What is a brand style guide? Does your business even have one? Should your business have one? Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Just the Tips with Trena. And today I have my friend Jenna Redfield from Jenna Redfield Designs here to tell you all about a brand style guide and why it's important for your business to have one. And if your business doesn't have one, how you can create one. So take it away, Jenna.
Hi everyone, my name is Jenna Redfield. I'm a branding photographer and videographer from Minneapolis. And for my one minute tip today, I'm going to share with you some tips about building a brand style guide. Now, a style guide is super important for a brand. It really shows the colors and the fonts that you're going to use for your brand in all of the promotional materials and blog posts, images, and just overall color and design. Now, there are a few different ways to make a style guide. There are two options that I would recommend going down. There's the DIY route where you could use free software like frontify.com to create a style guide. Or you can go a little bit more expensive route which is to hire a designer. However, they do have a lot more experience and do it on a regular basis. So they may come up with something if you're not a designer that might help your brand more than doing it yourself. So those are the two options that I have for building a branding guide. It's really important for consistency in your brand. So that's my one minute tip.

So making sure you have that brand style guide to refer to while you're doing these things is so important.
