Content Creation STRESSES You Out? This Content Strategy Will Help

A business coach walks through how solo owners can stop stressing about content creation. Plan quarterly, identify your audience, know your purpose, and schedule dedicated time. The video also promotes a private training on consistent monthly revenue.
When I'm having conversation with business owners who are, you know, a team of one, and they're trying to hit that consistent monthly income, the biggest thing that they're stressing over is creating content. Let me know in the comments below. Say me if that is totally you. You're stressing over how to manage creating consistent content, what to create, and just like how to get it out there. Because I have been there as well. When I was a team of one, the first four years in my business, I. I was kind of all over the place. But I want to share with you in this video specifically why you are currently failing at creating consistent content and what you can do to kind of steer that shit back around. So, one, it's not so overwhelming to figure out what to do, and two, you have a schedule and some type of consistency to implement into your business all by the end of this video. Hit that like button if that sounds just like what you need right now. Before I dive into this, I'm going to need you to commit right now to listening to the entire video. Because some of this stuff isn't the sexy side of content creation. It's not about the secret hacks or the secret tools or the templates or how to make this go faster. You have to really clearly understand everything I'm about to share with you. Even though it doesn't sound fun and it can be hard, but this is the only path to creating consistent content. Trust me, I've looked for the shortcuts, I've tried the hacks. They do not work unless you go through this entire process first. Deal. Because the very first thing I'm going to tell you you need to do to start making consistent content easier in your life is to know who you're talking to. And I have been having this conversation a lot with my members inside of Video Strategy Academy. But literally knowing who your target audience is, knowing who you are talking to, is going to make your life 100 times easier. Take me, for example. The first four years of my business, like I said, I was a team of one, and I didn't want to clear commit to who I was talking to. I thought I was niche enough by saying, you know, I'm, I'm talking to people who want to do YouTube, but I wasn't. I wanted to be talking to business owners using YouTube. And because I didn't get clear on that early enough, not only did my YouTube analytics just like not mesh well and kind of slowed my growth over there, but I couldn't clearly understand the Best content to create to get in front of the right people who wanted to hear my content. So you have got to take some time to sit down and think about who is this person you're speaking to. I'm not saying you need to get so detailed about, you know, what they wear, what their breakfast is, what scrunchie they put in their hair. Like you don't need to get that detailed. But you do need to understand what is the problems that are they having, what are they struggling with, what are the day to day things that they hate that you can help them with. Because then once you know that who figuring out what to actually say on social media is going to be easier. So it'll be much easier to be consistent. The next thing you got to do is know your why. Why are you creating content? Look, if you want to be a YouTuber, cool, be a YouTuber. But I'm going to tell you, you're not going to make a whole lot of Money on YouTube AdSense. You need to understand what is the ultimate why you are creating your content. Are you trying to get people to your one on one services to help make their life easier? Are you trying to get them to a digital product that' going to help make their life easier? Do you have a course that is going to solve that problem that they are having? Right? Really get into why you are creating this content. Because listen, I love creating content, don't get me wrong. But I'm not doing it for free because just making these YouTube videos and posting to Instagram is not going to help me buy those lunchables. My dang kids went for lunch, Right? So once you know who you are creating content for, you need to understand why you're creating content. And trust me, this is all going to make sense. This is all going to come together here. Just stay with me because I told you this isn't the sexy side right now. But it is the important side. Because if you do not have this, you can't have a sexy side of creating content. The next thing you've got to do to get you to creating consistent content is know your calls to action. Remember how I mentioned you need to have your why? Why are you creating this content? This ties into your call to action. Are you sending them to a lead magnet? Are you sending them to a webinar? Are you sending them to your course right? You need to have a call to action in your otherwise you're just creating free content. And like I said, I've got to buy some lunchables for my kids for lunch. Right. So once you know what your calls to action are going to be, and honestly, it really boils down to pretty much three calls to action. One call to action is to a freebie or a lead magnet that can help you build your list. One call to action is going to be to maybe something small. We talked about digital products in a video earlier this month. Something small that can help start generating revenue for you or. Or a call to action is to consume more of your content. That is a totally great call to action because you need to get people to know, like and trust you more. And the more they consume your content, the more they realize, oh, this person is awesome. Yes, I want to consume this person's content. Oh yes, I want her free stuff. Yes, I need her paid for stuff. All right, so this is kind of like the foundation. So we talked about who, why in your COD action. Because now we're going to move into this second part which maybe a little bit more sexier for you. And this is the strategy piece. Now I like to have a 90 day plan every single quarter. So January, February, March is a quarter. April, May, June is a quarter. July, August, September is a quarter, and October, November, December is a quarter. And I like to have a big picture idea of each quarter into what I'm promoting or selling. This doesn't need to be super advanced. I just look at my calendar each month and I say, okay, in April I want to promote a lead magnet. I want to grow my list in April, so I want to promote a lead magnet. In May I want to open Video Strategy Academy. So I'm going to promote Video Strategy Academy. And in June maybe I'm taking some time off and I want to work on my affiliate revenue stream. We talked about streams of income earlier. You can watch that video here. But just having an idea with each month what you want to focus on promoting is again going to help you create this content so much easier. So let's take for example if in April I am promoting my prep system, which is my self liquidating offer, it's $47, right? I know that I want to create a YouTube strategy revolving around my prep system. And if you've watched a couple of my videos around YouTube strategy, we talk about a firework approach where we have a core video that we then send people off of YouTube in that core video and where I'm sending them is to my prep system sales page. Then the following pieces of content or the following videos for that month are going to be spark videos. And the whole purpose of these spark videos is to make the YouTube algorithm happy. Because if I just posted videos on YouTube that constantly send people off of the platform, YouTube is going to bury my content and not show it to more people. So I need to create these spark videos that make YouTube happy. Because my call to action and their spark videos are to my core video that send people off of the platform to my prep system sales page. I know who my people are. They are timestrapped business owners trying to figure out how to get consistent with content. I know what my why is it is my prep system. That is why I'm creating my content. I'm trying to get people to my prep system. I know my call to action. So my core videos call to action is going to be to the prep system sales page and the following content that month is going to be to that core video. So now this allows me to see my hub content, which is YouTube. Here are my four videos for the four weeks in April. Now I can start pulling chunks and pieces out of that video. For Instagram content, for reels content for email newsletter content, for blog content. Right? Because I know what I'm talking about for this entire month. Because if you don't have a direction on what content you're talking about, it's not going to make sense to people. Like, there's no flow. And it's not going to help you grow your email list, make more money, get more clients. Which first of all, let me know if you're still watching, saying consistent content down in the comments so that I know you're still here. Because this last piece is how it's actually going to happen. You can do all the other things that I've talked about, but if you don't have this last piece, it ain't going to happen. The last part in creating consistent content is you have got to put time on your calendar to actually do it. Look, I put time on my calendar every single week to create content. Tuesdays for me are content creation days. Meaning these are the days I'm thinking about the titles of my videos. These are the days I'm thinking about what I'm posting on social media. I may be writing caption those days. I may be writing my video game plans. And then Wednesdays are video days for me. These are the days I know I got to get up and I got to do my hair and makeup because I am on video. But look, if I don't put these in my calendar, I'm going to schedule right over it. I'm going to book calls, I'm going to make plans. I'm not going to do it. You need to be putting time in your calendar every single month for this content creation system. And I know it can be hard to take time out to do this, so. But if you would love some accountability and you would love to have somebody to make you commit a day every single month to doing this content creation process, I want to invite you to a free private training that I'm hosting. This training is called how to hit consistent monthly revenue in your business.
