How To Become Verified On Youtube

In today's video, I'm going to show you how you can verify your YouTube channel in under one minute so you can unlock some special features in YouTube. Hey guys, my name is Trena and welcome back to another episode of Just the Tips with Trena. If you are new here and you want to continue learning more about YouTube and how you can use it in your business strategy, make sure you click that subscribe button down below so you don't miss out on any more of my videos. So why should you verify your account? Well one, if you verify your account, you can upload videos longer than 15 minutes. You will be able to go live on YouTube live and you'll be able to upload custom thumbnails. So let me know down in the comments below. And let's go over to my computer so I can show you exactly how to verify your YouTube account.

So once you log into your YouTube account, you want to go up to your avatar and click Creator Studio. From here you want to go over to the Channel tab right here and you're going to see your status for a lot of these YouTube features. And you'll see a lot aren't enabled and a lot aren't green and that's because your channel has not been verified. So what you want to do is go up here to this blue checkbox and click it, select the country that you're from and decide whether you want Google to call you with an automated voice message or text you a verification code. Then enter in your phone number. Then you want to go ahead and enter in that six digit verification code and click Submit. Now you are officially verified. Go ahead and click Continue. And now you see custom Thumbnails is enabled. You can go in here and enable monetization. You also can do external annotations. You also can do longer videos. So just by verifying your account, you get a lot more availability here in YouTube.
