The content features Trena Little speaking directly to the audience about personal and business habits she plans to incorporate to improve success, such as morning routines, exercise, meditation, reading, consistency, accountability, goal setting, and sleep. The video is motivational and instructional, aimed at creative business owners looking to grow their business and personal effectiveness.
You know, what's the one thing you can do to be more successful in your business and in your life? It's creating habits. Now before you think this is another video talking about all the things that you wish you could do, but you don't even know how to get started, I'm taking a little bit different of a stance on this video. This video is actually going to be about the habits I want to start incorporating into my life and how I plan to do that. If you want to see what my game plan is for creating some more habits into my life, start Stick around. Hi, my name is Trena and I created this channel to help creative business owners like you get on YouTube to grow your business. If this is your first time here, make sure you click that subscribe button and hit the bell to be notified every time I upload a new video to help you. Now, like I said, this video is all about creating habits. And as a mom, I totally get Habits can be difficult because your kids are basically unpredictable. If you watched my video yesterday, I talked a little bit how morning routines were kind of hard for me because I never know how the kids are going to sleep or what time they're going to get up because they are still so young. But with that being said, I still want to start getting better with my habits because if you read any books or hear from any of the most successful people like Lewis Howes, Amy Porterfield, Marie Forleo, they all have habits in their daily routine and that's what makes them successful. So the first habit I really want to start working on is that morning routine. Like I said, I just can't get into it right now. But but I plan to start waking up at 5am to exercise. Now I'm not doing some crazy exercise routine. I just want to get on the treadmill and walk for 20 minutes. I want to use this time to either read or listen to a podcast or maybe catch up on some trashy TV that I'm behind on. I really want to take this 20 minutes to not only exercise to feel better, but also to just kind of clear my head and get ready for the day ahead of me. Which leads into exercising is the next habit that I want to do. I have been a avid exerciser prior to baby number two and I just ran out of time. With two kids, a business client, work, a husband, exercising can kind of fall down on that priority list. So I want to start small by, like I said, walking. Now I'm going to probably incorporate this wherever I can. It may Be right before lunch when I'm feeling that mid morning slump. Or it might be in the afternoon when I'm feeling that mid afternoon slump because exercising does give me more energy. So I'm really going to try to focus on when can I get that into my day and really schedule it and stick to it. The next habit I want to try to incorporate, but I'm not sure where to get started is meditation or mindfulness. A lot of successful entrepreneurs talk about this and I feel it's really important. I've listened to a couple podcasts and I read a couple books by Gabby Burke and I really want to try to focus on this moving into the second half of the year. I think it's really important to just clear your mind and it ends up making you more focused. I'm not sure how I'm going to get started with that. I think I might go back and read Gabby's book again, but I really want to focus on this habit as well. The next habit is reading and learning. It's so important if you want to continue to grow your business and keep up leveling to read about things and learn. I want to find an educational program that I can be a part of or a mastermind so I can learn from other amazing business owners as well. And I want to commit to reading a new book every single month. It's not a lot committing to one book a month, but with everything on my plate, I just want to commit to one book a month. I'm kind of focusing on business books because I'm really interested in learning more about funnels and strategies. Some of the first books that I'm going to finish are Expert Secrets by Russell Bronson. And then I want to read the 5 second rule by Mel Robbins. Now we're on to the next habit that I really want to incorporate and it's consistency. I want to focus on doing something for 21 days. If you can do something for 21 days, it's basically that break point where it now becomes part of your daily routine. That's what I'm going to be doing with exercising. I'm really, really going to hold myself to do 21 days straight. Come rain, sleet, shine, no sleep. But that's really an important habit to start incorporating is focusing on something for 21 days because then it's easier to incorporate into your daily life. A huge, huge habit so many people have that are successful is they aren't afraid to fail. And I'm pretty good at this because I will put anything out There. It doesn't have to be perfect. Take for example, this video. You may be hearing Crazy wind right now, but this is the time that I have to film. And if you can hear the wind, so be it. I'm really focusing on trying new things out, not being afraid to fail and just learning to grow from that. So I challenge you to do that as well. If you're afraid to finally launch that course or program that you think nobody's gonna buy and you think you're gonna fail, just do it. I failed. I failed on my first launch. I failed on my first service. But guess what? I pick myself up again. I pivot, pivot, pivot. And I keep keep going. That's what I plan to do moving forward as well. Moving on to habit number eight is having accountability. And I really, really believe this is important. I never really had an accountability partner till mid last year and finding Janet, we just connected and she really makes me move forward in my business and tells me to get this done and I don't want to disappoint her when we meet again. And I haven't done it. That's really how you can get more things done in your business and see more results is finding an accountability partner. It's so important for me to really incorporate this and I'm doing this in my program as well. YouTube Bootcamp Everybody has the opportunity to have an accountability buddy just because you've got that extra motivation and you've got somebody making sure you get stuff done. If you aren't sure where to get started with an accountability partner, pop your name down below and let's start matching each other up. All right, so. So go ahead if you want an accountability partner. Let me know down in the comments below. The ninth habit is being goal oriented. Now if you've watched some of my videos here, I'll link them up above for you to check out. You'll know I wasn't a huge goal oriented person growing up. I didn't really know how to set goals, what were good goals, what to do with goals. But since really focusing on my powersheets goal planner, I've been able to see progress in my goals, which makes me motivated to do more. Even as small as setting goals for your launch so that you know where you need to be. Prior to my last launch, I did not set goals. I did not say. I did say I wanted this many people to sign up, but I didn't say what is my Facebook ad conversion that I want? How many people do I want signed up for my webinar. How many people do I want live on my webinar? Those types of goals. These little goals help you as well because it lets you see the next time you do something. What's your baseline and are you getting better? If not, what could you do to get better? Really, setting goals is a great habit to have. Moving forward. The next habit is the biggest habit and it's getting sleep. We are so wrapped up in this hustle world that if you aren't doing this and that and you aren't spending all your time on business, you aren't going to be successful. The thing is, if you aren't getting sleep, you aren't going to be successful because your brain is going to play probably be mush. I know if I don't get around seven to eight hours, I pretty much can't function. I can't think, I can't focus. And so having a sleep habit is essential. Moving forward. So we've started to go to bed around 9 o', clock, but I'm hoping to maybe push this back just a little bit more. If I plan to start getting up at five to work out, I want to make sure I have that chunk of eight hours of sleep to make sure I'm serving my body so I can serve my audience. Are you going to be incorporating any of these habits into your daily life? Let me know which one you're really focusing on right now down in the comments below.
