Right now, there is something going on that is going to shake up the entire economy in the insurance industry forever. It is so big and such a massive force, yet barely anybody in our industry is talking about it. And what I'm referring to is called the great wealth transfer. You see, right now, baby boomers are the wealthiest generation to have ever lived in human history. They are retiring in droves, and pretty soon they're going to be passing away in droves. And what's going to happen is all of their wealth is going to shift to the next generation. Now, experts speculate in terms of where that money will go. Some of it will be passed down in real estate, some of it will be passed down in stocks and traditional investments. But a massive portion of that wealth will, will flow through life insurance and annuities. Ernst and Young is one of the leading accounting firms in the entire world. They advise billion dollar companies, banks, and even governments on money investing and retirement strategy. And they put together a report to find the perfect retirement plan. And what they found is that if you want to optimize for longevity of life happiness and avoiding losing your ass in the stock market, your portfolio should look like this. 30% life insurance, 30% annuities, and 40% traditional investments like stocks. So one of the leading financial consulting firms in the world is telling people to move 60% of their money into life insurance and annuities. And these baby boomers are doing just that. So in this video, what I'm going to show you is how to tap into this great wealth transfer to create generational wealth for yourself and your family instead of missing out on literally the greatest opportunity of our lifetime that's happening in the insurance industry right now. So let's dive in. All right, so here's what you need to realize, right? Baby boomers have $100 trillion in wealth. And this wealth is expected to pass on to the next generation in the coming two decades, right? So here's the thing. Currently we are in what is called Peak 65, okay? Now, basically what this is is it's a current period of time where. Let me just switch the font. There we go. It's a current period of time where a massive portion of baby boomers are actually turning 65. So over the next three years, or actually over the next two years now, from 2024.
To 2027.
The largest amount of people will be turning 65 ever in history, right? So right now the number is 11,400 people per day. Right? And all of these people are either retired now or Will be retiring in the next few years. Now, what do people do when they retire? Well, they shift their strategy.
From accumulation.
Accumulation to conserving. Okay? When you're working, in your working years, the main goal is to accumulate wealth. But once you retire now, your goal is to conserve your wealth and make it last. Right? Now what this means is that a lot of these people, these 11,400 people per day, they are in demand. They need the products that we sell. They need annuities, okay? They need life insurance. Now why? I talked a little bit before about Ernst and Young, right, and what they recommended with the retirement plan. Why would they recommend people to put all that money in annuities and life insurance? Well, the reason why is annuities, they give you protection against market loss. But also you can get guaranteed.
Lifetime income with certain types of annuities, Right? Let me just move all this stuff over a little bit so my face isn't blocking the way. So you can get guaranteed lifetime income with certain annuities. Now what they found, this is crazy, guys. They did a study. People that have annuities, right? A 65 year old male with an annuity.
That has guaranteed income will live 20% longer than someone who doesn't. Okay? Do you understand how insane of a statistic that is? You can literally live longer proven statistically just by buying an annuity. Do you think that makes it easy to sell these things or what? It 100% does. I'm just gonna move my face up here. It 100% makes it easier to sell these. So annuities. This is the reason why protection, protection against market loss. If the market goes down, guaranteed lifetime income. And a 65 year old with an annuity lives longer with life insurance. Specifically, what I'm talking about is like cash value life insurance. Some people like Iuls, some people like whole life. I'm, you know, it's up to you. But basically the cool thing about life insurance is they can borrow against their policy to supplement their portfolio. So essentially what Ernst and Young talks about is the stock market goes up and down, right? So sometimes it's going up, sometimes it goes down, sometimes it goes up, sometimes it goes down. And these people in retirement, they're having to continue to withdraw money from their account whether the market is up or down. Now, as you can imagine, if you pull out a bunch of money here when the market is low, that hurts your portfolio's performance because then that money doesn't get a chance to recover. So what you can do is like, while the market is Down. Right. If the market takes a dip here, instead of pulling the money out, you don't pull the money out from here and you just borrow from your life insurance policy. So you just supplement your income with the life insurance policy so that you give this money time to recover. And if that sounds complex, it's really not. Basically all you need to understand is they essentially use the life insurance as like a savings account that if the market's down, they don't pull money out of their stock portfolio, they just pull money out of the life insurance policy. That's essentially the goal. Right. So that's one thing is it allows them to supplement income when the market is down.
