A prospect says they need to check with their spouse before signing, then goes silent. Ask upfront: "Is there anyone else you'd have to run this by before signing a contract?" If yes, get them in the room now instead of losing the deal later.

The dreaded hidden spouse objection. Your meeting goes great, you get to the close, and they say they need to speak to their spouse. And then you never hear from them again. Been there before? The fact that you get this objection out of the blue at the end of your meeting tells me that you need to do a little bit of a better job setting up your meeting to begin with and defining the decision-making process with your prospect. A simple question like, "Hey, if everything goes well today and you want to move forward, is there anyone else that you'd have to run this by before being able to sign a contract?" That simple question, if he tells you no, then you're good to go. If that objection comes up at the end of the meeting, you know it's a put-off. If he tells you yes, then maybe you need to ask to pull that person into this meeting, which is what I would recommend. Hope this helps.
