Probiotic quality comes down to proof of efficacy from studies, not whether it needs refrigeration. Some formulations require cold storage, others stay stable at room temperature. It depends on the specific product and its science.

I would say that the best products are the brands that have been able to provide some amount of proof of efficacy, either from an internal study or an external study on their formulation. I generally refer to the products validation in order to assess if it's high quality or not. And some of those are refrigerated and some of them are not. And it's just that they have figured out different formulations to be able to keep things stable without refrigeration. That is a really, really great question. There's not really a yes or no answer to that. It really is dependent on the unique product and, you know, the science that they've done to figure out how to make it survive.
