Grow Your Channel FASTER with These PROVEN YouTube Strategies

This is a YouTube video titled "Grow Your Channel FASTER with These PROVEN YouTube Strategies" created in October 2024. The content features Trena Little delivering a detailed solo presentation on effective YouTube growth strategies for 2025, including the use of Shorts, evergreen content, community building, watch time focus, advanced analytics, and AI tools. The video is instructional and aimed at helping creators maximize their channel reach and engagement.
You know you're ready to focus on YouTube in 2025 and double down all of your resources there. But what are the most important things that you should be doing looking at your YouTube channel in 2025 to get the most out of the time you put into it. Whether you're planning to use your YouTube channel to sell more of your courses, book more coaching clients, even sell more digital products, These are the five strategies you'll want to focus on in 2025 to maximize your reach with every single YouTube video you publish, resulting in more sales for you. And do make sure you stay to the end because I've decided to throw in a little bonus strategy that helped me plan this video you're watching right now in less than 15 minutes. The first strategy is going to be important to focus at and think about Incorporating into your YouTube habits is YouTube Shorts. Now I know I've never really given my opinion. In fact my opinion leaned a little bit more towards don't do it.
But.
But I am starting to see things shift and YouTube algorithm starting to figure out what to do best with these shorts. They aren't going anywhere. YouTube is committed to them. So YouTube is going to do everything it can to make it work. So what does this mean for us in our YouTube strategy? Shorts will allow you to reach more people in these 30 second vertical videos because YouTube is pushing them more than any other type of content right now on the platform.
But.
But the key to using YouTube shorts properly is not just repurposing your video that you're normally filming on YouTube. Let me explain. You need to be shooting shorts natively unless you've got a really good piece of 30 second value in your videos. What I mean is your shorts that are going to help you grow your YouTube channel need to really pack a punch. Meaning you've got to be sharing quick tips that will solve problems even quicker. Think like mini tutorials that will really highlight and show your expertise. The other thing that you could be sharing on shorts too is behind the scenes type content to connect on a deeper level with your audience. But that short has to provide value. So it's going to be better for you to go in to creating shorts with a specific intention than just using like opus clip to split up your videos. That is if you want to maximize your reach with shorts. So for every one of these strategies I'm going to have an action item. And here's your action items for shorts. Just think right now, one topic or one question that your niche always has can you break that down into a short, less than 59 second short that shares that tip. Shorts are just like YouTube videos, so you need to make sure you've got a really good hook that is going to grab the attention immediately and is quickly addressing the pain point that your audience is having. And people peak curiosity on how you're going to solve that or answer the question. Now what you can do is add a call to action to the end of your short that could direct the viewers to a longer form video that you do have. So if I'm going to talk about quitting Instagram and I'm giving one tip I'm doing instead of doing Instagram, I could say go watch the full video I did about quitting Instagram. For all the things that I'm doing. Watch right here. You can watch right there. I did that one last week. But that's the call to action that you're going to get because then you can link your short to a longer form video. The next strategy to focus on on YouTube to continue to increase your reach in 2025 is consistency with evergreen content. Now consistency, you may think, oh yeah, I got a post every single week. But I'm talking about a different type of consistency here. In this second strategy, I'm talking about consistently creating evergreen topic videos. This is going to be really important for you to continue to grow your reach every single week because you want to create videos that will continue to drive people to to your channel weeks, months, years to come. And that is what evergreen topic videos will do. These are basically videos that your audience is always going to be searching for. When you can focus on content that songs long term problems or even answer this very fundamental questions for your ready to buy audience. These videos will never go out of style, so to speak. Meaning your audience will always be looking for these. So even though you've published them a long time ago, they will continue to work for you even if you decide to take a vacation from YouTube. The more evergreen videos you have, the more stronger and sustainable sustainable your YouTube channel will be. So your action step for strategy number two, go ahead and make a list of five to 10 questions that your ready to buy viewer is always asking you. These are going to be great for your foundational evergreen videos. Once you have that list, go ahead and pick one of those questions and create a video answering that question. That's going to be your first step to creating these consistent evergreen videos that is going to continue to allow your channel to reach more people in 2025. Strategy number three is going to be huge. And it is something that I am right now leaning more into and it is community on YouTube. Back in September during YouTube's annual event, they announced some big tools coming to YouTube specifically for community building. And I love it because this gives me a place to connect with all of you gu other than freaking Facebook. So the first thing I want to share that YouTube is introducing is called Communities and it says they are a new space that creators can enable on their channel page to foster deeper relationships with their audience. Both creator and subscribers can post art and pictures, share ideas and connect about the videos and the topic that they love. So I'm, I'm super excited for that. And the other thing that they announced was called Community Hubs and it is an upgraded space in the YouTube Studio app, which is where creators can more easily understand and engage with their audience. They didn't give a whole lot on this yet. You're going to start getting AI enhanced comment reply suggestions and then you can continue to respond even as your audience grows. It's going to help you communicate more and quicker and deeper with your comments and your community in general here on YouTube. So this is why you need to really be focusing your efforts on YouTube in 2025 on your community. The other place that you will want to focus on that most of us already have access to is the Community tab. I have loved this thing. In fact, I'm trying to ramp up to post at least every single day