We all know how important it is to grow our list. Everybody's talking about it. Grow your list. Five steps for growing your list. How to grow your list fast. So how can you exactly grow your list by being on YouTube and creating video content. Don't worry, I got you covered. Today I'm going to give you a couple ways that you can grow your email list while being on YouTube. Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Just the Tips with Trena where I provide online entrepreneurs tips and tricks on how to create a video content strategy that works for them and their business. If you aren't subscribed to my channel yet, make sure you go ahead by clicking that red subscribe button right down below. That way you'll be notified every time I upload some new content. Like I said today, I'm going to talk about how you can convert your YouTube viewers into email subscribers. Because let's face it, having people on our own email list is a safe haven, right? We never know what could happen to say, Facebook or YouTube or Twitter. Those platforms could technically be gone tomorrow and all of our audience that we've built on there could disappear overnight. Now, probably won't happen, but it could. You're not in control of that, so why not make sure you're collecting the content you need and be in control of that? So one of the first ways to start converting your video viewers into email subscribers is to use your description box. Now in those first one to three lines in your description box have a call to action and and a link to where they can sign up for something or to get a free download. So I do this with almost all my videos. I share a free video script template. So if somebody wants to start creating video for their business, I have a script template that's going to break down each section of a video to help them better write their video content. So if you want to grab that template, you can always go in the description box below and click that link. That's going to grab their email and then I'm going to send them some amazing content that they're really going to appreciate. The next option is to use cards. YouTube offered this just about a year ago and it is an amazing feature because it's clickable on mobile and on desktop. So the way I use this is I also will call out my free opt in and say just click the card above to get my free download. When they click on that, it takes them to a site sign up page. They put their email address in and they get my download. Another Great way to make sure that people are staying on your channel or that they're not ending their view time is to have a thank you page after they have signed up for your free content, letting them know, oh by the way, did you subscribe to my channel or did you check out this video? Having another video to get them back onto your YouTube platform to keep watching more content from you because this helps you get ranked in YouTube and it really helps you to boost your authority on YouTube to get all of your videos ranked higher. One of the things I also focus on when providing a free opt in is I will leave the same opt in for every single video. And the reason why I do this is because once I have their email, I can reach them from email. I don't need them to keep signing up for different stuff. And if I did, I'd keep getting those viewers off off of my YouTube platform. And I don't want to do that. I want to keep them on my YouTube channel as long as possible and watching as many videos as possible to contribute to my watch time and build my authority on YouTube, like I said, is ultimately going to get you ranked higher in YouTube. So stick to just one opt in specifically on your channel so that people aren't continually clicking off of your channel to opt into something. Now once you have their email, you really want to focus on providing them quality content. You want to make sure that your content is going to be helpful to them. It's going to help them to get to where they want to go. If it's with video content, if it's with social media, whatever you're focusing on, that content needs to be helpful because they gave you your email address and you really don't want to abuse that. These are just some of the ways that you can use video to start growing your email list. I don't want you to think just because you're on YouTube that you grow an email list. It's totally possible. Just make sure you're using the cards function, you're having a call to action in your videos, make sure you have a link in your description box and just really focus on pushing people to one opt in so they're not continually clicking off of your YouTube video. So I want to know what do you think about this? Are you thinking about using video content in your business strategy anytime soon? Have you clicked on any opt ins from YouTube? Let me know below what you've experienced. I want to talk about this a little bit more about the idea of collecting email subscribers from video so let's talk down below. If you found this video helpful or, you know, this could really benefit somebody else, make sure you go ahead and share it on social media. All the links to do so are down below. All you have to do is just click on the little, you know, square social media icon and you can share it on Facebook or Twitter. And I thank you guys so much for watching. I really appreciate the time you take out of your day to watch this content that I create for you and I will see you next time. Bye.
