made $17k today... here's my raw unfiltered thoughts

Timothy Schucker made $17k in cash today and reflects on his shift from doing the work himself to managing a team. He's spending most of his time in meetings and building SOPs, preparing for his company's first in-person event, and thinking about how to scale by documenting and delegating repeatable processes.

So today we did about $17,000 in cash. In my business, a little bit of a slower day than usual. I would say, like a good day for us is like 25 to 30k. But basically I kind of just wanted to give a recap of where we're at right now, what's working, what I'm working on, and then what. What comes next. So it's currently Tuesday, July 22nd. As of the time I'm filming this video, I'm doing daily videos right now. To be honest, it's like 10:30 at night and I didn't film a video, so I'm just gonna kind of like riff it. But basically 17k day, this is in one payment processor. It actually was a 20k day because we just had 3k come in. So we're at like $20,000 for the day.
So basically what I'm working on now is really, I was more so like, and this is something that you'll, you'll learn and you'll have happen too, as a business owner is you start to shift from a point where you're like the individual contributor to get to a point where you're more so like managing and orchestrating a team. So I'm starting to more so step into that role where instead of me going and actually like doing things, it's more so me getting an army of people figuring out what project needs to be done, and then just like dishing out projects and making sure that they get done accurate and on time. So like, for example, today.
Most of my time.
Was spent on either meetings or making and building SOPs, which might sound like really boring, but that's what's required. Hold up. It's required for us to get to the next level is like really like going out, fleshing out all these business processes, documenting everything that we can do or everything that I do, and then plugging in other people to essentially like run plays. Like, the way that I kind of think about it is it's almost like I'm. I'm like a football coach and I say, hey, this, like, basically my job is to go in, find what plays work, right? So discover new plays and then put people in to run those plays consistently, right? So you're like, essentially you're finding a process that works, that is profitable. You find a profitable action, and then you find the right best players to come in and just run that profitable action over and over and over. Like, that's literally essentially what business is on the base. Like, most basic level is find profitable actions, repeat Those profitable actions. Find other people to repeat the profitable actions for you and then find more profitable actions. So that's kind of like the cycle of what I'm doing now and it seems to be working. I just love, I really enjoy pouring into other people and watching them grow.
And like developing them. One thing that we, we have our, our first in person company event this weekend, which I'm super excited for. We're going to be giving away some gifts to some people that are like top performers. And one thing that I'm really excited for is like saw this video from Iman Godsy the other day where he talked about the one advantage that you have.
That you should have above everyone else is like your culture and your ability to build the culture and grow people within. So I think getting all of our teammates in person and just getting everyone aligned and not only being a place where people go to work and make money, but also being a place where people go to improve as human beings overall, this can be massive for culture. And I mean, realistically with the pace we're going, it's like, you know what you realize is I remember when if I did 15k or 17k or it ended up being 20k in a day, that was like the most amazing thing ever. I was like, you know, going out to a nice dinner and probably getting a drink and having a little bit of a celebration. Whereas now it's like, oh damn, we didn't hit 20, 25, we didn't hit 30. We're not pacing a million a month yet. So it's like it never really, you never really feel like you arrive when you, you just hit new goals and then the new goals become the new norm. So yeah, ladies and gents, that's kind of what I'm working on now. I just wanted to film a quick video because I'm, I'm trying to keep up with my daily video. And so I wanted to just give you guys what are my thoughts, what am I thinking about, what's the stream of consciousness? So that's pretty much where we're at. I'll see you guys in the next video documenting the journey to a million a month.
