AI Video Ideas vs Human Creativity Which Wins for Small YouTubers?

Trena Little compares AI-generated video ideas from ChatGPT and Vidiq's AI coach against human creativity for YouTube growth. AI tends toward generic content that misses the "ready to buy" audience, while understanding your specific viewers is what makes people actually binge your videos and drives real results.
You cannot use AI to build a YouTube strategy and I'm going to show you why. Not in this video. But there are ways you can use AI to speed up your YouTube process. If you're thinking YouTube just takes so much time, I can help you speed up the process, but it is not going to build you the right YouTube strategy. With Chat GTP and the AI coach on Vidiq, you could start to think that wow, I could build a YouTube strategy, I could just plug in, come up with 50 video ideas for me and you could start creating YouTube YouTube videos. But it doesn't quite work like that. You have to. If you're going to use AI to build any type of content for your business, need to put in some elbow grease and teach that AI who your person is. Because I Now listen, I am no AI expert by a long shot. In fact, Brittany Long is the go to for my AI needs and she also helps my coaching clients inside my program with AI and teaches them how to use AI more effectively. And I will link her copy club down below. But you have to train AI to think like your person. Otherwise if you just plug stuff in, it's going to sweep the Internet and just bring in some generic stuff. And that's why when you start to use AI like Chat GTP and when I say I honestly I'm referencing chatgpt and some of you have complained that I say chat GPT wrong.
I'm sorry again, I'm not an AI.
Person, I'm a business and YouTube person. So apologies if I don't say chatgpt right? Get over it. You have to be able to train AI to think like your audience and the only way you can do that is keep feed reading it as much information as possible. And this could take a while, right? So that when you're plugging in questions in Chat GPT it gives you the best answers back. Let me show you a few examples.
I started a new chat here on chat GPT and I just put I want to create a YouTube channel for online business owners. The goal of the channel is to attract and convert viewers into my YouTube coaching program. Can you create eight video series that has six videos each in each series for this YouTube channel and you can see it does an okay job. So series one is starting your online business building your first website. Series 2 Digital marketing essentials Email marketing strategy for beginners. It provides very general beginning video ideas. Now if you've watched any of my content here, I will tell you that this is not attracting your ready to.
Buy audience because most of these video ideas are beginner and pretty much generic. That's why I created my live workshop Profit Purview. During that workshop, I talk about the importance of distinguishing between the difference of your ready to Buy viewer and your expert Esther. So expert Esther is your ready to buy viewer and this beginner content will attract beginner Betty. Beginner Betty is just getting started. She's not ready to buy a solution yet. She's not ready to put her money.
Where her mouth is.
So when you create a video like Email Marketing Strategies for Beginners, what are the type of people that are going to watch that video? So let's take this in a real life example. If you are somebody like one of our clients, Ashlyn Carter of Ashlyn writes, you are trying to attract clients who want to invest in your five figure agency services. Do you think the people who are willing to invest in a five figure agency service are searching or looking for videos? Email Marketing Strategies for Beginners. Yeah. No. Another thing to even think about here is beginner content. Anybody can create, right? So beginner content is more competitive. And if you're just starting your YouTube channel, it's going to take you a lot of authority on YouTube to break out in these competitive niches. You want to think about how are you going to carve your own path on YouTube with a very particular niche, your expert Esther niche, and create content for them? Because not a lot of people are going to be creating content for expert esters. So when you show up, they will easily be able to find your video and be like, wow, this person is for me. I've not seen this topic talked about before. Let's talk about another advanced topic that AI provided us. Cutting edge social media strategies. How generic? Most people who are either looking for a social media strategy or looking for an agency to handle their social media media strategy are looking for a course, are probably looking for a specific solution. They're not looking for a generic social media strategy.
Right.
They understand they could not possibly manage all the social media out there. They're probably looking for videos more specifically around a real strategy or a LinkedIn strategy or even a YouTube strategy. People who are serious about buying or working with somebody one on one are looking for a specific solution because they've already done the general stuff. They've already seen what can and cannot work for them and they want something very specific. Okay, but can you feed ChatGPT enough information to make it think like you're ready to buy viewer? Yes, you absolutely can. And I've tested It. But I will tell you, it has taken me about five months of putting in information into this ChatGPT chat just to get it to think close to my Ready to Buy viewer.
