How To Generate High Net Worth IUL Leads in 2025

Timothy Schucker walks through a Facebook ad funnel for IUL leads: run ads with the agent as the face, send prospects to an educational video, capture them with a survey, then book calendar appointments. The strategy targets people already saving for retirement or with existing IULs, and relies on education and trust-building instead of aggressive closing.

Ladies and gentlemen, in this video, I'm going to be showing you the single best way to generate high intent, highly qualified IUL leads on Facebook to book on your calendar and buy. And the reason that I can say that is because I've helped agents like Josh spend $2,800 on leads for the month and write $88,000 in approved annual premium working part time, which is crazy. So I'm going to break down the exact strategy that he's using and how you can replicate it for yourself. So let's dive in. All right, so a couple of things that you guys need to understand when it comes to selling the advanced market products and ultimately generating leads, right? And now what most people would do is they'll run an ad like this. Let me actually pause the video and I'll show you. So most people, they run ads like this to generate IUL or annuity leads or whatever. This specific video is going to be about iul. So that's what I'm going to kind of reference, right? When you realize that you can pay $100,000 a month for a six figure life insurance policy that you can borrow against tax free to buy assets that pay you passive income, right? Now what you have to realize is, for one, this is price anchoring people at $100 a month, okay. Which is immediately going to decrease the qualification of the people that you get that come in, right? And, and so like when you guys are buying these IUL leads, this is like the type of ads your lead vendor is running, or oftentimes if you've ever run your own ads, this is probably the type of stuff you're running, a six figure life insurance policy you can borrow against, right? So you're getting people that basically want to use this to take out debt like immediately that can pay you passive income. So, like, yeah, that sounds appealing, but it's also a little misleading. And then, you know, nothing against this, this lady that's in the ad, but like, also, she doesn't really look like a finance professional, right? And if you want to attract serious people, you need to run serious ads. And this is like the TikTok ification of finance, right? You can see this girl, she's in like a T shirt. You know, she's got tattoos, which, you know, I got a problem with tattoos. But when you're wearing a T shirt and you know, you look like you're 22 and then you're talking about a life insurance policy that you can put a hundred dollars a month in, it's like, it's the combination of all of these things that would result in a lower quality lead. And to the naked eye, like, you might not realize that, but once you kind of like understand the things I'm going to show you guys and teach you in this video, you'll see why this ad would get such low quality people. So what does it actually take to get quality and qualified IUL leads? Right. Well, the thing is, it all starts with the angle of who you're going to target, right? So what is an angle? An angle is basically the way in which you sell your product. So with an iul, there's tons of different angles, and each different angle is going to attract a different type of person. Uh, let me actually draw this with the other white, other little pen marker things so it stays. Right. So when you're going about generating leads, you want to pick an angle that's going to attract quality and qualified customers. And I'm going to show you guys how to do that. So an angle is basically the way in which you sell a product. So if we look at iul, there's so many different angles. Let me zoom in a little bit. There's so many different angles and ways in which we can sell this. So, for example, right?
Tax free retirement.
This is one way you can sell iul. A lot of people do this, right? Tax free retirement. A lot of people sell this as like a children's policy. Some people sell this as debt free life, right? You guys may have heard that where people basically contribute to an IUL and then they pay off their debt faster, right? Debt free life. Another way people do it is like bank on yourself with an iul, which generally is not what you're supposed to do. Read the Infinite Banking book. And he doesn't mention iul. He mentions whole life, right? But doesn't mean IUL is bad. It's just not for that concept. Bank on yourself. I mean, there's more that I can't even think of. So, like, based off of what you say in the ad, it determines who you're gonna get. So if you're saying the wrong things, if you're saying things like, you know, you can put in a hundred dollars and then borrow against this to get rich. Like, you're gonna get people that are looking for a get rich opportunity. Of course, right? Like if I shout in a crowd like, hey, everyone that has a blue shirt, raise your hand and. And then I get upset that I'm getting a bunch of people with blue shirts, like, that's what you asked for, right? So it's the exact same thing with your advertising. So what I've personally found, if you want to generate qualified iul, you're going to want to do angles of people that are like, they go after people that already have money. So for example, this tax free retirement is a great way to do it. The children's whole life is like this. One could go either way, but I would say it's not bad. The debt free life is, is not a bad angle as well. But. But what I found is generally when you try to sell IUL under be your own bank, you attract the wrong type of. You attract the wrong crowd, right? Another thing you can do is you can go after people that already have an IUL or are looking into an iul, and then you essentially just position yourself as the expert that kind of walks them through making that decision. Right. And I'll show you guys how that works in just a moment. But this is the first thing you need to master is you need to understand like if you look at your client base, right, look at the people you sold IUL to or if you haven't sold Iuls, I'll just kind of tell you guys what I've seen. Think about who are the best people that you've served and what are their commonalities. Usually they're probably already saving for retirement. Maybe they have a 401k, maybe they have this, maybe they have that. So if I'm noticing, like, let's say I say I notice all of my clients have 401ks, well then I can make an ad that says like, hey, if you have a 401k, here's a better way to get tax free retirement or something like that. That's obviously just off the dome. So here's essentially what you want to do. Pick the angle that's going to get you high quality people. From what I've seen, the angles that I just checked off would tend to get you that if you target people that are already saving for retirement, instead of targeting people that this is the first time they're ever going to save for retirement, you're going to get better, more qualified people that will actually buy what you're selling. Right? So let's kind of walk through how you actually set this up. Okay. This particular tutorial is not going to be me like showing you to set up ads on Facebook. There's other videos that do that. They're on my channel and I can make a new one if you guys want. But this is not that's not what this is going to be. So you make your ad right. Remember, the ad is all built on the foundation of using the right angles to get the right people. So the ad is usually going to have like a headline up here and then there's going to be a spokesperson talking. Now what I found works really well. If you want to be like, if you want to get trust from your prospects before you speak with them is, is be in your own ad. We help people with this, we call it the personal brand funnel and we can help you set that up if you want, link below in the description. But basically you're in your own ad. You're positioned as the expert. From there, you then send them to a training video, right? Because what you need to realize about these products, right, what you need to realize is they require education.