on the Community tab, at least Monday through Friday. Now here are the things that are going to work best on the Community tab. The first thing is polls. These are really great to get insight on what topics that your viewer would want to see. If you're also thinking about a product or a workshop or a course that you start getting feedback from your audience there. If you're unsure who your audience is, start asking them questions. Ask them Are you a course creator? Are you a coach? Are you a YouTuber? This just allows you to get more information about your audience as well. You could also share like quick tips on your Community tab. But I will tell you, community posts will get more engagement, more reach. People will see it more if you have a photo with it. Just doing a text post doesn't really do too much, so you'll want to have some type of photo to tie in with your posts. And you you don't just want to use it as a promotional place for your YouTube videos. You really want to use the Community tab as a place to make connection and get feedback from your community. All right. So your action step for number three is post a poll on your community tab. Like right now, the easiest one to do is to poll your community what topic they would like to see from you next. This allows them to feel like they're helping and engaging in your selection and is also letting you know exactly what they want to see from you. You could also then take a picture of yourself filming that video and do another community post saying y' all asked for it. Here's me doing this video. It's coming up this date, right? It gets them excited, it keeps them engaged, it keeps them invested in you. I would actually love for you to show me that you are going to take an action item from this video and do it. So go ahead in the comments below and share with me one poll question that you are going to ask your audience on your community tab within the next 24 hours. Share that poll question down in the comments below. Strategy number four is to focus on watch time, not viewers Now I know this is a hard one to adjust because vanity metrics seem to be important, but let me break down this particular strategy a little bit more. The YouTube algorithm cares how long people are watching your videos, as opposed to how many people are clicking on your videos.
Alright, write that down.
YouTube cares about how long people are watching your videos, not how many people click on your video. The longer somebody watches one of your videos, the more likely YouTube is going to push that video to more people. So if you're getting 500 views on a video, but on average people aren't even getting to the first minute of your video, that's not good. YouTube's not going to push that. But if you have 100 people click and watch your video over five, six, seven minutes long, YouTube is going to push that particular video to more people than the video that got 500 views of people just watching a minute or less. Because watch time is a powerful signal to the algorithm that your content is valuable and worth recommending. And this is the big bonus of being on YouTube because YouTube can promote you to more people for free. You don't have to pay for it like you need to do on meta, where a lot of getting reach over on meta is pay to play. So this is why you need to play by YouTube's rules by focusing on getting people to actually watch your videos and then instead of worrying about how many views you got. This is exactly why I recently updated my video game plan and turned it into to a mini course that you can buy right now. Not only do you get the Video game plan template that I use to plan every single one of these videos. But I also walk you through how to come up with compelling titles and thumbnails so people click on it, but how to create a solid hook so that you can keep people watching in those first 15 critical seconds. And then I walk you through that template, the video game plan template to show you how to different ways and different structures to keep people engaged through the entire video so that you can increase your watch time on your videos. If you want to grab this mini course that I have right now, go to trinalittle.com video plan to grab it right now. I've used this template to plan hundreds of my videos and I give these to my clients and review their game plans multiple times a week so that they know their videos are set up for watch time. Here's your action step for strategy number four. If you have videos on your channel right now, you need to go into the audience retention graph and start to figure out what's going on with your videos. Are you doing a good job keeping people's attention? Are people leaving in the first 10 seconds of your video? Are they making it to a certain part of your video and then leaving? This is how you're going to start to figure out what you can do to make your videos better. I get people watching ideally to the end. And then you'll want to plan your videos with three core structures in mind, which is title and thumbnail determination. First your hook and then ways to engage them throughout the video, which is exactly what I cover in my video game plan mini course. All right, I want a little truth time right now. Tell me in the comments, what is the hardest part or the biggest struggle that you are having with your YouTube channel right now? Is it getting views? Is it getting better click through rates? Is it increasing audience retention? I'm doubling down on YouTube as you know, and I want to be creating the videos here on my channel that you need to help you solve any of your struggles with YouTube. So make sure you leave those questions, those struggles down in the comments below so I can add those as videos I will plan to create. Strategy number five to focus on to continue to grow your reach and your audience here on YouTube in 2025 is advanced analytics. Now let me talk a little bit more about what I mean when I say advanced analytics. But before I do, I wanted to share with you. I truly believe this is a critical part for people on YouTube to continue to see success on YouTube. So much so that I'm Planning to incorporate a once a month live stream where I'm going to walk you through myself, auditing my own channel so you can follow along with me to see what I'm looking at, to see how I'm interpreting that data so you can look at that data as well. Because it is so important for you to take time every single month to look at what's going on with your YouTube analytics because that will tell you the answers to what to do next. So I'm going to start dropping these live streams probably next month, November time period. So make sure you are subscribed because these will be live videos that you can join me. You can ask me questions as I walk through step by step every single month auditing and analyzing my YouTube channel. If you're excited about these live analytic reviews, go ahead and hit that thumbs up button. If we can get to a hundred, I will do the live stream earlier than I planned. Here are the top three advanced analytics you will want to watch specifically. First, audience retention.