So I said, can you update these video ideas to ensure viewers who are interested in using YouTube marketing in their strategy will find my videos? Because that's what I focus on. And again, it's okay, right? Launching your business on YouTube, starting strong. Creating your business's YouTube channel. Creating your first YouTube video. Very general, basic topics, right? My audience is not looking for these basic topics, right?
So when we look at the first playlist here, I already have a problem. It's focusing on SEO, right? But SEO on YouTube is such a minimal piece of success or how you're going to grow on YouTube. So there is no way I want to spend an entire series of videos talking about something that won't really move the needle on your YouTube channel. There are a lot of other things that you could put your time into other than SEO. They're going to make a bigger difference in your channel. And if you're wondering what those are and you want to see how you can start building a strategy for your Ready to Buy viewer, grab a seat in my next workshop. Profit review. This is literally the exact strategies and the process that I use to build strategies for my six and seven figure clients inside of my agency. Like I'm giving it all away inside a profit per view. This isn't a lame webinar. This is literally how to do it. You can go to trina little.com ppv to grab a seat inside of the Next Life workshop that I'm hosting. Plus, at the end of the workshop I will be doing a Q and A. So any questions you have about your particular niche and your content and you're ready to buy viewer, I will answer for you.
I wanted to get more specific here, so I said can you update these video ideas to ensure viewers who are interested in using YouTube marketing in their strategy will find my videos because that's what I focus on. And again, it's okay, right? Launching your business on YouTube, Starting Strong. Creating your business's YouTube channel. Creating your first YouTube video. Very general basic topics, right? My audience is not looking for these basic topics, right? I will say you can start to get some information here from ChatGPT to make it quicker. So I asked it to create a detailed video script. Take series one and write a detailed script for each video and provide thumbnail ideas. Now, when I said detailed, I was expecting a little bit more than what it provides right here. So it's going to take more time putting into ChatGPT to build these. Whereas if you know your audience, you know what you're going to say. It does give which I think is helpful thumbnail idea. So a vibrant, a vibrant background with bold text overlaying saying start your YouTube journey. Which kind of lame but it is giving you a starting point. So again these scripts are very generic. They're just giving you basic ideas. I did say take video four and go into more detail with the script. Make sure the script is engaging and has an attention grabbing hook. So this is what its response to attention grabbing hook. Are you ready to see your YouTube videos soar to new heights? Today we're unlocking secrets to skyrocketing your videos reach across YouTube. Stay tuned because you're about to become a master at optimizing your videos for maximum visibility. Right, like that's not how we talk. That's not how you're going to connect with your audience. So again you're only going to get surface level stuff here with YouTube to speed it up you need to make sure you're creating this content for your clear, ready to buy viewer.
Again, when we look at this information or these ideas that it spit out to me, there's an entire series that I don't even focus on YouTube advertising essentials. I just focus primarily on YouTube or organic. I'm not putting any money into YouTube here and I'm seeing results consistently and constantly. I'm not about to put money where I don't need to put money when I can get YouTube to promote me for free if I'm just doing what they ask of me. The other thing when we're looking at these series ideas that AI doesn't take into consideration is creating a binge session with these series. YouTube loves any channel that can get people to watch more than one video. And the best way to do that is to create a series of videos that build on each other. So somebody watches the first video in your series and at the end they've got a question and that next video that you tee up for them answers that question. Then at the end of the second video they've got a question and you have that next third video that answers that question. It's like you're getting inside their mind and all of a sudden they've watched like five, six, seven, eight videos from you because you've anticipated what their next question is going to be. And that is how you make money. Get clients sales from YouTube because I can't tell you how many coaching clients that I've talked to.
That said, you know what?
I binge watch so many of your videos and that's when I realized you're who I want to with. That is basically how I get the majority of my coaching clients to this day is because I'm creating content for the binge session. Now let's talk about prompts, because a lot of people have prompts out there and say they are the answer to ChatGPT and how you can make it work best for you. So I plugged in some prompts. Let's see how that turned out.
