Get More Subscribers by Changing Your YouTube Branded Watermark

In this video, I'm going to share with you one thing you can do in under five minutes to get more YouTube subscribers across all of your videos. Hi, my name is Trina. And let's just jump right into it. One of the things most people are not using Properly here on YouTube is your branded watermark. If you hover your mouse over that branded watermark, it is the easiest way for somebody watching your video to subscribe. So, so how do you optimize that branded watermark to make sure you're getting more subscribers from it? Well, you want to make that branded watermark look like a YouTube element. That means adding that red YouTube color and adding the word subscribe. So how do you update it? Let's jump onto the computer so I can show you how to do it in under five minutes.

All right, Once you're in your creator studio, what you want to do is go down to channel and you'll want to go right here to branding. This is where you can update your branded watermark. So how can you get a button like this? Well, you can create your own in Canva. So if you don't have a branded watermark yet, it's going to say add a watermark and it's going to give you the dimensions for the best results. So you want it to be a PNG or a gif and it should only be one megabyte and it's basically a square. So what I'm going to do is go into Canva. I'm actually just going to create an instac post because the YouTube watermark dimensions is a square and Instagram has defaulted a square template here. So what I'm going to do is upload the subscribe button I got from the Internet, make sure that's centered. I'm going to add some text. So now the secret is when you download it, you want to download it as a transparent background. So now when you come back to YouTube to add a watermark, go ahead and choose your file open and then you can hit save and there's what is going to show up. So go ahead and hit save. You'll see that's what your new watermark looks like. And you can do a custom time start time, you can start at five seconds in, you can do the entire video or end the video. And I prefer to always do the entire video update and you're done.
