask it questions about specific conversations. So let me show you guys an example. All right, so I just got off with a client. I'll just use final expenses as an example. I just got off with a client, and basically, they are looking to get a final expense policy. They want to get $500,000 in coverage because they like the idea of the number. But ultimately, they're 67 years old, they have some health issues, and I need to kind of like talk them down from $500,000. What would be the best way for me to go about approaching this?
So I'm going to send this message in. It's going to transcribe it into a voice message, and it's going to essentially give me an answer of how I can go back and approach this person right now. Obviously, if you know how to sell, you probably already know the answer to this. But what about for other things where maybe your upline can't answer a specific question for you? If you're doing more advanced stuff like Iuls, there can be a lot of instances where like something pops up. There's a complex situation maybe you haven't approached before. So let's see an example for that real quick though, before I do, just look at how it kind of like came up with a step by step approach for this. This is pretty solid, right? I totally get why you like that number. It sounds like a really strong safety net for your family. Now, just to make sure we find the best fit for you, final expense policies work a little different. Affordable and guaranteed. Focusing on covering funeral expenses, not necessarily large sums. Most of my clients, blah, blah, blah, blah. Like this is a pretty good way of approaching the conversation to be honest with you guys. Like this is. This is pretty close to how I would do it. Right? So now let's do a more complex retirement example. All right, so I'm having a conversation with a separate client who they have about $500,000 in a 401k right now and they're concerned about stock market risk and taxes they don't want to have. They're worried about the taxes with the 401k. If I want to move that money over to an annuity, how much should I look at moving over and how can I do it in a way that avoids them getting hit with a large tax bill? Make sure when you give this answer to do research online, potentially looking at the IRS tax code or other retirement expert sites so that we can help this person move their money and not cause any issues with taxes.
All right, so we're going to send. Now let's see.
Transferring your clients 500k from a 401k annuity can be accomplished without incurring immediate tax liabilities by following a strategic tax compliant approach, direct rollover, traditional ira. Right. And it's basically going to give you this exact detailed answer of how to do it without causing issues. And it also shows me all of the sources that it looked at. 401k to IRA, IRA rollover, IRA annuity rollovers. And I can even go and check on the sources to make sure they seem legitimate. So I mean, guys, like, if your upline is taking too long to respond to you or you need a quick answer to something like just go ask ChatGPT. Like we have access to this. We're lucky enough to be born in a time where we have this tool. But also you got to realize if you aren't using this tool and other people are, the negative implications of that are extremely high. Right. Because other people are just going to be able to like crush you in terms of the speed at which they're able to respond to clients, the accuracy at which they're able to handle cases, and ultimately the amount of sales and families that they're able to help. All right, now I'm going to give you guys one more example of how you could use this. Basically, one thing I highly recommend is recording all of your calls, right? Recording all of your sales calls. So what I can do is I can record the call, download the transcript and upload it into chat GPT and ask it for feedback on how I did on my call, right? So again, record all your calls, download the transcript, upload it into ChatGPT, and then you can ask it questions on like, hey, how did I do here? What could I have potentially done better to win this person over? And again, while it's an AI, like, it's not going to be perfect, it's not going to be like, you know, the best sales trainer you've ever had. It's probably going to point out different things in different blind spots that you would not have noticed that could have helped you close that deal. And I'm telling you guys, if you do that with all of your calls and you export it, upload it into ChatGPT and get feedback, like, the, the speed at which you're going to progress as an agent to be able to close much more, like much more deals and get better faster is like 10 times that of somebody which doesn't. Who does not do that. So wanted to spit some game at you guys. Show you guys to use AI. If you're not using AI, start using it. And if you are using it, try some of these ways I just gave you. See you guys soon.
