In this video, I'm going to show you how you can move your YouTube channel from a personal account to a brand account without using Google and without deleting your channel. Hi, my name is Trina. I am a YouTube strategist. And on this channel, I'm committed to helping you do YouTube better. Now, on my channel, a while ago I did this tutorial before Google was gone. But now that Google is gone, I'm going to show you how you can make the conversion from a personal account to a brand account real quickly. Before you do the move, I want you to understand that when you move from a personal to a brand account, you will lose your custom URL. Now, you can reach out to YouTube support to get that custom URL back, but you will initially lose it till you reach out to YouTube support. Second, you're going to lose all the comments that you made on your video. So the comments that other people made will stay. But if you reply to those people, your comments will be removed. All right, let's jump over to the computer and I will show you how to do this. Okay, so the first thing you're going to want to do is come up here into your settings. It's that little cogwheel. And then from here you want to go down to create a new channel. And that's going to take you directly to the brand account page and you're basically going to create a new channel. So since I'm using a test channel, I'm going to create a channel that says brand so I can see the difference. Then once you create it, you have a new YouTube channel. Now what you want to do is log into the first one that you had, your personal account, and move it over to the brand account. This is my personal one. And I am going to go into the advanced settings and and move it to a brand account now that I have created one. Alright, so go ahead and enter your password in and you'll want to look at this closely. Now it's going to say that you're moving your testing channel or your personal account to this new brand account. When you created your brand account, you created a new YouTube channel. So you need to delete that YouTube channel. But you want to make sure right Here it says 0 subscribers and no videos. That's the channel you want to delete. Make sure it does not have any subscribers or any videos before you hit the delete button. That's going to save you from deleting your channel that Maybe already has 100 210,000 subscribers on it. Once you hit delete, you're going to see that your personal account is now going to be moved over to your brand account. My testing account is my personal and now this is my brand account. I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to click Move channel. You just want to make sure that your now channel looks the same as your after move. You want to make sure the subscribers and the video numbers are all the same. When you hit your move channel, this is to remind you that you will lose your custom URL and that your icon will be updated across the board. So you're moving from your testing to your brand account. So you can see that I have a failed upload right here in my brand account that came from my personal account. So that proves everything was moved and we are good to go. You can also go in here to now your settings just to double check that everything was moved. And now you can add channel managers because you have a brand account. Now that you've moved your channel to a brand account, let's make sure you can hack the YouTube algorithm and get more views and subscribers. Check the video on your screen right now where I'm going to walk you through the three things that you need to do to make YouTube recommend more of your content. I'll see you over there.