Not closing. Okay? You basically educate people into buying. You don't like close them like you do with like final expense or term. It's all about education. Same thing with annuity. If you try to hard close somebody into buying an IUL and putting thousands of dollars a month into it, you try to hard close somebody into moving all their retirement savings to you with an annuity, it is not going to work. So you need to educate them. So what we can do if you want to get highly qualified leads that are also pre framed is you can do the education process. And while you're educating them, you're also building the trust, right? Like for example, you're watching this video right now. I help insurance agents generate leads and basically create their own marketing systems. I'm providing you value, so I'm educating you. But now you also view me as an expert in that field. And when you want to hire a company to help you do this, you're probably going to hire us, right? Wink, wink, no pun intended.
So education and trust, you want to do that. At the same time, if you can do that, not only are you getting more qualified and better educated leads, but then it's also gonna be easier for you specifically to close them. So we then send those people to a training video. Usually we will put you in the training video so they see you in the ad. And then you put together this whole video where you're like being positioned as the expert. You're teaching them. You don't have to do a whiteboard. You can do a video like what I'm doing right now. And then you're, you're basically answering a lot of their questions and objections in this video. Then at the end you Invite them to go and fill out a survey down below where they would answer a few questions about their situation. And that's when you get the lead. Okay, so what this results in is you get less leads and the leads are more expensive, but the leads are much higher quality. Right? The leads are much higher quality because think about it. They had, in order to become a lead, they had to see you in the ad. They had to go to and watch a video of you where you're teaching them about this product. And then, then, and only then, once they fill it out, a form, and you can even make them verify their phone numbers on this form, that's going to jack up your cost more. But you're only going to get. Right. Correct numbers. Then and only then do you get the lead. Right? So from there, we don't just stop there. Because what I've found is this, the better leverage you can get on your time, the better. Right? Obviously. So after they become a lead, we then send them to a separate page.
Which is where they can book a calendar. So there'll be some text up here telling them why they need to book. And then you will put your calendar here. Right? This is me drawing a calendar.
Hopefully you guys are, are getting the vision that I'm trying to put down here with what this is supposed to look like. Right? So then you send them to a calendar and they book a call with you. Right. But we don't stop there because you want to have people that are jumping on the call already being educated and having a lot of their objections overcome. So what we'll actually do is like, I'm gonna erase some of this. We can move this over a bit. Okay, so what we'll actually do is. Let's see how I need to set this up. Okay, cool.
So we actually will do is we'll send them videos and stuff. Send videos, emails, and text prior to the appointment. So they book the call, then they're gonna get emails, right? Just say like five emails, they're gonna get text messages.
Then they're also going to get sent, like videos. Right? And so this is a strategy I learned from one of my mentors.
And he calls it the hammer them strategy, where basically before people jump on the phone with you, you just hammer them with a ton of content. So by the time they jump on, they're already like framed and ready to go. So we're sending them all these videos. Guess who's in the videos? You. And basically these videos would be answering, like, common questions. Right? I'll just Put a question mark. Objections and beliefs. Right. I'll just put B for beliefs. So you're answering common questions that people have about Iuls. You're overcoming the objections, right? Like, why does Dave Ramsey dislike Iuls? Well, the truth is, it's not for the reason that you think. If you go and Google Iuls, you'll see videos of Dave Ramsey saying they suck. But in reality, what he's talking about is misinformed agents who are setting them up the wrong way. However, if you do set an IU up the right way, it can be an extremely powerful tool that can be a cornerstone of your retirement. Right. You'd make a video that would answer that objection. Which some people will see this and they'll be like, oh, I don't want to film all those videos. That would take too much time. Wrong. You're spending the time either way. The only difference is, do you want to answer the objection one time and send it out over and over, or do you want to have to answer it every single time on the phone? Right. The answer is pretty obvious. So by the time they jump on, right. Usually people will do a call via Zoom. By the time they jump on Zoom, I think this is the Zoom logo. By the time they jump on Zoom, they're already like, pre famed and ready to go. And it's really just about, like, answering the questions, overcoming any potential obstacles, showing them the illustration, and then writing a policy. So, ladies and gentlemen, that is exactly how to generate high intent, highly qualified Iulds. It starts with the angle, then you put yourself in the ad. You send those people to a training video where you educate them more. While you're educating, you're building the trust, and you're also warming up the lead they book on your calendar. You also call the leads, and then you send them content prior to them jumping on. And this is exactly what we call the personal brand funnel. If you want to learn more about that, link down below in the description. You guys have questions, drop them in the comments and I'll see you in the next video. Peace.
