Let me know down in the comment section if you are currently using YouTube in your business strategy or if you want to start using YouTube in your business strategy. What's stopping you? Let's discuss down in the comment section below. Now let's just jump right into number one. The first step you want to do is to make sure you have your channel branded. You want to make sure you have your channel banner set up, your channel icon, your trailer, your about section. All these little pieces that make your channel look professional will make more people want to subscribe to you. If you don't look professional, no one's going to subscribe to you. If you want to make sure that you have everything that you need to make sure you grab my YouTube channel checklist, I'll put a link right up here. It's the 10 steps you need to take to make sure your channel is set up to look professional. Tip number two is to have a YouTube strategy. So what does that even mean? You need to know exactly what kind of videos you are creating and who you are creating them for. That way people will keep coming back for more. If somebody is a business owner and wants to learn how to use social media, then then focus on social media tips, whether That's Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube. Start creating videos for that specific niche if that's the person you ultimately want to sell. For now, if you are a social media strategist, you're going to make sure you're creating videos on social media. You're not going to create videos on how I clean my house or how I make dinner. You want to focus on why people are coming to your channel and what they're going to get out of it. That's going to be your YouTube strategy. If you know who your audience is, you'll be able to create the videos that they want to see so they subscribe and keep coming back. Tip number three is to do your research. If you watch any of my videos here? You know I preach, preach, preach about researching your video ideas. You need to validate that video idea in the YouTube search bar and Google Search, Google Keyword Planner. Even using TubeBuddy, these tools are going to be able to tell you if people are actually searching the video idea that you have. And it's going to make the difference from getting your video a couple views to a couple hundred views. So research your video idea before you even create it. Tip number four is to ask. Have a call to action. I ask you guys in every single video to please subscribe. You need to ask them. They don't know you want them to subscribe unless you tell them. Also ask your social media followers, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook. Well, maybe not Pinterest, but Facebook, your email subscribers. Let people know you have a YouTube channel and that they can subscribe. Subscribe to it. If they don't know or they don't know you want them to subscribe, they're not going to do it. So tell people. Subscribe to my YouTube channel. Tip number five is the biggest one. And you've heard me talk about this too. Be consistent. You need to stick to uploading at least one video a week. Think about it this way. You upload a new video and you get two new subscribers. Awesome. But then you don't upload another video for a month later. You just wasted three weeks of being able to get two more subscribers every week if you posted a new video. So the more content you're putting out there, the more opportunity you have for people to find you to gain more subscribers. So at least upload one video a week. YouTube also appreciates people who are uploading new content. They're going to boost your videos higher in search results if you're consistently posting new content because it shows them you're bringing viewers to the platform and you're creating content for the platform. So be consistent. Stick to one video upload a week. Please. Remember, you can grab my YouTube channel checklist in the description box below or right up here.