I believe they refer to this as a volatility hedge.
And then the other thing too, we talked about passing wealth. Well, there's this thing called estate tax. What is the estate tax in the US right now?
So the estate tax is, let's see.
So if someone passes on anything over 13 million, there's an estate tax that they have to pay. Right. The person who inherits the money. And it can go all the way up to 40%. Right. I'll pull it up here. Federal estate tax rate.
There you go. Taxable amount one to 10,000. 18, 10,000, 20,000, 20%. And it goes all the way up to 40%. Right. So yeah, if you pass on a lot of money, like if someone's actually very wealthy, like a high net worth individual, which a lot, again, guys, remember, wealthiest generation to have ever lived, they have a lot of money to pass on. If they pass on anything above third, I think, what did it just say? $13.99 million. They pay up to 40% to estate tax, which is utterly insane. Okay, so if you pass it through life insurance, there's no tax.
It's such, it's like, it's insane. And what's so wild, guys, is all this massive opportunity that's happening and the products that a top accounting firm is telling people to put their money in is life insurance and annuities. Okay, so how do you actually tap into this now that we've kind of established what it is, why people are going to move money into the products? What is the best way to ultimately capitalize on this? So in my opinion, and from all of the data that I have seen, I believe that the best way to do this is by selling advanced market products like I was in annuities, and doing it by positioning yourself as an expert. Okay, so essentially these baby boomers will look for experts. They're going to look for experts who can ultimately help them put together plans. So essentially, as an expert and all you need to do, you don't actually have to be an expert. Bonus points if you are, but you need to be perceived as an expert. That's the biggest thing. Okay? You need to be perceived as an expert.
So what you can do is if people come to you looking for help with securing a portion of their retirement savings or using life insurance to pass down wealth tax free, or ultimately just making a better retirement plan overall, once you're in the door, you can refer them out to other people that are experts, right? So if it's your client, you can then hook them up with a state estate planning lawyer, right? Estate planner, you can hook them up with a tax strategist, you can even hook them up with a financial advisor. That's not going to cannibalize what you do, which most financial advisors will push you away from annuities or life insurance or anything like that. So you can have like a group of people in your corner where you almost become like a, like in some sense like a family office for them. They come to you, you're the expert, and then you refer to them, these other people, and you can get referral fees depending on the person that you're referring them to and the licenses that may be required to get any money on that. So how do you position yourself as an expert? Well, what I've personally found is that the best way to do this is with the power of video.
Right? Nowadays, anytime that I buy something, I usually buy it because I've seen somebody on YouTube and I've already gotten value from stuff they put out. But the cool thing is, is you can basically use a system where you have an ad that then goes to a page with a video on it that positions you as the expert. So usually you'll put together like an educational video, kind of like explaining the strategy that you help them with. So for example, if you're doing annuities, you could explain the different types of annuities, the pros and cons of each, why somebody would use an annuity, etc. Right? And then from there, you would then give them the opportunity to book an appointment on your calendar.
All right? And then between all of this, you're going to send people a ton of video content that answers questions, overcomes objections, and essentially positions you as the go to expert and advisor. This is essentially, we call this entire process the personal brand funnel. Because what you want to do is, is position yourself as an expert. That does what they need. And then once you get them in the door, you can refer them to other experts and collect nice referral fees on the back end. So, ladies and gentlemen, the $100 trillion wealth transfer is here. My question to you is, are you going to tap into it, or are you going to sit on the sidelines? See you guys in the next one.
