Being a business owner can be stressful and overwhelming. Throw in a few kids, a husband and a couple clients and boy does your plate get full fast. So how do you ever find time to take care of yourself? In today's video, I'm going to share with you my best tips for achieving work life balance. Hey guys, my name is Trena and welcome to another episode of Just the Tips. If you are not subscribed to my channel yet, make sure you click that subscribe button down below because I'm posting new videos every every single week to help you use video in your business strategy. I would love to hear from you. What is one thing that you would do more often if you had more time in your day? Let me know down in the comment section below. I know I would read more. I definitely don't get to read as many books as I used to and if I had more time in the day I would definitely start reading more. So My first tip for achieving work life balance is setting office hours. In this online world, it can be so easy to work all the time. But you need to set office hours. Whether that be 8 to 5, noon to 8pm Whatever works for you. Set office hours. Make sure your clients know it. Make sure anybody who's working with you knows this is your office hours and that's when you work. And then stick to it. Don't work outside of those office hours. Don't take calls outside of those office hours. Just work to the time that you set. My second tip for you is to hide your phone. So after your office hours are over, hide your phone, put it under the pillow on your bed, put it under your bed, put it in the freezer. I don't know. Just hide it so it's not in your eyesight. By not hearing all the dings and notifications, it will definitely allow you to focus more on enjoying your time away from work and spending it with your family. My My third tip for achieving work life balance is acceptance. Accept that you might not get everything done in your workday that you wanted to accept that you might not get that new post op or that new Instagram post or that new video. Accept it. Accept that you can't be Superwoman. Accept that you are enough. Accept that you are doing enough and stop comparing yourself to others because your journey is much more different than anybody else's journey. You will get there. It just doesn't need to follow the same path as hers or hers or hers. You need to follow your path and accept that. And then my little bonus tip for you is to set time for yourself. Schedule it into your week without getting the rest that you need. You aren't helping your business, you aren't helping your family, you aren't helping your friends, and you aren't helping you. Trust me, I know from experience it will be okay if you take a personal day. It will be okay if you take a nap. It will be okay if you sleep in and you don't get that Facebook post up or you don't respond to that Instagram post or you don't respond to that email within 24 hours. It will be okay. Trust me, the world isn't going to come crumbling down because you missed something on social media. If you want to join a Facebook group full of fellow business owners trying to make it in this online world, make sure you check out my Facebook group video for Biz Crew. I'll put the link to join down in the description box. The members in this group are there to support one another in whatever journey we are taking in this business world.
