Hi. In this live stream, I'm going to be taking volunteers to review their YouTube channel. I'm going to go ahead and look at them and let those creators know what they're doing well, how they can grow their YouTube channel, and some things they might need to stop doing if they want to see more views and more subscribers on their channel. So if that sounds like something you would like to find out for your channel, go ahead and let me know. You would like your channel reviewed by saying, I volunteer in the comment section and maybe you'll be one of the lucky few that I get a free channel review. These channel reviews I generally do with clients for around $149 an hour and you're getting it for free from me during this live stream. Now, if we haven't met before, my name is Trina Little and I'm a YouTube strategist who helps creative entrepreneurs get on YouTube to grow their business. I basically work a lot of photographers, copywriters, social media strategists, and I've even worked with multiple niches like toy channels, kid channels. What other niches have I been in? Family vloggers. I've done the whole gist. I've done a lot of different niches. So don't worry if you don't think that your channel would work on YouTube. I might just have a strategy that works for you. So let me see who is on here. Let me know if you're watching. Hello, cozy girl. Hello, generation Calm. Hello, Alejandro Rico. Thank you guys so much for being here. I'm so excited. So we the cozy girl, she wants one. And generation Calm. Awesome. Let me know if anybody else jumps on here who wants a channel review. We're gonna see how much time we have today. Now, before I jump in, I want to let you know if you're struggling with confidence on camera or you're struggling with confidence with your video equipment, setup, editing. I am hosting a free challenge starting on Monday all about find your camera confidence. Right? So you see the little new saying I have up on my board behind me. So if you want to sign up for this challenge, just go to trina little.com forward/challenge. You can sign up. You'll start getting emails on Monday. The way the reason why it's so important to be signed up is because you're going to be getting these little homework assignments that seriously only lasts about five to ten minutes to do. But you're going to be told what to do and how to post it or how to complete it to win something. So Every day next week, there's going to be a daily giveaway over in my Facebook group, but you have to be part of the challenge and you have to know what your homework is so that you can enter to win this. All the. All the giveaways are going to be announced at 8pm Eastern Standard Time tomorrow. So I mean Eastern, 8pm Eastern Standard Time every night next week. So make sure if you really want to boost your camera confidence, you really want to boost your equipment and editing confidence, make sure you join this challenge again. It starts on Monday, so you want to make sure you're in on it. Right now, I just need your name and email address. So if you go to treatal.com challenge, just pop your name and email in there and I'll get you on the list and you'll get some extra information on how to really take this challenge to the next level. So with that being said, it looks like I'm going to pop over to the Cozy Girl first. So let me pull up her channel. If you have questions for me while I'm going through here, feel free to pop them in the comments section. And also, if you haven't shared this yet, make sure you go ahead and share it over on Facebook or on Twitter to let other people know if this is helpful to you. Right. If they're starting a YouTube channel as well. Well, and they need some help, too, because even if I don't do your YouTube channel, you're going to learn a lot of valuable information here. So I got my screen share. So here we go with the Cozy Girl. So right off the bat, the most important part of your YouTube channel is going to be your banner. And while you have the name up there, you need to have what your channel is about. What value do you bring? Um, what videos are you sharing? Why should somebody subscribe to you? So that's definitely something that I would add. I mean, you have 4,000 subscribers. That's fantastic. And some of these views are getting some great views. I love that. But to take your channel to the next level, definitely decide what value are you bringing to your viewers? And put that up here. I would also customize the layout of your channel or add some more playlists. So right now, when somebody comes to your channel, all they're seeing are these uploads. So what I suggest doing is you can go. There's usually like a little cogwheel right here that lets you customize the layout of your channel or even add playlists. So I would go and add. Let me see. So Again, with your playlist, I would definitely create some playlists around what value. So these are basically categories. You don't want to have categories, you want to have value enticing titles so that people watch your playlist. So let me go to your videos here and see. So I don't, I don't speak your native language. So maybe a title, a playlist title for you could be like the best ways to enjoy summer. And then you could add, you know, summer essential must haves. Maybe if you have a vlog about your summer, if you are going to create videos on the DIY organizer ideas, you would have that as a playlist. But I think right now, your channel, I mean, it's doing well. But for you to stand