So you just uploaded your YouTube video and you're ready to send it out to the world. But you want to make sure you get more than one view. And let's be real, it's probably your mom. So in today's video, I'm going to share with you 10 ways you can start promoting your YouTube video to get more views. Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Just the Tips. My name is Trena and I help creative businesses like you get their business on YouTube. Today's video, we're going to talk about. You've got your video ready to go. How do you get more people to watch it? So let's walk through 10 easy ways you can promote your video. So the first way you can start promoting your videos is send it to your email list. Now, whether you have an email list or not, and whether there's five or 20,000 people, send it to them. They might not even know you have a YouTube channel. So send it to your list. Second, share it in Facebook groups. So a lot of Facebook group have certain prompts where you can share your blog post. Share your video because it really stands out. Not a lot of people are sharing video blogs on those posts. The third way is to share it on Instagram. Again, Whether you have 5 followers or 20,000 followers, share it on Instagram. Even do a story about it. Show them that you have a channel. Show them that your new video is up. Do a whole story revolving around that video and then have the link to it in your bio. The fourth way you can start promoting your videos is Pinterest. You guys, this is my secret sleeper strategy. Not a lot of people are sharing YouTube videos on Pinterest. So what you want to do is make a Pinterest optimized image and link it to your video. Trust me, Pinterest is one of the top five traffic sources to my YouTube. So start promoting your videos on Pinterest. The fifth way to promote is obviously sharing it on your website. Write a little blog post and then embed that video into your website. Not only does it create a backlink from YouTube to your website, but it also adds extra search engine optimization for Google because Google really loves video content. So it's going to boost that blog post in their results because of that video being embedded in your blog post. So the sixth way is to have cards and call out other videos that you have in cards. So if you click on the card that I have popping out right now, it's going to take you to the first video video in this playlist where I talked about the five common mistakes I see people making who are new to YouTube. That way, if somebody finds this video, they're going to go watch your next video, and that's going to get more views on that video. And it's just going to be a cyclical process of people watching more of your videos. The seventh way to promote your videos, have a call to action, like I just did with tip number six. I believe I said, watch the car, watch the video in the card that I popped up, right? Or even telling people there's a link to my last video in the description box. If you go down to my description box, I have a link to the entire playlist on this Tuesday series. So you can start @ video number one. The next way to promote your videos is to create playlists. I talk a lot about thinking of your video content in series so that it makes sense for people to go from one video to the next, to the next, to the next. This is how you're really going to start promoting your videos. They're going to watch one video, then they're gonna be like, yeah, I wanna watch the next one in that series. I wanna watch the next one in that series. Kind of like binging on Netflix videos, right? I mean, they start playing one after another. So by having a playlist, they go one after another. And you're going to get more views on every single one of those videos in that playlist. Next is adding end screens to your video. So if you watch this video to the end, you'll see I will pop up a video that I think is best for you. I'm also gonna pop out an end screen that tells you to subscribe to my channel. It's going to be a little circle of me, but this is a way to not only promote watching more of your video content, but also to promote people to subscribe to your channel. And you can do this all within YouTube. Once you upload the video, you just go over to end screen elements and you can pop those suckers in real easy. And the final way to promote your videos is comment on other people's videos, whether they're in your niche or whether they're talking about something similar to you. Start interacting in those comments. Not only is that video creator going to see you potentially go check out your video content, but the people that are commenting on their videos and their community is going to see you see your icon and pop over to check out your channel as well. YouTube is really going to promote the content that you create that gets more views and more people to the platform. So anything that you can do to get people over to your video that were, say, on Facebook or on Instagram, they're obviously going to promote your content because you're bringing those people to the platform. What's one way you're planning to promote your next YouTube video? Is it Instagram? Is it Facebook? Are you going to finally send a newsletter out to your subscribers letting them know that you have a YouTube channel? Let me know down in the comments below. And make sure you subscribe to this channel, because like I said, this is a series of five videos. We're only on video three next Tuesday when I'm talking about why people aren't watching your videos. Thank you so much for watching and I will see you next week. Bye.
