You're ready to kick off your brand new YouTube channel. What's taking you this long? But maybe you have a hundred ideas of what your first video should be. Or maybe you just have crickets. So in today's video, I'm going to give you nine video ideas you can use to get started on your channel today. Hi, my name is Trena and on this channel I help creative entrepreneurs like you get on YouTube to grow your business. I've been using YouTube in my business strategy for the past two years and I love the power that video has for my brand. So let's just jump right into the videos that you can start creating so you can see the power in your brand. The first video that I suggest you creating is your channel trailer. So it's important to have this channel trailer for your YouTube channel because new subscribers are going to see this channel trailer. So they find your video and they go to your channel. This video is going to play automatically. So it's really going to be important for you to pitch the value for them to subscribe so that they watch more of your content. I have a complete template on what you should say in that channel trailer. I'll link that video above and down in the description box so you know exactly what to say in that video. The next video idea that you should really focus on creating for your channel is tutorials. These types of videos will boost your authority because you are helping someone. You're showing them you know what you're talking about by walking them through a process. Whether that's a screen share tutorial or you know, you have your camera on your hands as you're walking through how to tie a tie or how to DIY a project. It also really helps you create that know like and trust factor with somebody because if they're struggling with something and they need a tutorial to get them through how to do it, you're going to be their lifesaver. The next video idea I have for you is to share your favorite tools. Especially in business. We really want to know what tools that you're using to streamline your business. Or if you are a mechanic, what are your favorite mechanic tools to have in your toolbox? Or if you are a bartender, what are your favorite bartending tools? So you can think of tools in completely different ways, like actual tools or software or things that you use in your business. The next video idea is list. People love lists. So think like five top ways to start a YouTube channel. Five top YouTube channel ideas, or maybe even seven ways to start Painting for a beginner. Those types of lists do great on YouTube. People love watching these. Another great idea is trend videos. So is there anything coming up in your industry that is trending? So if you are an Instagram specialist and Instagram comes out with a new press release, a lot of people are going to be searching like what's the new Instagram feature? And if you have a video, your video is more likely to show up on Google. So you could get more views and subscribers that way as well. Plus, it kind of shows you as an industry leader because you're talking about these new trends as they come out. The next video idea is mistakes. And people love hearing mistakes. Every time I do a YouTube mistakes video here on my channel, I get a lot of feedback. I get a lot of thank yous because nobody wants to make mistakes. And if you can help people learn from your mistakes, they're going to be super appreciative of you. And that's really going to help you build your know like and trust factor. So what are some mistakes that you can share so other people can avoid them? I Another video idea is how to again, these videos are really going to help solidify you as an expert. You're going to help people, you're going to build your know like and trust factor. So how to start a YouTube channel, how to start an Instagram account, how to start painting. What are some how to videos that you could create. These would be great on your channel. The next video idea is to go to some similar channels as your similar niches and look at their popular videos. Why you want to see this is because this is what their audience is responding. So you know it's a good topic. And what could happen to you is you could show up in their suggested videos. Now you don't want to copy what they're saying. You don't want to, you know, word for word say what they're saying, but put your own spin on the topic. This way you could piggyback off a similar traffic to their video and just help you grow your channel. The next video idea is to interview someone. I'm definitely thinking about doing this maybe coming up in the future, bringing experts onto my channel and interviewing them. This brings new subject matter experts to my channel to help people watching. And it's something that I could potentially turn into a podcast. Now, before you think about repurposing content, if you're putting it on YouTube, I want you to focus on it being YouTube content first. So you want to make sure that video is ready for YouTube, and then you take that and repurpose it to podcasts. Do not just take a podcast and throw it up on YouTube. It doesn't work. What works on YouTube is a little bit different than podcasts, but what you could do is take the audio recording from your YouTube video and put it on a podcast. Those are nine video ideas that I've got for you. If you're just starting on YouTube, which one do you think you're going to do?