out, you've got to pick what is your niche, who are you targeting? Because right now you have organization, you have halls, you have cooking, you have makeup reviews. So these are all kind of over, all over the place. And so for you to really grow a channel quickly with the right people, you got to pick what you're standing for. So are you going to talk all about organization? Are you going to talk all about nail art? So what happens is you can't be something for everybody. You have to be that, okay? So you can't be something for everyone or you end up being no 1 for everyone. So you've got to have a clear niche for who you are serving. So for me here on my channel, I'm serving business owners, creative business owners who want to grow their business on YouTube. While, yes, I may be able to get other people like you who don't have a particular business, you wanting to learn more about YouTube. But my niche, my expertise is helping businesses grow a YouTube channel to help them grow their business. So what is that value you can bring? So, like, I'm not sure if you know Laura DIY on YouTube, but she, when she was growing her channel, she focused on just DIY projects, okay? DIY everything. She didn't do vlogs and beauty tutorials and all of that. She just focused on DIY things. So when you are starting your channel, you've got to figure out who are you speaking to, what is your audience wanting. I'm going to click over here real quick to see what questions we have. Yes, I totally lack confidence while vlogging. I'm so nervous. That's totally fine. Do what you're comfortable with and you'll get better. You'll start to get better the more you do it. Honestly, if any of you watch my very first Videos on my mom channel. Total wreck. And the thing is this, this helps you too. With my mom Channel, I was trying to reach all moms. What I didn't realize was I wanted to reach new moms who were struggling with balancing their health and taking care of their kids. And so I didn't do that, clearly. And so that's what I learned to shift, to grow my channel. That's who I want to target. I'm not just targeting new moms, right? I'm targeting these new moms who are trying to balance taking care of themselves by eating healthy and exercising, but also having time for their family. So that's how you can start the niche down. That is the audience that's going to find you, and that's the audience that's going to watch more of your videos, watch more time, and it's ultimately more valuable to you. So cozy girl, let me know if that helps you. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments here. I'm going to pop over to Generation Calm channel and give her some feedback. But then I'll be back in here again for more question and answer type session. So let me go ahead and pull up Generation Calm. I'm going to go ahead and share my screen with you all. Again, leave questions as we go through these because I'm going to be answering them all here in just a minute. Generation. Oh, cute channel banner. Generation Calm. Tap into the power of relaxation. I like that. So what's the value? What are you going to get out of the power of relaxation? Is it a clear mind? Is it more productivity? Is it we're tapping into the power of relaxation because. So really think about it that way. What's the reason we're tapping into relaxation? Is it because we're stressed out? Is it because we burnout? Is it because we're overwhelmed? I think you really need to clearly define that. As far as what, why do we need to tap into the power of relaxation? Okay, so thumbnails. I don't know if I necessarily would recommend these long graphics only because they start to look similar, right? Like these two look really similar. And the only reason why I point that out is because then your audience might think that they already watched one of these videos so they don't watch another one. And you don't want your thumbnails to look so similar that people think they've already watched them. Right. You need them to stand out somehow. So I feel like this block of color right there really just makes the, the thumbnails look too similar. What are your thoughts? I want to hear what you think. Do you think they look similar when they're, when they're here? Now, obviously these stand out. I like these colors here. But then again, these look very similar as well. Only because, again, I don't want somebody saying they watch this video and then all of a sudden they see this video pop up and they're like, oh, I already watched that one, I think. But these are great. That's a great playlist title. Overcome your driving anxiety. The only thing I would do is maybe add just a little bit more to really propose that value proposition. Right? Overcome your driving anxiety so you can finally take that road trip or you can finally stop depending on somebody to drive you. So why are they wanting to overcome their driving anxiety? What will that do for them once they overcome their driving anxiety? Really think about that extra piece of the puzzle when it comes to pitching the value. Right. Again, same here. What is the value? So it's so hard now because there's so much content on YouTube, which is okay, you just have to understand how to stand out. So instead of just having interest me, I've been here, I've done this as well. Generic title like how to deal with driving anxiety. What's the value? You can pitch in that. So deal with driving anxiety so you can finally go to the beach on your own or go to the movies on your own