Okay, just to show you that you can't AI your way to a YouTube strategy, I want to plug in some prompts that are recommended for ChatGPT when it comes to YouTube. So we're going to start a new chat here. And here's one of the products prompt. So think like I want course creators and coaches. How can I use Chat GPT to get more course sales and clients from YouTube? Because that's what I want. Right. And so we're going to see what it tells us. Okay, so first up it says content creation optimization. It says I can use video script writing. We saw how that worked, right? Not the best SEO optimization. SEO such as small sliver of YouTube success. So kind of content ideas. Remember, we need to think about our ready to buy audience, not a generic audience. And we also need to think about what we are sharing in that content that's going to get them to binge watch video. After video audience engagement, you could do Q and A session comment analysis. Use Chat GTP to help you analyze comments on your videos for feedback. Now, I feel that being kind of helpful and I also see this being helpful. But when it comes to literally building the meat of your YouTube strategy, the content piece of it, it's. It's going to be hard to use it to pull out what you need. I'm going to grab another prompt to see if we can dig a little bit more. All right, so help me brainstorm and identify what to talk about on my YouTube channel for. And we're going to plug in course creators and coaches to focus their content strategy on social platforms with quickly expiring content or pay for their content to be seen. Right. Like Facebook ads. Let's see what it produces with this prompt. Okay, let's look what it spit out. Now, I won't say these ideas are very bad. They're a good starting point. Right? Evergreen content creation.
The art of evergreen videos.
Now this would need to be specifically to YouTube, because my audience wants to start using YouTube. So I'm going to need to say evergreen YouTube videos, right? A deep dive into what makes content evergreen on YouTube and how to brainstorm, create case studies. All right, YouTube SEO mastery.
Come on.
It really loves this video, right? Building organic traffic. Now, this doesn't even call out YouTube.
This is a video idea that could.
Be building organic traffic on TikTok or Instagram, right? So we cannot just use. I think this is clear. We cannot just use AI to build a YouTube strategy that's going to make the algorithm happy by getting people to binge watch videos and also increasing your authority by getting people to watch more than one video. You have to actually put the elbow work or the elbow grease work into building a strategy with your knowledge and using a framework that is proven to work like I do inside of the profitable keyword framework.
Now, yes, these topics ended up being a lot better. But remember, the number one priority over on YouTube is binging, getting people to watch more than one video. And this is only a possible six videos. And yes, you can start to feed it some more information, but wouldn't it just be easier to take like a day and build out an entire year's worth of content knowing that you've created all of those video ideas for your ready to buy viewer? And who wants to sit down and plug in all this information every time you need to create a. I don't have time for that. I know the kids are at a birthday party today and I need to batch out five videos. And I can't just come in here and think about one video at a time, right? I need to maximize the time that I have available to have my hair and makeup done in a quiet house. And that's exactly what I will show you inside of my workshop. Profit per view. Now, there is one current tool that works better for planning out specifically YouTube content. And it takes your YouTube channel and your YouTube channel data into consideration when it pumps out its information. But you actually need to have content videos on your YouTube channel so they have this data to analyze to give you more specific video ideas. And this is Vidiq's AI coaching and I will say I've used it. In fact, I'm using it for this series of videos that I've done right now. But I'm using it to help me streamline what I should be talking about in these videos specific to what my audience on YouTube is interested in. I'm using it to help come up with title ideas and thumbnail concepts. I have not used it to come up with this particular video idea because I did an entire YouTube strategy build out about four months ago and I still have multiple series planned out based on the research I did for my Ready to Buy viewer. Now I am thinking about doing a specific video on how I've been using Vidiq AI Coach. If that's a video you would like to see from me, pop in the comments below. Vidiq Video in anything specific about AI you have questions about. Your biggest priority when it comes to YouTube is making sure you're getting the right people to your videos in the next video that is on your screen. Right now. I'm breaking down three reasons why no one is watching your videos or you can't even get anybody to watch your videos. Click that video now to see how you can improve your audience retention and get more of the right views on your videos right now.
