Is WFG World Financial Group a scam? Well, in this video, I'm going to be giving you five questions or things that you need to know before joining wfg. So the first thing that you need to know and that you need to ask about before joining WFG is the commission level, right? So whenever you're getting into the insurance industry, one of the things that you have to do is pick an agency or pick an IMO that you're going to ultimately work with and put your contracts with, right? And this can be one of the most important decisions that you make whenever you're getting into the business. I'll be totally honest and vulnerable with you guys. When I first got started, I made the wrong decision, and I don't want you to make the wrong decision as well. So commission level is essentially what percentage you will get paid of what you sell. So if you sell a policy for 1,000 bucks, if you're at a 30% commission, you're going to get 30, 300 bucks. If you're at 100% commission, you're going to Get 1,000 bucks. If you're at 120% commission, you would get 1200 bucks. So the commission level you're at is going to have a big factor in determining how much money you actually make. So with wfg, you really want to ask a couple things about commission, because it depends on who you're getting recruited by and which particular agency you're in with inside wfg. But you want to know, what are you going to start at? What is your starting compensation level, and what is your starting compensation level per product that you could sell? Right. The other thing you want to also ask about is what, like, how do you, how do you go about getting your commission raised? Because some agencies you can only get your commission raised if you recruit other people. And if you're getting into this business to sell insurance and not to recruit, well, that might not be the best model for you because you're going to be stuck at a low commission, right. Whereas other agencies, you can only raise your commission by production. And in that case, if you want to go and build, that would not be the best thing for you. So you want to figure out what is the actual commission ladder look like and how do you go about increasing it, Right? So that is, number one, is what is the commission. Now, I've talked to a lot of people that have left WFG or been a wfg, and a common thread of what I see is you usually will start around 25 or 30%, right. And essentially the way that the model works is you go and you sell a few people and then you recruit and bring on what they call business partners. And then once you do that, you're able to increase your commission. The more people you bring on, the more you sell, the higher your commission goes up. So it's very much so an MLM based agency. And if that's what you're looking for, fantastic. If that's when you're not, it's not what you're looking for, you know, you may want to consider some, some other things and some other different options. Now that's number one is commission level, number two is training, right? So ask your recruiter, ask whoever's trying to bring you into the business, what is the training look like with your particular agency at wfg? So what I have most commonly heard at WFG and at similar models is essentially they'll bring you in, you'll set a point with your friends and family members for the recruiter, and then basically the recruiter goes through and helps you sell insurance to your friends or family members, right? So you bring in like, let's say I bring in my mom, my grandpa and my sister and I bring them and I set them all on appointments with my upline, right? And then my upline is going to then pitch them the different products, sell them insurance, and then we're going to split the deal. So that's essentially how the training works, which in all reality, that's a pretty decent way to train. But the training is reliant upon you selling to your warm market. So if you don't want to sell to friends and family member, you might have a tough time kind of getting that training because the training is called field training. So you're going out in the field with your warm market with people in your, in your network or your circle, and those are the people that you're going to be setting the appointments with who will ultimately going to be the way that you learn how to do it and the way that you learn how to sell. And then what happens is once you've sold your network, you go out, recruit other people and then you sell their network and then the cycle just essentially continues. And that's basically how most of the training works at agencies like wfg. So you want to ask about the training. The third thing you want to ask about is leads, right? So once you've exhausted your warm market, where are you gonna go about getting leads? How do you get More leads, How do you get more people to talk to? Because ultimately, if the only way to get leads is by your warm market or by somebody else's warm market, the cycle of recruiting has to continue and you end up just becoming recruiter and not a producer. Because the only way that you can produce is by getting more people in to sell the people that they know. So ask about leads. If they have a lead program and have a different way for you to generate leads, great. If you are a WFG agent who wants leads, what you can also do is you can just go out and generate your own. You could run your own ads, generate leads on Facebook. If you guys want to learn like how to do that, we have like a course linked down below that you can get access to for free. So if you click the link down below, you can learn how to get leads even if you're at wfg. That's an option as well. But you do want to ask about what the lead options are, right? So figure out how you're going to go to get leads. If they, if your agency has a lead system that you can use, great. If you're going to have to go and find leads on your, on your own, I don't really recommend buying them just because your, your commission is usually a little lower at wfg, so you can't afford to pay like a lead vendor markup. So in that instance, you would probably want to learn to generate your own leads, right? Which we have videos on our channel that show you how to do that as well as a whole course that teaches you everything. So leads is the third thing that you want to ask about. Now the fourth thing you really want to know about and ask about is who is your upline and what is their experience with selling. Because you're in a model where people are constantly coming in and churning and burning, you're going to have a lot of new people there. So if you're getting trained by someone who hasn't been selling for that long, well, you might not be getting the best advice. So the upline that you pick could have a direct correlation to your success or failure within, within an agency like wmg. So you want to kind of get a background of who your upline is, how long have they been selling, what is the best, best month they have, because again, ultimately if they don't know how to sell, they're not going to be able to teach you how to sell. So really get a background of who your upline is. Now the last thing you want to ask about is like, what the requirements are going to be for you to recruit. If you want to recruit, if you want to do that, you want to build a team, if you want to kind of do the MLM model, WFG is a great spot for that. But if you want to be more focused on selling insurance and being a producer, it's probably not going to be the best. So make sure to ask the recruiter, the person that's bringing you in, what are the expectations going to be for you to recruit? And then once you bring those agents on, how are you going to get them leads? Because if the only way to get leads is to recruit more people, you're going to have a much higher failure rate when you try to bring other people in. Because a lot of people are not comfortable going out and trying to sell to their friends and family. And some people only have so many friends and family they can sell to before the jig is up and they run out of leads. So very important to kind of get an idea of what that looks like, how you're going to recruit people, how you're going to bring them on, and how you're going to get more people to talk to so that once you've sold your friends and family, you still have an insurance business. So those are some of the questions you want to ask prior to joining wfg. Now, to answer the question, is WFG a scam? WFG is not a scam. However, depending on who you are, right, with an MLM like wfg, you are going to have a high failure rate. So you're always going to be able to find people on the Internet that are, you know, complaining or saying that, you know, they didn't make any money with WFG because it is ultimately a business opportunity. So a lot of people that come into it do fail. So it's not a scam. There is a very high failure rate just because of the nature of the business, with bringing a lot of people in is just naturally going to have a high failure rate. So not a scam, but it is 100% an MLM. And if you just want to get into the business to sell insurance, there are definitely better options out there.
