Trena Little is stepping back from YouTube to focus on family and her business while avoiding burnout. She's planning to shift her content direction and wants viewer feedback on what comes next.
Well, this isn't clickbait. I am hitting pause on my YouTube channel for right now and I want to let you know, many of you here on my YouTube channel have been following me for years. I've been loving your comments, responding to you in the comments, and just creating that relationship in the comments. But while I am hitting pause for right now and I'm going to share why here in a minute, I'm not going to be gone forever. I'm hitting pause for the next couple of weeks because of a lot of reasons. First of all, it's summer and kids are home. There are camps and swim teams and those extra things that go along with kids at home and not in school. So I'm balancing that. And the other reason why is because my business is thriving and we have more work than our team can sustain right now. And one of the core things that I decided that I would never do as a leader in my business was overwork my team and we've been getting pretty close to that. And so hitting pause on creating YouTube content for right now. So one, I can focus on all of my clients inside of my coaching program that we released in April, 10k on replay. I'm helping them launch their very first course. I'm helping them launch a new course and I cannot wait to see the results that they're going to have this month. Through 10K on replay, as well as our YouTube production agency, we have maxed out of clients, we have a wait list and we are hiring a brand new full time account manager over there as well because we've got so many clients that our team can't handle it. So we're also going to be working this month to hire a new employee. And that's crazy to say because I have two full time employees now and we're looking to hire another full time employee. And so as much as I love being here on YouTube and I love creating this content, I've got to focus on the business because it is thriving and I've got to get the support to my people, my employees and my clients over there before I create content on YouTube. There's also another reason I want to take a pause on YouTube is because I want to kind of pivot my content a little bit. And I'm still going to be talking about YouTube, but I want to share more content around how my business got to this point and how I was able to do it without burning out and without any like over the night success moments. Because the past six years has been hard as as hell. And there was no like over the night success moment. There was no like viral video, there was no like viral launch that happened. This has been sustainable, consistent moving forward in my business to get it to this point. And it's insane to think that the revenue that we made in 2021, which was just under half a million dollars, we will approach that in July, which is just insane for me. And I want to share more about that I did it and how I took my path and how it took longer because I had babies at home. But it's sustainable and I'm not having this huge influx and then nothing and then influx. It's been sustainable, gradual steps. So with that being said, I'm going to have a survey either popping up up here or in the comments below getting your feedback on the type of content you would like to see here on YouTube. As we build my team, it's also allowing me to spend more time creating fun, unique, creative YouTube video again. And so I'm going to be really excited to jump back into YouTube here at the end of July and have fun with it. Do new filming techniques, tell more stories and I can't wait to do this. But I want to know what kind of content you're interested in seeing from me. What kind of background stories are you interested in hearing? What about business and how YouTube and business all work together are you interested in hearing? And so whether you share that in the comments below or you fill out the survey that we have available, I want to hear from you because I want to tie in what you want to know with the content that I excited to create because I'm really invigorated again to create fun content, not just sit down here and share 10 ways to grow your YouTube channel or 7 mistakes people tell you or how to rank a YouTube video anymore. I want to have fun. I want you to see more of me and my personality and not so tied up and like how I balance the kids and get to school and what my day to day life looks like and the things we've done behind the scenes to build this business. So this is a completely unscripted video. I think I covered all the points that I wanted to cover and I can't wait to jump back in. Wait for me. I will be back. Don't worry. I am going on vacation during this time as well. And so instead of stressing myself out and overwhelming myself, which is something I preach against stressing and overwhelming yourself. I'm just taking a few weeks off of YouTube. I think it's around three to four total weeks off of YouTube here. But that just gives me time to reset, have my two week vacation, which my business has allowed me to do. Two week vacation right on the beach, right up to the waves, allow my team to breathe and not get overwhelmed. Allow my team to have Fridays off this summer. So that's something we did too. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, my team now has off on Fridays. And for us to be able to do all of that and for me to lead my team and to create a team environment that I love, I got to take something off my plate. And for now, that's YouTube. It will also probably be Instagram as well and maybe popping into stories here and there. So if you do want to catch me, catch me on Instagram stories. There will be no official posts or no like official schedule, but I will be sharing a little bit about what I'm doing during my hiatus here over on Instagram. And again, I cannot thank you all enough for showing up here on my YouTube channel, for watching my videos, for commenting, for subscribing, for sharing out my content, for enrolling in my programs, for working with me. It's because of you that I am able to take this step and take some time off of YouTube, to work on the business, to grow the business to that next level and to put the time into developing a business environment that I am happy about and that I am proud to be a part of. So I hope you have a great summer and I'll catch you back here in the end of July.