So to look at your audience retention, you're going to come into one of.
Your particular videos and go to the.
Bottom and look at this graph right here. Now, specifically you want to see where there are any steep declines like right here or steep inclines right here. The steep declines are going to tell you what you can fix moving forward or leave out. So if I come to this part of my video right here and press.
This play, you need to make a change right now if you want to continue seeing results into 2025. The thing is the space, this online space has become more competitive. Customers have become savvier, they bought.
So I am taking too long to get to the point of you're wasting your time on the wrong platform. I need to answer this question for them sooner and they aren't waiting around here. And that's why I'm losing audience retention. Now audience retention bumps back up right here so I can see what did I do here?
All right, creating content for your business. Like now, what piece of content are you creating to grow your audience? Blogging, podcasting, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn. Let me know in the comments. And how do you feel right now about creating content? Excited, motivated, tired, burnt out, overwhelmed. Let me just know kind of what's going on with you so I can get a sense of the headspace that we have here in the comments. I've been talking about this for the past couple weeks.
So they jumped to why YouTube is the solution. So this title screen grabbed their attention and they kind of skimmed and went back to skimmed and jumped to YouTube is the solution. So I know from that data that my audience is really interested in learning about YouTube is the solution.
So those are the things you're going to be looking at when you're auditing.
Or analyzing your audience retention graphs.
The second advanced analytic you're going to look at is the subscriber growth by video.
So to find subscriber growth, you're going to go into see more subscriber growth by video. Then we are going to go here, we are going to click on subscribers gained and you'll be able to see which videos are driving you the most subscribers you can see. This particular video has since September 18th actually, which is only about a month, grew me 73 new subscribers. This one that I just posted as the time of recording this last week grew me 40 subscribers already.
So that's how you can tell what.
Content is really hitting your audience.
Now.
This is in the last 28 days, so you could bump this out to 90 days to see what some past content has done. So in 90 days these videos around small channels are growing my channel as.
Well and start to identify any patterns like what topics, what formats or even video lengths seem to be attracting new subscribers. This is going to be solid gold for you. When you're planning content for your YouTube channel, the third thing to look at is your traffic sources.
So if you're wanting to figure out.
Where your traffic is coming from, you'll.
Click up here at traffic sources and and you'll see browse feature which is the homepage external which is generally Google, also from my website, also from my funnel pages Pinterest. And then you'll see suggested videos here which specific videos are people watching and then watching more of your content. And then finally YouTube search is a big one and seeing what topics or what are people searching to then watch your content as well.
And this will really help you start to refine what your promotion strategies for your videos are going to be. And I actually talk about all the different ways you can promote your YouTube channel and your video in my Video Game Plan mini course. So definitely grab that. All right, here's the six or bonus strategy that I talked about that is really going to change the game for you in 2025 and that's using AI and automations. If you are serious about leveling up your YouTube channel, you've got to start using AI to help you speed up your process and automations to do some things for you. So you continue to put your focus and your genius on the actual content and recording of the video. Most creators get stuck in this brainstorming cycle and doing it manually. Everything from coming up with ideas to titles to thumbnails, even editing videos. But there are AI tools that will speed up this process for you. So for example, this particular video I went into Vidiq and they have an AI assistant and I asked it if I wanted to grow my channel by 50,000 subscribers in the next 90 days. What are seven videos that I should create? And that helped me come up with some videos. Then I prefer ChatGPT. But Chat GTP doesn't know my YouTube channel like Vidiq does because it's attached to it.
So.
So I asked Vidiq, please tell me everything that you know about my channel. And it spit out all this information. So then I took that information, I put it into Chat gtp, letting it know this is the information about my channel. Here are my goals for my channel in the next 90 days. This is the video that I want to create. Next, please break down a script with title ideas and thumbnail ideas and that is the video you are watching right now. I also had Chat GTP then write the description box for this video. Also recommend tags, which is something I'm playing with. So using AI is going to allow you to speed up your process. And the goal for me is to get it to speed up my process. So I'm posting at least two new videos every single week. If you're interested in me talking more about how I use certain AI tools in my YouTube process, go ahead and comment AI tools below so that you know you are interested in it. And if you're still thinking about different ways you can grow your small YouTube channel, I did an entire series recently and what you can do right now to start growing that small YouTube channel. So if you want to make sure you're doing everything that you can to see Success on your YouTube channel, to see it continue grow in 2025, make sure you click that playlist that is on your screen right now and watch that entire series. It's worth every minute. Click the how to grow your small YouTube channel in 2024 playlist right there.
