If you are a person who has an online business owner or an entrepreneur girlfriend or wife, these are some great pieces for her to really get started with Video content Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Just the Tips with Trena where I provide online entrepreneurs tips and tricks on how to create a video content strategy that works for them. I'll put the links right up here. Like I said today I'm going to go through a list of possible Christmas gift ideas you could ask for or that you could buy someone in your life that is thinking about creating videos for their business. The first equipment I'm going to start out with is a camera. Maybe this person in your life or you are just using your phone which is perfectly fine. That's a great place to start, but you want to upgrade it. So one of the first pieces of equipment that I bought was my Canon G7X and I love this piece because it is an amazing camera. It films in hd, it has a flip up screen and it's portable. I just didn't want to really deal with the DSLR. I felt with the Canon G7X it was kind of a setup point, shoot and go type camera. So I really love my Canon G7X. The next camera, if you want to go all out on your Christmas list, is a Canon 70D. Now this camera will do pretty much everything for you. It's a professional camera, it's a dslr. There's a little bit more options that you have to mess with in the camera settings to set it up. And if you want to get this camera, I would definitely suggest getting getting an additional lens to go with it. The lens that I would suggest to go with it is the Canon 1018 millimeter lens. I'm going to link all this Equipment down in the description box below. So if you're unsure what I said or you want to write this down, go check out the description box. Everything's going to be listed below. This lens just makes everything look a little bit better. It has an image stabilizer, so if you do want to go the DSLR route, I would definitely suggest upgrading to an additional lens. So with your camera you're going to need camera cards and you want to make sure you have enough storage on those camera cards to be able to batch your content like I do. So I'd definitely start out with no smaller than a 64 gigabyte high speed camera card. I'll link my favorite ones down below so that you can see, but I definitely not get anything smaller than a 64 gigabyte because video does take up a lot of space. The next thing to think about is a tripod. I have two different tripod options listed down below. I use the Amazon Basic tripod. It's worked for me. I've been using it for over a year now. I don't have any issues with it. But there's also another option listed down below. Both are relatively cheap, I believe in the $20 to $30 US dollar price range. So a great Christmas gift idea. Next you want to really up your audio. So you got the DSLR camera or you already have the DSLR camera but your audio isn't matching up with your video. Your video is an amazing quality, but your audio is kind of crappy. So I would suggest going with the Rode Mic. It sits right on top of a Canon or any type of dslr. It's the Rode Mic Pro. It's also called a Shotgun mic. I'll link it down below. This is an amazing option to start with, especially with a DSLR camera. Another great mic that I use every day for all of my videos is the Blue Yeti Mic. I'll link that below. I haven't had any issues with it. I use it for webinars. I use it for workshops, for recording voiceovers for my courses. And I really enjoyed having my blue Yeti, which I got last year for Christmas. Next we're going to go into lighting. Now I definitely suggest if you have a chance to get some lighting for Christmas or ask for a lighting kit, I would start with a umbrella lighting kit or a soft box lighting kit. These are great for the price range, but if you want to go all out and someone really wants to get you something that you really love, I would definitely go for a ring light. My favorite One is the Diva Ring Light. I'll link it down below and it's actually something that's on my Christmas list this year. I'm hoping to get one this year. I currently use an umbrella kit. I've been using it since I've started my YouTube channel. No issues with it so far, but those are some great options to really up your lighting game. And especially if you don't have time to film during the day, you can film at night with these lighting options. And finally, I'm going to talk about some software that you could buy to upgrade your video editing if you're on a PC. I would look at the Corel Video Studio software and also Adobe. Adobe has Premiere Elements and also Premiere Pro. These are great options for PC users to really boost their editing and to actually buy an editing software. If you are on a Mac, obviously Final Cut Pro is an amazing option. I would definitely start there. Or you could do Adobe Premiere Pro too. And if you don't really want to invest in software and you would rather just stick with some of the equipment pieces, Imovie does come free with all Macs, so that's an option too. So these are some of my best Christmas gift ideas for the blogger or business owner in your life or if you are this business owner, things that you could ask for for Christmas that you could really get a lot of use out of. Let me know down below if you have any equipment questions, lighting or microphones. Let me know what questions you have about equipment down below if you I'll also link everything I mentioned in the description box below. If you know somebody who's thinking about doing video content in 2017 or you want to give a little hint to your significant other or a family member that these are the things that you might want for Christmas, go ahead and share this video on social media. All the social media links to share are down below for Twitter or Facebook wherever. As always guys, I thank you so much for coming to watch my videos and I will see you next time. Bye.
