All right, let's get real. There are some days where you have absolutely no motivation and you just want to stay in bed. So in this video, I'm going to give you nine ways that I get re motivated so I don't just crawl back in bed. Hi, my name is Trina and I started this channel to help creative entrepreneurs like you get on YouTube to grow. Now, if you're new here and you have not subscribed, make sure you click that subscribe button down below and hit that little bell icon so that you can be notified every single time I post new videos to help you. Now, since this video is all about getting motivated and stopping that procrastination, let's just jump right into these tips so you can get them and get motivated. Okay? So the first tip I have for you is to do small steps. Okay? This definitely resonates when it comes to goals. So you have this giant goal of getting a thousand YouTube subscribers. But let's break that down into little chunks, right? How many subscribers do you want this month? Maybe you just want to get 30 this month. And so when you hit that at the end of that month, you're excited, you're motivated, instead of thinking, oh, it's only 30, I've got 970 more to go. Why am I doing this? Right, by having these little tiny steps, you get really excited when you hit them and you hit them more frequently to keep you motivated. Tip number two is to prepare in advance. Now, this just means preparing for your day, your week, your business ahead of time. It's not good to fly by the seat of your pants and come to work one day and think, okay, today I'm going to do, oh, look, somebody just sent me an Instagram message. Oh, look, somebody just sent me a message on Facebook. See how it can easily get distracted. You if you have a game plan going into every single day and you've planned in advance, you know when it comes time to sit at your desk, what you've got to get into. And it gets you much more motivated and focused a lot faster. Tip number three is to have habits. I've talked about habits quite a few times here on my channel. I will link to a playlist up above. But it's really important to have these habits, whether it's a morning habit or an evening habit or whether it's, you know, block scheduling that I'm going to talk about a little bit more. All about having these built in habits. So you know what it is you've got to do. So you can stay motivated. Because one of the biggest ways you're going to get unmotivated is not knowing what you should do and just kind of being like, where's Netflix at? Right? Tip number four is to categorize your to do's and your must dos. So your to dos are the things you would like to get done. Say, go get your nails done, update your Instagram bio. Those types of things must do's are, gotta take the kids to basketball practice, gotta get this client report out by Tuesday at 10am Those are the must dos. If you can categorize those and really focus on the must do's, then you can start to see where you can put the other to do's in throughout your day. This is just going to help you stay more motivated again, because this is your plan. This allows you to know exactly what you've got to do to get things done. Okay, this one is a really fun idea, but place bets, all right? Place a bet on yourself. Say, okay, I bet you can't do 21 days of working out. And if you do, you finally get to buy those pair of jeans that you've really been wanting, right? Challenge yourself, write it down, put it in your office or on your bathroom mirror. So you see that challenge you pose to yourself. So you have this bet that you're going for, right? It just keeps you more motivated. You're like, yes, I really want those jeans or yes, I really want to go get my hair done or get a pedicure. This just keeps the motivation going. You have like your eye on the prize, right? Tip number six is to plan. Now, I talked a little bit about this earlier, but you've got to have a plan. With no plan, it's basically like you're running a race with a blindfold on. Okay? If you have your month planned, if you have your week planned, if you have your day planned, you'll be much more motivated because there's no thinking or guessing what the next step is. You know, this is next, this is next. And if I do this, I'm going to get to my end result, my goal, my income level, my client roster is filled. So that's. You really got to have that plan in place to stay motivated. This is a biggie and it is my tip number 7. Need to plan a few tasks every day that you want to do. Here's what happens to me when I tend to become unmotivated. I go ahead and I jam pack my calendar. I think, oh, I can totally do this. I know I got this But I don't realize is some of the tasks take longer than expected and I only get half the things done on that list. Now this list is staring at me like, you're a failure. And I start to think to myself, why do I even do this? I'm just gonna go watch Netflix because I can't get anything done. So. So by just kind of planning your big three, I know a client of mine likes to have a big three for the day. Just having three major tasks that you want to get done that day and plan that out for the week. So if you get three done on Monday and you have some extra time, you can work on tasks from Tuesday. Right? Okay. This is another huge one for me that I struggle with a lot. And it's tip number eight. It's to declutter whatever it is that is cluttered in your life. Clean it up. Now, I don't mean take a whole day to do it because that's a great way to become unmotivated, but do something small at a time. One of the best ways for me to get motivated is just to turn on some music and organize this office because it can get pretty cluttered with lunch plates, snack plates, notebooks, pens, papers, post its everywhere. So if I just take a half hour, clean up my office, get it decluttered, I instantly feel more motivated. I've also started doing this in smaller parts in my house too, with my closet, the pantry, the refrigerator. It just gets you motivated again. It clears out your space and you just feel a lot better. The ninth tip I have for you to stay motivated is to find an accountability buddy. Now this was a game changer for me last year when I found a couple accountability partners. It just allowed you to really stay motivated. And when you hit that slump, you talk to them and you got out of that slump and they gave you some ideas or they gave you some positive reinforcement and it instantly pulls you out of that. I want to stay in bed and do nothing all day. So with my accountability partners, we generally meet once a week. And whether we co work where we each say what we're going to work on that hour that we're co working, or whether we just mastermind back and forth on something that we're struggling with or if we're having a hard time, accountability partners have been the biggest upswing in my motivation. Now if you would like to have a motivation partner, let me know down in the comments below. And I would definitely love for each other to pair up and just find somebody to reach out to when we are filling that motivational slump. Okay, question of the day for you. How do you get motivated again when you're struggling with that lack of motivational juice? Let me know in the comments below.
