Uh, the record button's on now what do I do? Hey, guys. Welcome back to another episode of Just the Tips with Trina where I provide online entrepreneurs tips and tricks on how to create a video content strategy that works for them. If you have been following this series, you know this is part three of building your confidence on camera series. Make sure you're subscribed to this channel so that you don't miss out on these videos. I. I'm going to link the first and second videos right up here so that you can go back and watch those after you watch this video. I've just taken the past three weeks to really help you build your confidence on camera so that when a time comes for you to hit record, you are ready to go and create video content for your business. Today we are going to talk about how to keep your confidence up when you hit that record button. Because that can be a scary time. When you hit that button and you see that little red flashing button right over there, you can tend to freeze up or panic or just totally forget everything I've taught you from the last two weeks. The first thing I want you to do is to figure out where you're most comfortable. Are you comfortable standing up or sitting down? For this channel particularly, I like standing up because I'm so passionate about this topic and talking to you guys that I like to move around, I like to move my hands, I like. I like to get into the content. So for this particular channel, I like standing up. I'm comfortable standing up, but that's what works for me. If it's easier for you to sit down, feel free to sit down, but test that out. See which one you like. Where do you feel more comfortable with? That's really going to help you build your confidence if you're actually comfortable while you're delivering your content on camera. Next, I want you to lean forward. Whether you're leaning forward on a chair or on your feet, just lean forward. It kind of makes you feel like you're on the offense and that you're engaging in a conversation with somebody. Because you're leaning in. Typically when you sit at a coffee shop with your friend, you're not leaning back like this, talking to them. You're into the conversation. So you're leaned in, you got your elbows on the table or whatever, and you're really listening. So just by that act of leaning in, you start to build your confidence more because it feels like a real conversation and it's easier. Easier to get words out and to have your Sentences flow. And to keep your confidence up next, I want you to smile. Just remember to smile because that is such a behavioral instance that if you do, it can really shift your mindset. Just smiling can make you feel good about yourself, make you confident, and you won't have any problem talking on camera if you just remember to smile now. Now if you're really scared and you turn that camera on and you automatically just kind of like clam up like this, you can see I'm not smiling and you can just feel the vibe change. But then I turn on a smile and it's just a totally different behavior, different action. And it really affects your whole mindset if you're smiling. So remember, smile. Hopefully I don't have lipstick on my teeth. And finally, remember, your audience wants to hear from you. They want to see you on video. They want to consume your content. They're going to be excited to see what it is that you're creating. You don't need to worry about what people are going to say about you because everybody knows how difficult it can be to step out on a limb and put yourself on on camera. We all know how much confidence and how much strength it takes to get on camera. So nobody is really going to judge you. Now maybe some trolls that don't have anything better to do, but we just ignore those because they just happen in life and we just got to let them do their thing. But we know deep down inside that what they're saying doesn't matter. The people that matter are the ones that are supporting us and telling us how proud they are to that we got out there on camera. So tell yourself I'm doing this for my audience and this is what they want from me. I really hope that you enjoyed this three part series.
