A short instructional segment from a YouTube video by Timothy Schucker giving a single, primary study tip: use a stack of flashcards to capture definitions and numeric facts for the life insurance exam, sort them into 'know/unsure/forgot' piles, and repeatedly review by recycling unknowns along with some known cards until all are mastered.

This right here is the number one best tip I can give you to pass the life insurance exam your first try. So what you're going to need is a stack of flashcards like this. And as you're going through the coursework, you're going to look out for two things. Terms like definitions and numbers. Like, how long is the free look period? 30 days. And write those down on the flashcards, and then you do that. All right, so now let's say I got, you know, my stack of flashcards here. I got terms and I got numbers. So I'm going to go through. Boom, whole life. What is the definition of whole life? It's coverage. It lasts for your whole life. Okay, perfect. I got this. Right. I'm going to put it in this pile next. How long is the free look period? Oh, you know, I don't remember. I'm wrong. Boom. I'm going to put it in this pile. Then the middle pile is going to be ones that I'm not really sure about. We go through the whole stack, and then you're going to take all the ones that you didn't get. You're going to take all the ones you're unsure of and a few of the ones that you're 100% sure of, shuffle them back and go again. And your goal is to clear all of these out and get them into the pile where you're sure.