or whatever it is that's really going to make it stand out when it's up against a bunch of different videos that say how to deal with driving anxiety. So even that's how to deal with. So even if we go here, how can you make your video stand out? So these are all talking about how to overcome anxiety while driving. So what can you say in your. In your title to make it look different than everybody else's? Right? They're all saying the same things. How to overcome driving fear. So could you say something like overcome driving anxiety so you can go to the movies alone or you can finally take that road trip you've been dreaming of. So what are those types of value proposed titles that you could do? Because that's what's going to make you stand out. Because everybody has a video here on how to overcome driving anxiety. So you want yours to stand out in addition to the thumbnail, Right? So a lot of these, like that one grabs my attention. That one grabs my attention. This one is a little bit more difficult because you see that driving anxiety tips blends in. Like the color isn't bright enough. So when you're doing your research on what videos you want to do. Come here to YouTube search and see what your quote unquote competition is and what they're doing. A lot of people are sitting in cars, they're looking anxious, they're looking scared. So how can you do that but also stand out more with text or overlays that stand out because you did do this? I feel like I can't necessarily tell you're in a car right here because it's so close to you. And then you put this stop sign in the photo where it shows driving. Same here. So that's some suggestions. Just think about how you can stand out by looking at the competition or the other people that are doing video similar to you. Want to jump in here and see what questions that we have? Cozy girl understands what I'm saying. Fantastic. Please do a separate video on how to push ourselves from negative comment. Negative comments are tough, but you gotta. You can either delete them or you can realize, no, they're wasting their time commenting on you, your videos. Like there's obviously something that they aren't proud of. They're probably don't have the confidence to be on video like you. And so they. They're jealous. Right. So that's how I like to think of negative comments. Like you're doing something maybe they want to do and they don't have the confidence or the power to do it. And so that's how I would look at negative comments. Generation Calm hadn't thought of the reason why. To tap into the power. Yes. So you always got to think about your what and your why. That's your value proposition of your channel and that's what all your content will filter through. What is your what? What is your why? Yeah. Oh, you said your name was Alex. So Alex says they do make them look too similar. I personally don't like when channels do that to all their thumbnails. I love the banner. Yes. And I do think the banner is fantastic. If you could just like put one more phrase or a few more words to really say why we need to tap into the power of relaxation. Maybe it's get off of your phone and tap into the power of relaxation. Or maybe it's, you know, finally get over, stop feeling overwhelmed by tapping into the power of relaxation. Or maybe it's sleep better with the power of relaxation. Right. What is the real value? Because you've got to hone in on that niche if you want to really attract your people. Alex says, I'm going to take a Note of your channel, by the way, because I'm such an anxious person. Fantastic. I'm glad you guys found each other generation. Oh thank you. I'm glad you got a lot today. I'm sorry I haven't been here live G channel audits, we're on vacation and just the times aren't panning out. And I'm also been planning for my five day challenge which starts on Monday. Like I said earlier in the the live here, if you want to join that, it's five days to really build your confidence not only on camera but with editing and YouTube as well. You can get your name on the list@trinalittle.com forward slash challenge. And like I said, you're going to get daily homework assignments. This will only last about five to ten minutes a day. And then when you submit that homework assignment, you're entered to win a giveaway. And I'm having a giveaway every single day of the week next week for those that complete their homework assignment. So instead of just a little gold star sticker, I'm actually giving some things away and I mentioned that earlier in the video. So I just want to thank all of you for being here today. I should be back here again next week. I think I'm going live at 2:00pm Eastern Standard Time. So today was a little later because I was had six phone calls today so I'm starting to get tired of talking. But next week at 2:00pm Eastern Standard Time I will be doing channel reviews again. So if you want to update some things that I shared with you to fix and you want to come back and see if you can get selected again for me to check over your channel, feel free to do that. Make sure you hit the bell icon here because that will like notify your phone as soon as I go live. So you can make sure you're here to volunteer right off the bat so that I can select your channel to review again. Thank you all so much. Don't forget to subscribe. Like comment. You know the drill here on YouTube and I appreciate you being here with me today. I hope you have a great rest of the Thursday and you have a great weekend coming ahead. Bye.
