Trying To Win The Skool Games | Ep. 1

Timothy Schucker pivoted his business to a $9.97/month coaching membership for insurance agents after his previous model required nine months to generate revenue. He's launching for the Skool Games competition, inspired by Alex Hormozi and Sam Ovens.
All right, ladies and gents, this is episode one of trying to win the Alex Hormozi, Sam Ovens school games.
Basically. Let me just give you guys a little update and then I'm gonna jump on a call here in a couple minutes. Basically, we were doing a. Basically an entirely different business about a week ago. And you know, due to some certain circumstances with like cash flow and delay, basically delayed cash flow, the business we were. And we would have to wait like nine months to get all of our money. And we had a lot of upfront costs and waiting nine months just didn't really seem to add up with like, we basically have to put all the business expenses on a credit card. So last Tuesday, Today is Wednesday, May 29, we decided, hey, you know, let's do more of like a high ticket coaching program. And we saw something that we were like, wait, hold up, what if instead of selling something for like 12 or 15k, we sold something for like 9.97amonth? And so we were like, well, hell, let's do this school games thing. We saw that Hormozi and Sam Ovens, like, if you win, you get to go out and beat them in person. Which, you know, those guys are freaking awesome. Alex and Sam both in their own right and in their own different way. And so we decided to go ahead and.
Jump in one second to make sure I'm not.
Okay. Yes, we decided to go ahead and jump in to school and. Yeah, I gotta jump in a call, but I'll continue this video in just a second. All right, so where was. I just finished a call. This call was basically about like, we're trying to find this different software to integrate into our whole system that we're selling. We're basically selling like a system plus training, coaching, that kind of stuff. And so one of the softwares we were using is they're basically trying to screw over our clients. And so we had to find a different one. And that's what the call was. But anyway, what I was talking about, we switched over our business. We were going to do like a high ticket program, but we're like, hey, you know what, if we just sold monthly access would be so much easier to get people in. And then we just have to make a good product and people will stick and stay. So our goal, we're trying to build like the gym launch for our industry, which is, you know, insurance agents. So basically trying to do gym launch for insurance agents essentially. And if you're watching this, you're like, oh, I'm gonna Go and copy your niche. Like, good luck. It's not what you think. So it's not about the niche. It's about the fact that we have, like.
An unfair advantage in the niche. Right. But I would not recommend for somebody to go and target my niche because there's a host of problems that comes with it. Comes with it. And I would also crush you. So there's that, too. Find a different niche. Trust me. Anyway, enough about, you know, scaring you off of my niche, because genuinely, you don't want to do what I do.
Basically, our plan, our goal, what we're going to do is the way the whole system works is you have to have content ads, and then you just kind of, like, mix them together, and they just make this, like, amazing, amazing concoction of money, right? So basically, the way the whole system works is you. We, you know, this is. This is like. If you saw my comment on the Alex Hormozi video, and you're like, how did this do? Do, you know, 700k in red with 2k subscribers? This is it. You have content, and your content's going to suck in the beginning, but you just got to keep posting it. And, like, don't try to make it amazing. Just make it useful, make it helpful. That's the key. Everyone tries to make entertaining content, but if you just make useful, helpful content, that actually solves a problem. Like, people will watch. So you have the useful, helpful content. Just keep posting. Like, post two, three videos a week. Just do it and just love it and get used to liking it, because you're gonna have to keep doing it. So you do that. That stacks up over time. And then what we basically did is we had ads running, and we would send people into a Facebook group where we did, like, one live every single week. Now, you could use school. When I started this, school wasn't really now school is cool, right? When I started this, it was Facebook. So we have a big Facebook group with, you know, thousands of people now, which is cool. So, you know, you get the Facebook, you got the YouTube. Now you would just use a free school community. And I'm running ads to the school community and then nurturing them with my YouTube videos. And it's kind of this whole little flywheel that just starts working. And what happens is you do this for a few months. You find a case study. Boom. Now all of a sudden, this case study is successful, and you're gonna freaking parade this case study around like, it's, you know, whatever. You just. This is like, you have to promote the case study like crazy. And then other people are gonna want to be like that person. And you just keep doing it, and you get more case studies and you get more results and you actually have to do good work. And you keep posting on YouTube and you're running ads to the free group, and the free group and the YouTube are nurturing people, and then people are booking calls on your calendar and buying whatever you have to sell. That's basically what I did. Summarized in about a minute and a half. My plan to win the school games is basically the same thing, but instead of running people to a free community, I'm just gonna run them straight to book a call, you know, make an offer on Facebook, run ads. That's pretty much what I'm doing. You know, make an offer on Facebook, run the ads, and then that just sends them over to our page where they book a call, and then they're gonna book a call on our calendar. My business partner's gonna sell them, I'm gonna crank out free content and. And that's pretty much the plan. So where we're at in the process, we already have the offer set up. We already have the school community. We have six people that joined. Everyone that joined is freaking awesome. And we're gonna try and get a lot more people. So that's pretty much the play. It's May 29 now. We got about two days till the school game starts, so we're just gonna be pumping money into ads to get a bunch of people on the calendar. The biggest thing we're struggling with right now is just getting qualified people booking, because we're getting people booking, but it's not like our ideal avatar every time. So we're gonna have to figure that out, solve that problem. And then, I mean, from there it's just rock and roll, you know, just rock and roll. Keep. Once we find the formula, it's just about cranking it out. I mean, my business partner is like a God tier salesperson. If you guys haven't seen his channel, check him out. Julian Polito on YouTube. Julian. Julian spelled like Julian on YouTube. And he's going to be closing deals, you know, talking to our clients. And I'm going to be doing the marketing, building the product, making the product better, keeping the community engaged, and cranking up from there. So just kind of a quick little like raw talk, as I think they call it these days. Let me know if this is helpful for you guys. If you want me to keep posting these videos, let me know down below and maybe I'll just post one of these little, like, updates every day for the next 30 days. And then when we win the school games, this will be pretty cool to look back on. So that's the play, ladies and gents. I'll see you guys in the next one. Let me know if I should do this tomorrow, and if I get comments, I will post another one.
