Do you ever land on somebody's Instagram or on their website and that person has all these beautiful pictures of them, whether working at their desk or at a coffee shop or working with other people? This is called brand photography. And in today's video, I brought on an expert to talk to you about brand photography and whether or not you need it for your business right now. Hey, guys, my name is Trena and welcome to another episode of Just the Tips. In today's video, we're talking brand photography. And I'm just going to throw it on over to Kristin who, who's a brand photography expert to walk you through what it is and when you know if you need it or not.
Hey there. I'm Kristen from KristinFormilia. Co and I am a brand photographer and I want to talk to you today about what the heck that means. So thank you, Trina, for having me on your channel. Let's get right to it. So you might have heard brand photography as a buzzword around. You might have seen it on people's Instagrams or in Facebook groups and not known what it really is. So we're going to walk through what it is. Brand photography are images personalized to you and your brand and they have a specific purpose of showing exactly what you do, how you help who you are and the personality behind your brand. And it's supposed to specifically resonate with the people that you're trying to reach. Your audience, your subscribers, your customers for your, your Etsy shop, your whoever your people may be that you're trying to connect with and build community with. Brand photos are supposed to show how you can specifically help those people, which is a game changer. And brand photography also capture the essence of what it feels like to work with you. And these are personalized images that you can use on your social media, on your website, in your email list, anywhere you can think of. You can use these brand photos that are unique to you. And why I prefer them over stock photos is because no one else has them. This isn't something that you can find on a site and download. It's something that nobody else is going to have. You won't see your brand photos on 10 other people's Instagram accounts and that's why it's so great. So why do we need brand photography? Why is this kind of photography important? Well, the bottom line is that people connect with people. You connect to, engage with, buy from real people, not businesses or, you know, online accounts with just a logo instead of a headshot of them. You want to buy from someone that you relate to, someone that you feel like you could be a friend with. And that's what brand photography does. It shows how you relate to the people you're trying to reach. Also, brand photography is important because it shows that you're professional and that the value that you provide is worth the investment. It really shows that you are a business owner who knows what they're doing and who has a consistent look and brand across all of their platforms. Which I'm sure you can see why that would be really important, especially as an online business owner when you are across multiple platforms. And brand photography, most importantly, is supposed to elicit an emotion. It's supposed to make people remember you because of how they felt looking at your photos and at your site and content. And you want to be remembered because in this online world, that's the best way to get people to come back. So I hope that you learned something from this.
